Nice-looking cupboards... Ur wood-like floor tiles are really unique...

Hi KSJL, Shop is Absolute Bedding at IFC. The previous sales person quit apparently and we had so much trouble arranging for delivery. They will say that they can't find our invoice and need to call us back repeatedly. And sometimes they don't call back. The mattress and bed frame was delivered separately so my mil already passed them the cheque for the balance payment when the mattress was delivered earlier. Sigh. Too bad I couldn't afford to take leave that day and hold back the payment instead. Bed frame was supposed to deliver last Thursday from 3-6pm. Started calling them at 6 plus when no one in sight until at 9 plus, they told me dunno which driver was supposed to deliver the frame. Have to delay til yesterday.

Thanks butterfingerzz, was initally worried about how the flooring would turn out Called the shop re the bed frame, they told me to call back on monday because the logistics person has gone off.

Hi fifteenmay, do you mean the 2 piece glass thingy? That's about 70 plus..
-
That's all for now... Kinda disheartened with the recent delivery of furnitures: wrong and damaged bookshelf, missing stool, tear in sofa (which the delivery guy tried to cover up by saying drawing over it with a marker will do), delayed table. Recently with the bed frame, delivery was supposed to be on thursday but driver was MIA and shop couldn't contact/ detect which driver. It was delivered today but with a tear also. Sigh. Don't know if I should call up the shop to make a fuss. Ranting a bit here apologies to anyone, just wish everything were over and complete...

Some lights... My fave light, unfortunately one of the glass pieces cracked. And this is the last piece in the shop

hi rasfene sorry for the lack of updates, just shifted in yesterday. Gonna load some pics taken before we shifted in, probably take some later when the mess/boxes/dust is lesser... No updates on your side also? Looking forward to seeing your final product. Your ID Lloyd has some pretty impressing designs..

Yep, the carpentry was up pretty fast actually, couple of days only and most of the things are up, left with the countertops when I went down yday. Lol. Ya the weather has been very hot, probably flooded with orders the shop. Checked with my contractor, he said shouldn't affect the HO day too much, so hopefully can shift in by end of this month. Pics please when your ceiling fans are up!
-
oh ok, mine also has that and i was wondering is mine the only one like that haha... coz I took a look at other wardrobe pics but I don't see it...
-
Hey, can't see clearly from your pics... just like to ask if there are strips of black furry stuff at the edges of your wardrobe doors? I think to prevent the doors from being "slammed"?
-
Haha I think ur ceiling fans cost quite a bit le. My lights also around the same price, but I didn't get any ceiling fans. My place carpentry is ongoing, requested to HO on 21st but just now heard that aircon installation is going to be delayed as they are too packed. Dunno if can meet the HO date then. Sigh.

Wow how many lights did you buy? For my staircase area, the only rewiring was to mid point, so i doubt they got scafolding. But considering you're going to plaster, I think they would need it?
-
wow ur hall looks really spacious.. and love your dark colored tiles, looks like your place is really coming together now! and going by your choice of accessories, i think you're someone who goes for good quality just went to check out the song cho kitchen accessories and wow the price diff as compared to other brands is quite big... but i guess quality is different..
-
Thanks, yep laminated flooring
-
Nope, i think it is because there is an additional layer of rubber-like material underneath. This it to reduce the "walking on air" effect supposedly.
-
wow 3.2k for plastering! Haha good thing I didn't ask, decided that can save on that. Ya my door was rusty also, very hard to slide open/close. When I saw the price, thought of sticking to the rusty door also, but I got over-ruled.. Thanks, the laminates were costlier than usual, but I think it came out rather well
-
about 1.7k, it's one of the most expensive single item but the old door tended to get stuck, so decided to change. If it's just silver or bronze instead of white color, will be cheaper by 200 bucks. changing your balcony door?
-
so your quote is just workmanship? Plastering is expensive, think prob 1-2k for whole flat..
-
Hi this is laminated flooring, brand is tarkett. Let me know again if you need more details
-
Haha yes! So many decisions and never ending things to settle it seems. I just hope to sleep in my new place soon. Hopefully he didn't get too much of an earful from my mil. Not sure what was conversed about, but I don't like too much heated conversations? I think it's better to maintain a good working relationship. Thanks for the advice, will prob get the husband to go down more often. Thank goodness his work is not that busy now coz I'm likely to be working late next week. Just like to ask btw, is ABS trimming included in your carpentry and quote?

Haha seems like towards the end, most of us feel that reno progress is slow. I suppose nothing compared to effect of seeing your place getting hacked and demolished. Yep by the time ur furniture is in, then it will really look like a "home"
