why does a vertical storage heater consume less electricity? logically if volume is the same, you should use same elctricity
-
you are lucky! i happen to compare a miele and dyson brand. in the end, i purchased a miele s4212. it works like a charm. smooth pulling of vacuum, compact storage, durable vacuum parts. go to best denki ngee ann city and look for Shao Wei. he can give a good demo. i bought this model from him initially i wanted to buy the bagless dyson dc22. the model i want is much heavier and dont forget bagless is not easy to maintain. when you want to dispose your dirt, you need to open the canister. and when you open, *poof* small dirt will fly. and needs some washing too. compare the 2 manouverability, miele wins hands down! because of the castor wheels

as promised, here are some feedbacks from my 99% completed reno works with the company. on a scale of 1 to 5 (5=Best or Expensive), i put some grades for the various aspects of the company Painting = 3 Electrical = 3.5 Tiling = 4 Washing = 2.5 Plumbing = 4 Carpentry (including workmanship) = 4.5 Pricing = 3.5 Renovation Schedule and Planning = 4 One of the downsides of this company is the quoting style of renovation works. This is the only company that is using word document to list items! I wonder why didnt they use Excel to calculate. So becareful of the pricing and calculation of your quotes. Those prices have to be added up manually. Overall for the price i paid, i think im quite satisfied with my renovation work. Preddy im not trying to scare you. Always remember this. Even the most established companies can cock up. The financial crisis has taught me many things At the end of the day, its all about risks and returns. Cheers -

just my 2 cents nobody in the right is going to pay the full lump sum before the renovation starts. no matter how much you trust the company. just see what happened to the beauty salon incidents -
yoongf then in that case why is it leaking only near the pipe connecting to the fan? should it leak along the pipes also? and can experiment the same setting in the other room. if same problem, then i think its understandable. but if just 1 room got problem, something is wrong with the connection?
-
by the way, you mean got leaking on your metal enclosure? just keep on pressing im sure they will get the problem recitified
-
now i understand your problem. i guess you are 1 of the 1000 aircon works that GC screwed up? so far, i have not read many negative comments with GC. hopefully my aircon is ok. just completed my 1st installation

do you mean your renovation not completed yet or still completing? i remember we last chatted back in beginning of feb. that time you were already half way through right? -
i bought the 451 silver model from Best Denki. i think brand wise, most fridges perform the same thing. whats distinguish them now should be the energy consumption. i think thats most important. if you compare among all the fridges, Hitachi has the highest efficiency in terms of energy per litre. as to how true it the rating is, only God knows

yes bro thats what i meant. i just need switch to control lightings. and the fan i wish to be switched from remote/pull string. in other words, the fan does not have a switch on the wall. so i think thats possible right?
-
glasse i thought the on/off can be controlled from remote/pull string?
-
1 technical question to ask. i got only 1 switch to control the lighting in my room. if i want to install ceiling fan plus lighting in the room, is it possible for the fan to bypass the switch? in other words, switch to control light while fan to be switched by remote/pull

just bought this model $899 +$200 NTUC vouchers at Best Denki yesterday. i looked around most shops selling at $1099 and dont have NTUC vouchers anymore

Citygas Water Heater,anyone Using?pls Advise
DPSK replied to doremon2009's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
are you guys talking about the Rinnai gas heater? i just placed an order this week because i thought its cheaper to get 1 heater and cheaper to maintain with gas. then i heard of the negative comments about the fire being cut off frequently. remember to get an advice from Citygas first on the proper location of the gas heater and dont anyhow place at the service balcony i think the pipings definitely can conceal but not the heater. you need ventilation for the heater. i have made appointment with Citygas to advice me on my location -
i have gotten quotations from many companies. i notice all the pricings are about similar. IMO the decisive factors should be based on 1) the reputation and location of the company. reputation can select from HDB and RADAC list 2) location and where your ID stays is also important. for easy travel and communication between the 2 of you 3) the other factor will be the workmanship. request to visit on site one of his projects. i visited one house and found the chimney hood slanted and the bifold door screeching 4) lastly could be the after sales warranty. my selected gave me 1 year. i requested for 3 years
