thanks! it was really a big surprise cos i was expecting the granite top to take like 2 weeks? so glass backsplash would be measured this couple of days and Edmund says give it a 2 weeks to manufacture....let's see if i get another surprise soon... hahaha

i still prefer good old story books. agree, nothing beats the feeling of holding it in ur hands. i tried reading off the web once and deveoped a pounding headache after which made me swear off ebooks unless it's jus to read to prologue to make me gian enough to either get the book from the library, the Sans bookstore or good ol' popular/borders/kinokuniya. wat's killing me in terms of storage space now is my comics. am running outta space for them

yup, that was my reaction too when i saw the contents.....so deep the memories that 7 yrs on from my wedding dinner, i still remember.... zelly, ya. but i think they were hoping the angpow gets mixed into the pile n no one will know. what they dun know is they are already "wellknown" for their stingy ways and mum detest them so when rec'd the angpow from them, she made sure she pay special attention to it and separate it out from the other angpows.... my tea ceremony even hv one person put $2 inside. this one dunno who but sure is relatives.... pink dun take one day only. better to stick to 2 days. can relax and enjoy the room better. if one day, next day chop chop must prepare check out liao, even if they give late check out. I had 2 days at the Oriental too and we enjoyed the room fully.

erm...darkfear...sorry to burst ur bubble but if u are talking abt electrical storage heater, it works the same way, mingle hot and cold water to get the temp u wan...in fact hotels all uses the electrical storage heater. unless u are talking abt instant heater then it works the way u mentioned.

last nite, went A lightings to let them check on 2 lights which my electrician said was faulty...end up it was cos uncle electrician did not push the bulb in enough.... told Edmund and he was very sorry that we had to run the trip for nothing. but ok lah since i had to get the T5 lights anyway and we learnt what to expect in future when we change the bulb ourselves. hahaha on the way to my new home to put the lights, Edmund sms me " Are you going up tonite? I've a surprise for you." It got us very excited and we started guessing what could the surprise be....when we reached, we were very surprise to see the door open and the lights on...what greeted us when we walked in was...........................

i did not have cement structure for my previous house and the upcoming one. My MIL also did not have cement structure. We chop chicken, everything and it still works fine after 6 yrs for me and 10 over yrs for hers.

aiya, i would if i can....i was the first grandchild on my side to get married so face issue...elders wan me to hv dinner...my hubby is the only son in the family...so another die die need to hv dinner for the relative....in the end...high expenses, very tired, all to entertained the old folks...our folks are fine but it's the relatives tat made it a no choice...either that or hv our folks subject to all the gossips....we being fillial children, got to do our part lor... if given me a choice...i would hv a small quiet dinner jus for close friends and family. it's an occasion to celebrate within ourselves....the others, they are jus there for show....haiz....too bad we hv too many long-tongued relatives so dinner is a must.... not say no good memories lah, we had a great time as well but would prefer something simpler if there was a choice. ok ranting over...
