Finally after calling the 3rd time then the lady from the customer service centre from LG gave me the most anticipated answer that I wanted for the dual languages for my LF42R TV. just go to the Quick Menu and go to the audio option and select the nicam stereo dual II option. It works for me now. So glad!

Once you have decided where to mount your TV, you can the the TV ppl to mount it for u. Like I bought a LG LCD TV and it comes with a free wall mount kit and LG ppl come to my house to mount the TV for me...

It all depends on your budget but traditionally Japanese brands are more well-known for making fridges.... My current LG fridge was bought in 2001 and now still working good as I believe it was made in Korea unlike nowadays LG products aer mostly made in Thailand.... Again electrical products also depends on luck as even the most reputable brand may fail due to batch problem...etc... IF your budget permits go for Mitsubishi brand lor.

BTW, any existing LG TV owners can enlighten me if there is an option to enable dual channel. Eg. Watching a Korean show can have Korean and Mandarin voice come out from the TV. My old Toshiba TV has this feature and can be easily set but I searched thru the entire manual for the LG TV but still can't find leh... Feel very peh-chek !

BTW, the IMM outlet has a better pricing than the one I visited at Choa Chu Kang. : )

I purchased my Toshiba System 3 aircon from the Gain City outlet at IMM. Their service is good and the installer did a good job too and they will discuss with you where u want to place the aircon.... I also paid additional to get full coverage for 5 years.

Hi, genielittle. Do keep a lookout for the Saturday's Straits Times as they tend to have a lot of ads from Courts, Gain City and Harvey Norman for LCD TVs. Alternatively, you can go jalan jalan and visit these stores before Saturday.
-
Hi, Fren. No offence hor as the price COurts ppl quote me for the 2 years extended warranty is 20% of the price of the LCD TV so I felt that it is not an attractive pricing. Anyway, it was my personal choice and I am betting on the the price of LCD TVs to drop further and the screen size getting bigger.

Hi, Sorry I am not very familiar with storage water heaters so I need so advice here. My new house is in Jurong West and it has already comes with concealed water piping for the 2 toilets and HDB also installed the mixer taps too. Now my question is what is the recommended capacity if I want to install a electirc storage type water heater for my 2 toilets? I don't see any piping to connect the storage water heater to the 2 toilets water pipe leh. Maybe I "sua-gu" that's why din notice. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand and not too expensive one hor. : ) Thanks ar!

Agreed with yoongf. If u plugged some other electrical item to this power point and the power don't trip then confirmed your oven got problem but if it also trips then the power point got problem liao. Hope this helps.

yewmun@yahoo.com replied to vodkazhong's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Get Panasonic as it is assembled in S'pore so QC should be strict.....Morever Panasonic is a reliable brand. Their fan I have been using more than 10 years liao... -
Hi, Previously, I have my doubts about LG products except my fridge which has been serving me well since 2001. My old Toshiba whcih was used for more than 10 years had "kar-poo! I was looking around for either a Toshiba or Panasonic TV until I came across Courts selling the LF42R (Full HD LCD) TV at $899 at Megatex Exhibition which I felt is a rather a good price. It came delivered on 24 Dec 09 and so far so gd and I liked it! As for the extended warranty, I did not get the extra 2 years warranty from COURTS as I was thinking the standard 3 years warranty by LG should be sufficient. Really in the event if it karpoo after the 3rd year then I think by time the prices of LCD TV would have dropped a lot too!
