  1. Yap, they do. I trust this air con contractor is bcos previously, I deal directly with them. Insultation materials used are for commercial offices, hence are thicker and weather proof. Price wise, I cannot say they are the best, could be on par with others. I don't know where is their office, normally I call the boss for Quotation and arrange site survey.
  2. My ex-company air-con contractor quote me $600 for the following job - Dismantle 2 unit of Fan Coil, all pipings and casing (Panasonic Sys-2) - Safe-Keep in my contractor store for the reno period, abt 3mths - Wash and service fan coils - Install and run all new pipings and casing for 2 fan coils Reasonable?
  3. Material going to cost around $800. $1,200 for 3-4 labours across 3~4 days, reasonable!!
  4. Ya man. Paying wood, I rather pay for concrete. In fact, same goes to wardrobe, I rather pay for pole system then wooden cabinet, moreover pole system is flexible in some ways.
  5. Good lobang must share share, anyway I don't gain anything if I don't share. Must give more support to "honest" retail shop. Cheers...
  6. Went 3 places for door knobs and finally I found the cheapest, which is just around my neighbourhood, Gek Poh Shopping Mall. Since is Bedroom door knob, I don't really bother abt the quallity but care more on the finishing look. Another criteria on my knob is, the locking portion must be push button type, standard and more common ones are those twist to lock type. Although is cheapest but cannot compare with those round knob, which cost around $6 and is abt 3x times cheaper than handler type. Same shop, gotten 3 + 1 magnet. Bedroom Door Knob - $17.90 Main Door & Bedroom Door Magnets - $9.50 & $4.50
  7. I think concrete top is much cheaper. But solid top is nicer.
  8. Personally, I prefer "hidden" concrete support for Sink and Stove. I don't trust wooden support, especially for sink.
  9. Very near to City Square. MAP If you got GPS, set cordinates to 1.483902 103.767618 Cheers....
  10. In fact I did thot of that but who will trust me leh? Bcos the shop uncle told me if I increase quantity, he can sell me @ RM300. =D Btw, I'm go in again to get 2 x Panasonic Instant Shower w/ Jet Pump @ RM407ea, price increased... =( Kong Tai @ Jurong West selling @ $160. So far, cheapest in SG.
  11. I spoken to Urban Design before, pre-sales is very good and very close follow-up but MUST carefully go through all revised quotations. The only bad experience i had with Urban is lack of consistency. Overall ok.
  12. My desired idea on my walk-in wardrode... But not so "luxury" big... Photo taken from a Malaysia Mazagine, brand is Alumix.
  13. I also planning to buy Panasonic Instant Shower with Jet Pump, DH-3HP1M @ RM380 from YES Electrical Supply. Anyone have experienced on this "Jet Pump" technology before? Website Side track abit, my ID again, same shop, *** quote me S$220 for Alpha Brand shower. Alpha brand is Malaysia brand and with the same price, I can get 707 from Kong Tai @ Jurong West + 2-way Cab fare + a bended ice coffee, guess still got remaining.
  14. Once we talk abt air-con, there's nvr a savings in electricity. Likewise inverter vs non-inverter, who can prove the savings? All these are sales talk and marketing strategies. Single unit like splendid consume 5.5A for 15K BTU VS Panasonic System2 non-inverter, 18K BTU @ 6.6A, isn't it the same?
  15. Yup... Have to pay GST but 1 citizen or PR , above 18yrs old, is entitled to S$50 rebate on total bill. e.g. 1 x KDK = RM315 = S$136 Payable GST 7% = (S$136 - S$50) x 7% = S$6.02 Dealer name : YES Electrical Supply Address : 22, Jln Serampang, Taman Pelangi, 80050 Johor Bahru, Johor. Phone : 07- 3339900 Look for uncle, mention recommend by Evonne (my wife), fyi RM315 is for buying 5 units, call and nego the price before u go. =) **For more details on TAX relief, pls go to CUSTOMS and have a look.
  16. Well.. Give and take, forgive and forget. Happy goes lucky, otherwise my reno path will not be a wonderdul and memorable one.
  17. I already "slap" them hard enuff when in the shop. Anyway, I learnt a lesson too...
  18. Eh... To be friendly with my pocket, branding for is not a priority to me, feel and touch is more important for items like tap, wc and sink. For electrical appliances, yes I care. E.g. KDK ceiling fan, no 2nd thots. For lightings, ballast and tube are the main things, other than tat, i believe all are ITALY designed but Made in CHINA.
  19. I dun quite get wat u mean but at Lighting.com I did saw some different square downlight but all below $30 > Coloured Border with Frosted glass cover (Standard one) > Coloured Border with 4 Square clear glass designed on Frosted glass cover > Coloured Border with glass border and Frosted glass cover, to create illum effect Cheers...
  20. I do agree. Is unbelievable cheap! Got to know this shop in Renotalk forum. Really good deal.
  21. This problem is very common. My parent "hambuger" lights also will trap. =)
