  1. storage heater is more energy wasting so bill wise u c a diff. Aso u nd to on the heater to heat up the water in adv which my hubby is very against. If the capacity is small for the heater and two is bathing the same time, tendency to not hv enough hot water is there. Aso repair charge is more ex it's more personal preference. We like the convenience of instant heater and since not using rainshower, we dun c the need.
  2. the whole purchase is exp due to the basin set and I did think if worth it but boss say since wan to make swee swee then might as well buy something we really like then we will be motivated to use the common toilet as well the industrial tap I think is arino, looks exactly the same heater we both prefer instant and since bo rain shower, we decided to install instant. I was in the heater line previously so I know the pros and cons of storage and instant.
  3. If u see the earlier post in this blog, I posted a waterfall tap which ang gor says remind him of a frog. That's the froggie tap we r referring to. except this time I bought the tower tap ie the taller version.
  4. lol.... It's a basin plus countertop plus tap so this price in the end we did not engage a fsm, hubby has a fren who helped us "survey" our place and we can safely go ahead wif our idea
  5. fsm =feng shui master they audit ur hse feng shui according to ur bazi
  6. ang gor, yes. 1.5k without kitchen sink n tap. Price is roughly as follows: wc 200 each instant heater 178 each glass basin set 500 bidget spray 28 each froggie tower tap 190 L bar n angle valve cannot rmb how much. By the way, ur industrial kitchen tap I saw at GR is $138
  7. welcome mylica to the sengkang community! wat are the things u hv similar wif me? Cracked tiles? hope not! You ate welcome to chk things wif me anytime, if I can help then I help if I dunno then u got to chk wif those old birds like simon or rondy. They are the real expert.
  8. haha yes, bro england. Was really happy choosing my things. Jasmine was very nice. GR Link is at Jln Besar, the low shop house behind the food centre. We almost missed it but I happen to look at the signboard and told hubby must go in. Our friend say if I din mention that it's forum recommendation, we wun be stepping in cos the shop looks pretty old. Tap wise, some are water efficient and some not so. Dun need to worry, jus choose ur preferred design and take out the filter washer then no prob wif the flow liao
  9. wow, if u also sign with Edmund then he will hv 2 sengkang flats to reno abt the same time wor!! ur flat looks pretty much move in condition. for me also some "dream" items have to forgo cos got to prioritize my budget.
  10. my next big damage is done....sanitary ware. went GR Link and was served by Jasmine. Both Benny and her are very very nice friendly and helpful people. Jasmine patiently answered every questions we have and make suggestions as well. Best thing is..... price is definitely a plus point. hubby & friend are pretty impressed by them as well. seems like RT did it again, a good recommendation!! After 2 hours there, we made the following purchase with Jasmine (with the promise to come back for more. ) - Cassanova 1 piece WC x 2 - Tuscani Robusto Bidget spray x 2 with angle valve - Alpha instant heater x 2 - Nobel waterfall tower tap (Angteko refer to as the frog tap) - Viva complete glass bowl set (tempered glass basin + tempered glass countertop with stainless steel bracket + facuet) - L-bar for the glass bowl set Total: $1,500 shall upload the pics soon cos pics in hubby handphone...
  11. el gor, everything coming up nicely. so when will HO be?

  13. eh u reminded me...how's ur curtain?? why nv give update?
  14. me too...a starhub broadband user. was a M1 mobile supporter until a recent incident which makes me swear to switch to starhub once my contract is up!!!
  15. welcome welcome...no prob in hijacking...all welcome to share. my crack not so serious as urs lah. jus 4 tiles and is jus one line crack each. shall take pic the next time i go up. seems like not too serious cos i did bring up to edmund whether should i get hdb to come in and rectify and he say not necessary. my friend also say not serious. we dun hv to worry abt downstairs cos we dun hv neighbours below us. our unit below is the walkway to carpark. what i was worried is whether is this going to be safe for us. we shall wait for edmund's solution on it. btw, u wan to start reno asap once u get key, then u should be confirming ur contractor or ID soon wor, cos u still hv to confirm design, flooring, laminates etc... will be very rush if u put off to the last min. jus ask angteko.
  16. maybe i should ask someone to pee tonite..... slow and steady wins the race lah, reuben didi. anyway, we have set to meet-up on next Fri. so 3D will only be available then u have to keep u neck long long here to c it ok? aiya, u wan edmund's 3D go c risis' or jupiter's one lah!
  17. welcome to RT!! Wow, i see my name in your thank you speech!! no worries lah, we r all here at RT to share info. ur floor layout looks big! so any original pics to share? and wat works are u looking to do?
  18. haha i know lah. i aso am looking forward to seeing the change.. I hv always love to c house transformation so this round of reno got me all excited again.. joseeng, thanks for seeing me so up. like the purpose of RT, we are all here to share!
  19. posting more than u is because we talk crap more than u lah...does not equal to me being more knowledgeable i have been planning early liao, bo bian, kiasu blood.. am starting to shop for furnishing and once finalised wif edmund on the reno things then can start shopping for switches, lightings and the other appliances and furniture. Am trying to get keys earlier as seller will give it to me earlier should they be able to shift earlier (which is very likely) so reno may even start before 31 May. yeah, overlay means whole house overlay which equals to $$$$$.... no budget. should change only that 4 pcs unless no choice. edmund will be cracking his brain for me on this. he understands and also encourage us to keep the flooring if we can save them. no point wasting good money, rite?
  20. cosy contemporary bah... not so much of theme..jus cosy and comfy can liao. that's the most impt to us.
  21. yeah agree, ur l-shaped bookshelf is not really a must to do built in...should you need to convert the rm in future, it will be a hassle. for me, i do my study with an idea in mind that i will need converting it in future. if all built in also u risk cramping up ur spaces, at least after reno, buy ready-made ones and find something nice, solid, cheap and fitting with ur reno. in that way, u can choose something within ur requirement and within ur budget. Bookshelves then to bend if ur books are heavy, over time, at least in my case so i like removable shelves or ready made ones so that when that situation comes up, i can get it replaced easily.
  22. eh, so u finish reno liao? do post ur after reno pics for us to drool....
