Whats The Difference Between Nyatoh Vs Solid Plywood
Zezuzu replied to rubypumps's topic in Carpentry Works
as for what i know, nyatoh is from timber. solid wood processed from timber into plank then made to pieces for doors. plywood = 2 types 1 mulit-layers of wood sheet process and stick together. normally thru cross grain. or mixture of mulit-layer of wood sheet with wooden block. as for solid plywood... might the be 1st only ba. price wise... kangeroo had mention, naytoh will be much more expensive. these days not many people will go for naytoh doors. people refer bright colour for cabinets. only those people who like solid solid timber made stuff will go for timber finished furniture. -
Have u enguage a cleaner service after ur Reno? Coz they may use acidic chemical to clean up the place. If can, beside all those advise give above, can try mopping the flooring.

I would suggest to apply a 3/8 thick plywood to attach/mounted to the wall then stick the mirror on it. For the mirror, just use a 5mm thick will do ba.If there exposed edge(s), then apply thick PVC tape. Hope this help. Thks

By default, carpenter normally will just use a 1/8 inch panel for the back/rear of the cabinet. Of coz one can request for 3/8 inch. The inner depth may turn up slightly smaller.

I only know MDF cannot kana water. If the mdf is coated with laminate , paint...etc, dun allow any still water. If the area manage to absorb, after some time the area may pop up. Not sure abt the health hazard issue.

Normally custom-made wardrobe will bulit to the full height (built-in wardrobe). $198~$220 per ft is just a price guide line. It like wat previous forumer mention, ala carte style. U mention wat u want in mind to ur carpenter, then they come out quotation. Then discuss for price by minus here n there or if the carpenter fine ok with the price. Then all good.

1) laminate comes in size of 4feet x 8feet, hence... for cabinet longer than that.... a joint is needed. 2) 45degree... do u mean the edge of the door is created as a 45degree to act as a handle? well just for your info. normally as wat i know a abt 3mm gap is a so call a must for the ease of opening of the door. hope these help. sry if i mislead wat u intend to stated. (me = poor english)

Hi, the depth of the drawer is roughly abt 20". Hope this help.

hi, Sides/edges of the drawer's panel can be apply laminate, just that laminate is easy to crack and those normal laminate have "dark" lines on the edges. ABS is like made with PVC, plastic type material, hence will not crack.

hi, if u r refering to the wooden door normal locksets, then actually u can simply remove the metal piece within the lockset, which act like a turing axis. hence, to open the door, key is needed either from inside or outside. the handle will still be there, for pulling/pushing. hope this would help. just a reminder: one may kana self lock outside if door is accidentlly closed (wind blow) thks
