  1. thanks joseeng not so soon yet, IMO. 31 may seems so far away...... shh...better dun say out so loud...or else newbie ask me something i cannot answer how....**** pai sey leh! as mentioned, the info all thru renotalk. jus tat i more thickskin, more kaypoh, more everything so i gather the info and keep a list of it. i still newbie myself ok? not yet even start my reno and u all put such a tall hat on me, later i topple over liao lah!! Ang gor should be consider the expert liao cos he finish reno. Nguandi too. El Gor second cos he finishing soon. me newbie lah... now already feeling next week **** long. tonite ask hubby when he ok, then i will let edmund know our schedule to arrange to meet-up.
  2. welcome! wow, landed property ah! will be having alot of spaces....envy!!! hope u hv a smooth reno journey
  3. my T-blog starting to be reno google liao... I jus sms Edmund asking when should we be meeting up for further discussion on the final quote. will be next week liao as per Edmund cos he wants to do up the skeleton 3D for us to see. YIPPEEE!!!!! 3D..3D...3D.... will post up if we are given a copy of it.
  4. his view lah...my view is the **** poor materials used in building the flat. We are thinking to jus replacing the 4 pieces (if tiles can be found) then if suay suay crack again then maybe get a rug or something to cover up.
  5. cos the crack is due to structural problem lah... outside the unit also crack and seems like hdb ever did rectification but still crack. boss say prob is due to earthquake in summatra and shake the structure so crack??!! not sure leh, but according to a forumner who provided yuen tat's contact, it is cheaper than if u get from the furniture people. she was quoted $300 - 400 for a round top by P&R but yuen tat quoted her $100 - 200, IIRC..
  6. It's nv too late forgot to take pic but edmund did. it's near a wall...c the pic of living rm... there is a small wall dividing dining table n sofa? the crack starts from the wall parallel to the dining table. no $$ lah, 4D let me win some maybe still can consider...like wat i mentioned to zelly, boss says it might crack again so no point spending so much then crack, very heart pain.
  7. shd be ok ba cos i ever saw someone with the same concept. do liao then think ... can also put charcoal to absorb the smell. boss dun wan to change flooring for living if possible. cos the possibility to crack again is there. glass maker is it?...............................................................on the way.................. .................. ......... ..... .... Sun Sun Glass Pte Ltd 38 Defu Lane 10 #01-35 6283-3126/9832-6166 Yuen Tat Glass 9 Sungei Kadut Crescent Singapore 728687 6368-9371 yuentatglass@hotmail.com
  8. if they are upgrading the toilet (which i think they did from the pic coz it still look rather new as compared to the other parts), they should hv ah. my aunt-in-law's toa payoh one got change during upgrading.
  9. I will get a dehumifier rod from allercare which can remove the moisture. smell.....i will hv a door there to separate toilet n WIW. dun think hv the prob bah... *pray* joseeng stay there, u go teh him to let u go up lor... I dun think platform do-able cos I'm not going to use the same place for dining area.
  10. ya, no other choice for MBR but the WIW is exciting though...hehe our friend went up with us and he also say our WIW is do-able and going to be good too. tiles are ceramic ones. normal lor. what I'm headache abt is there are 4 tiles near their current dining table which cracked. both Edmund and our friend say it's structural prob lor. sianz.... biggest prob is the seller dun keep the tiles. so now it's edmund's turn to headache and tearing of hair to come up with a solution... he say he will think of something wor..... seller is an aged couple with a daughter and yesterday nite only aged couple around. they were very nice and they mentioned again that they will try to move out asap once their place is done so we can start our reno. they also invite us to go pinnacles for visit!! according to them they staying 25 fl, one floor down from the sky garden...peep out can see liao no need $5
  11. wah, ur WC also classic...still squatting one. when HDB upgrade the estate din change the WC meh?
  12. Zelly & Ang gor, the toilets really cannot make it lor, original until nothing to say some more the dirt and grime is like **** lor. I went into the MBR toilet is like cannot tahan. aircon trunking are running below, yes. it happens to my MIL flat too...i think install at abt the same time so trend of trunking is like tat lor. the hole below window confirm doing cabinet. can put the little things we want to store. we most likely going to place our bed there but nearer the window so we are not directly infront of the toilet. the layout is such that you hv no choice but to place it there. There is a hole somemore behind the door which i din take pic. we din notice that and floor plan no indication. so now hubby considering whether to built something there. floor tiles, it is still ok condition, probably u find it old is cos the floor was **** dirty. after washing should be fine. saving cost ah
  13. woah, now then I saw the results of the contractor competition. LOL Gratz on confirming both the contractor and getting your keys....officially
  14. hi all, the original photos as promised.... Common Toilet Kitchen MBR toilet MBR Living Room pretty small angles, sorry but cos seller is already packing so boxes are everywhere and it's hard to find a good place to get the pics. as you can see, the toilets are in need of reno very badly.
  15. the ID is rite. no conceal is allow for HDB.
  16. thanks GG shall pop by to hv a look when hubby is less tight on schedule. u were looking at his table rite? jus nice lah, can see if it fits ur requirement and budget.
  17. thanks bro england and simon, finally did managed to go up at a later timing and edmund was fine too! but we also found out something which we did not noticed previously.... there are 4 tiles in the living rm which cracked and Edmund says it's structural prob and the worse thing is seller did not keep their spare tiles.... edmund says he will think of something. hope there is something to be done as we dun wan to knock the whole flooring just for that 4 pieces. photos shall be loaded tmr.....when i went up today i saw again the bad condition of the house. alot of work is sure going to be laid out for Edmund!
  18. bad news....seller jus sms my hubby, saying need to postpone the site visit...sianz cos Edmund purposely cancel his appt to come tonite. dunno how to answer him liao. hubby is checking if can go today abit later... praying that she says ok
  19. ok few things... A: this is good provided ur mirror dun face directly at door or window. from ur layout, think it does...maybe mirror the other side? E: i hv heard someone in forum planning something similar but dunno if she went ahead to do it...it was applefreak who was thinking of this. but I think probably it's workable. talk to ur ID about it. H: depends whether u need the additional work space. or else what I can suggest is to do a breakfast table on the side opp sink...
  20. NO PVC, **** noisy when water running thru it. That's why basically everyone changes their HDB given PVC pipe when they get their flat unless no budget, no choice.
  21. GG, hv u gone S&C? i wanted to go on Monday but not opened... wanted to check out if they hv round black tempered glass table with stainless steel based... saw it at Crawford Italia (@ joo seng, a couple of units away from OM furniture), but they were retailing it with 4 PU leather chairs for $899 for black tempered glass. want to see if there is similar ones but cheaper... think hommage has but do not hv the time yet to go down to hommage to check the price.... hubby working nite this week again.... sianz so if u going down S&C or hommage, can help me keep an eye on it? thanks GG...
  22. since he admit is his worker's fault, u should at least get him to compensate half if not full.
  23. one of the ID which I saw also say similar thing. but some say stainless steel is more ex, so this part i cannot tell yes, stainless steel needs to be joined together with a joint threading and if the plumber is not skillful, the problem will be leakage. bursting of pipes is very very rare lah. but hor if the plumber is skillful then u wun nd to worry so much. my mum in law lay stainless steel pipes and her's is already 10 yrs and still ok ah (*touch wood*)
