ya, like wat zelly says, if like Mr Chew, he will come recce ur place first and understand your needs then he will bring up the materials and go thru the suitable ones with u. i bough ikea ones for my previous place n even curtain shop's ready made ones. but those are always standard size and if window not standard size, looks weird so this round i pain pain buy custom ones.

for me the requirements are must match my wall colour, easy to maintain n wash, quality must be ok n price must be right. my curtain makers material that i choose are italy ones. dunno abt wat to avoid....may difficult to maintain ones bah

She was the one who got be started researching on DX. cos i read her review and like what I see so I called up edmund to quote. at first I din even consider him wor cos not many ppl using him. I had already asked for quote from the more popular ones. So i think I must thank risis very very much! haha. u go his shop without appt sure he tio chua lah! sometimes hor, not he no hiu hiu. he busy then blur then forget. my friend ask him quote he also like that, so i ask friend go ask again then realised he busy until forget. In fact the reason i gave up CLC was cos they too enthu for me to sign with them. a bit tio chua myself. Edmund's pattern is he will quote then he will leave u alone. u wan, u find him. but nvm, CLC shd be doing a good job for u too! c angteko's blog shd be able to tell.

erm.....i will be happier if u can accomodate my expensive taste with not so expensive cost! yeah, expensive choice but we made do without softclosing for drawers to save cost.

yup true, that's why i say u hv to check with the curtain maker mah. but i rmb seeing the cloth 15may choose, cos my curtain maker was intro-ing me at first but different colour. in the end we both choose another pattern together after comparing the cloth to the paint colour and lightings...

hahaha, got ah? seems like he has mostly customers from word of mouth from the other previous customers. for me, i went to him cos of jupiter_home, risis and alamak. haha.... in fact he rejected a few of my friends and colleagues liao cos busy. but he is doing up simple reno for one of my friend in Aug so i shall see his work again then...haha... so far i find his price to me pretty reasonable liao. those he can give discount he try lah. so good enough for me. but i would not mind if he does give me more or free gifts!!

it is the design for the sliding door. will hv glass covering the holes. the grey stuff is the shadow, cos of lightings..hehe sorry ah... Design suggested by Edmund which we think quite nice cos i wan to be able to look into the living room while in kitchen but dun wan full glass. neo, be nice.........

my curtains were quoted $900 to make and install living room full length day n nite curtain, study room full length day & nite (blockout double layer) curtain, 2 bedrooms blockout roller blind. curtains comes in pulley sys saw this cloth with my curtain maker as well. might be cheaper.

i heard my name. ya, froggy. i bought my lights from A lightings. u can check the lights and fans with them. they do carry fans and some are reasonable pricing. One ceiling light is enough for the room, n worries on that. jus make sure for their rooms u hv to get cool white to make sure it's bright. warm white has yellow tint, not good for studies. my son's room i will also hv a table there for him. going to be up against the wall as well. will be getting study lamp for him cos regardless whether down or ceiling lights, a good study lamp is sure to be better. but hubby is saying likely my son is going to use the dining table for work....hahaha...
