  1. Haha nah no preference over the brand really. Mitsubishi is more ex by couple of hundreds going by the coolserve webby and consumes more power but I suppose that comes with the higher BTU? Just guessing. Lol.
  2. Haha most of the time I also only go down on wkends or when on leave. My reno is ok so far. Some touch ups needed, hopefully will get them done. Laminates up today Should be going down later to kpo. Haha. Hacking soon for you!
  3. Hi neighbour, My quote was around 38k. Does not include laminate flooring which we sourced direct from the flooring company. How about yours? Need further breakdown just let me know again
  4. Probably not much consideration into the aesthetics part. True, I guess it's paying for their design, which seems unique to each place from my layman view Would have loved to see how they would have designed my place if I could. He is a very easy person to talk to, judging from the long chat we had just for the meetup. Haha.
  5. Yep mine is Daikin. Just checked, my MBR and other room that we are likely to use the air con most often are smaller than yours. MBR will have a 12k blower also. Just height wise is higher. Hmm. Hopefully enough. Mitsubishi has higher BTU though, now that you mention..
  6. Thanks Mickey M Haha. Good for taking a long bath after work. Can I just say that your flat design is really adventurous btw, I would never have been able to come up with that creativity..
  7. Faster = save gas? Shall treat the hob as an investment then.
  8. Likely that we will only use 2 at the same time, which was why the lady told us that non-inverter should be ok. However, when her main worker came down to run the pipes, he was apprehensive coz he mentioned about us having the high ceiling. He said that inverter total output is 27 BTU as compared to non-inverter which is 20BTU? :/ Dunno who is right now...
  9. Ya coz I combined two toilets into one. Haha. That's all I have for now. Hopefully no food gets burnt when we start using it! Heard that it cooks faster or something..
  10. Hey looks like your finalised your contractor, looking forward to your updates
  11. Haha! That is so true. It is so stuffy now whenever I go down coz there are no lights and fans. Ya air con if you decide to install later it's going to be a pain. Previously I thought to install less aircons since we wondered if we would be using it that much in other rooms, but as you said, installing later will be a hassle later. What air con system you installing btw? Planned for system 4 but non-inverter. Air con guy came down and said ours might not have enough "cooling power". Now dunno if to change to inverter which is a good 1k more...
  12. Yep very ugly if not covered up I feel, mine has a big pipe protruding out also! Hdb really didn't consider how the pipes would look. Wanted to go for an "open" and simple kitchen without much cabinets or boxing up, but I think it's either that or ugly pipes :/ Thanks, will go back through your posts to see. Btw, I also went down to see Dess previously, but going by the meet up I guessed I didn't have the budget to hire him so didn't reach the quotation stage. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your total quote
  13. Master toilet Wrong shower head installed, got to rectify later Old storage heater to be removed
  14. Relocated door entrance Scribbles scribbles Toilet kerb
  15. Kitchen toilet The bidet touching the floor bothers me somehow :/
  16. Haha really ar. I was a bit apprehensive especially before they did the grouting. Looks better after, but not the typical white kitchen tiles I suppose. Wow your eyes are sharp eh, can read my carton boxes. Ya, I got the inner flame hob! Lol. I got the 3 burner also, hubby said he wants to use it to cook maggi mee :/ Rather ex eh the hob! I was only looking at turbo previously which was probably half the price. I hope the reviews are worth it.
  17. balcony wall tiles balcony floor tiles.. foot massage anyone? Think my hubby trying for the resort feel or something
  18. Loading in progress. Haha. Tiling is more or less completed already actually. Painting and electrical also up. Just that forgetful me can't remember to bring down camera everytime. Lol.
  19. Some updates.... Living room Entrance to kitchen from living room Kitchen with ugly pipes wasn't too sure if the grey tiles will appear too dark.. Looking out to the balcony
  20. How will you be covering the pipes in the kitchen? Cabinets or just boxing up? My kitchen pipes are also kinda protruding out like yours
  21. Thanks wenny, hopefully the rest of your reno has no hiccups. I have only gotten my laminates direct from the flooring company and already coordination just for that is trouble enough So I can't imagine how you did it, but being able to save 10k is a lot!
  22. IKEA isn't that cheap sometimes I find, not too sure if the wood used is different though? I always worry about the wood used coz I see some IKEA bookshelves sag from the display weight, though some are thicker (but more expensive). Haha, your air conditioning was planned later is it? Seems like it affected ur fan + glass. But the fans and glass are looking pretty good anyways. Aesthetics has a price I guess
  23. Hi wenny, thanks for the welcome iirc, you are also an EM owner and sourced for a number of contractors by yourself? Pei fu. How is your reno going?
  24. wow u did lots of carpentry! Your fans are looking pretty cool. I guess it's worth the price you paid
