KSJL - as the hokkien saying goes, 'good to see, not good to eat'....wat to do? these days, building quality has been compromised so much but yet they r producing the flats like factory work...but well, we r in a way at the mercy of *** so wat can we say? u complain also like tat...dun complain also like tat....haiz...i bet the moment 31 Dec 2010 hits, u can see the immediate clearance of the CES ppl liao....bet they can't take it anymore too!! wah, painting is for 3 coats ar....sounds gd leh :) bluewater - gd point on tat one!! yup, we not going to get rainshower head....so no issues on it
-
hehehe....after 5 yrs lah....no need to be next house mah nope, we going to get the ppl whom we purchased to do the installation of ceiling fan cos figured they shd know better for the 'balancing' of the ceiling fan...worry if we get Edmund's electrician to install, scarli install then the ceiling fan nt balanced, then ho seh liao.... open concept? nah, not tat ambitious to do....for my cooking stove area, i'll have a chimney hood above the hob....prefer tat for the suction....worry tat in future need to cook more then likely will need stronger suction for the oil
-
KSJL - alamak....after i read ur msg, then i realised....calling for the ceiling fan and the cooker hob and chimney hood then realised i wasn't tiking straight....too many things on my mind - work n reno stuff going on at same time....managed to call n asked the other items to be delivered much later....kuku me!! joseeng - i got instant heater in the end....couldn't convince ourselves to get the storage heater then see the huge giant in the backyard....ended up we managed to see the water flow of the unit then tik it's quite ok....so we took instant heater in the end.... chipee - jiayou!!!! hehehhee.....i like magiclean too :) even toilet i also use magiclean....alot of cleaner too....
-

Next wed, ceiling fans n heaters will come in... Next sat, electricals like fridge, washing machine, dryer will come in...

Oh ya, btw latest updates on colour n cabinets n wardrobe, we r getting mainly light colours for them...so it was unnecessary to worry at all cos discussion wif Edmund was v smooth...we nt getting feature wall wif shelving after hearing the amt of space it wld set us bk by...we still want our dining area!! So we getting feature wall wif 5 long panels whereby 3 panels will b glass n 2 of which will b laminated wood where of which 2 panels will b tic-tac door to open bomb shelter door....hb gt v excited after hearing tis n our mbr wardrobe concept frm Edmund...getting our mbr wardrobe in L-shape corner...full storage can't wait to see our minimalist cum contemporary hm!!! till further updates, cya ppl!!!

Joseeng - tat's v near always pass there for lunch Chipee - yeah it's pretty near...few times i tried to go frm office to P&D...only 4 bus stops n max half hr incl walking...dun worry i believe Edmund noes his capacity...tat's y he can take on our projects he can do it!!! so u work at, chipee? KSJL - tuas south? Wah seh **** far...wat u work as there?
-
joseeng, i'm working at the NTUC centre at one marina boulevard....just next to the old clifford centre bridge u?? Working in same area too?
-
oic....mine is middle S1. i love ur floorplan....my eyes sparkle when i saw bay windows in both your bedroom 3 and your master bedroom....so nice leh :) oic...hehehe....jialat tat day i was asking Edmund estimated when he can finish my house also....he erm erm....hahhaha....i guess nw we adding feature wall...1 more carpentry work...hopefully by early may can finish liao... so sick of staying in sembawang and travelling to n fro raffles place for work
-
if it's the same quality as the ones we got the last time, i'm sure it's pretty decent
-
chipee - sounds kewl yar....just wondering if ur floorplan is same as mine....urs also middle unit? yeah, frm the envision tat Edmund gives me, i tik it's going to be like wat u said, some portion of the 'snake' will be concealed which is indeed, good wah seh....we both like same same leh....work more than 12 hrs a day...only managed to sneak out during lunch to take a peek at the opennet ytd.... hehehe...nw u give me even more confidence to put the feature wall yup, we'll do just tat....nw just waiting to see Edmund's drawings for the feature wall
-
KSJL - not to worry, i'm not upset...i've seen the link below....i tik the gal only put the trunking next to the circuit cabinet which had to be run thru to the wall which will also hit the main door as well....however, other cables n trunking wires ain't done for the house at all....which means it's not really the full installation unlike chipee's and mine....it seems tat she intends to wait n see wat opennet do abt the running of the trunking all the way frm the main door to the nearest scv point.... i suppose for my situation, as at nw, since reno just barely started, doing the full trunking will be much easier cos can cover up easier rather than do the full reno then try to put the opennet trunking in...anyhow, i'm still waiting to see hw Edmund can do abt it.... anyhw i tik cos of the design of the unit, really no choice but to run it there if u want to install the opennet n trunking together....anyhw, i do believe Edmund did speak to the opennet ppl to tell them to put the trunking there so tat he can cover it up much better....he noes i leave it in his good hands....hehhehee....
-
if u go thru ur wall, would u have to drill? if u have to drill thru, then hw to cover up? if cover up with paint, would it look patchy?
-
zerochristy, i guess tat's the way cos of the location of my unit's nearest scv point...assuming if the scv point is much nearer to the main door, i suppose the snake can be really much reduced....cos of the way the floorplan or rather, the unit is done, tat's the only way....not sure abt urs though since ur reno alrd done liao

KSJL - hw u noe opennet allowed to place on the electrical conduit near the main door? it's said in their website http://www.opennet.com.sg/faq/for-resident...mises/#faq00022 whereby "OpenNet will provide surface trunking to a termination point within 15 metres from the main entrance of the premise. This first 15 metres in-house fibre wiring will be provided at OpenNet’s cost. The fibre will be terminated into a small termination box and this is suggested to be next to the current SCV points or utility closet within the unit. Home owners are encouraged to place the 1st TP close to power sources." Presumably, if u see from the pic of the HDB flat from the website above, it shows that the opennet installation would run from the main door all the way to your 1st or nearest SCV point....in tat case, really dun see hw possible it can be to place on the electrical conduit near the main door... not too sure which shops sell in s'pore....saw before in jb city square
-
yeah chipee, as mentioned by bluewater, i also do tik tat might be a tad better to ask Edmund to cover the ugly tracks....some parts really quite ugly.... i tik for my end, the feature wall will cover the tracks along the bomb shelter....as for the side from the main door to feature wall, Edmund did say tat he will cover up too n try to make it as unsightly as possible (dun ask me hw he's going to do tat....when it's done, i'll take pics)....as for the rest of the tracks, need to see how KSJL - there r some shops where i've seen before...it's painting cum clock...u might want to try those
-
dun worry, S&C is so far quite reliable....few months back, we ordered furniture from them too....quite on time and they fixed up the wardrobe n stuff for us properly....v sturdy i must say.... i guess, they only hb n wife so if both busy with customers, won't be able to pick up the phone....but doubt it'll be a no-show or no-call thingy lah....we just went to see their stuff again 2 wks back....no issue
-
chipee- yup pretty much similar....dun worry will definitely use soon Haha 14m wor...just abit lesser than 15m....seriously in no time everyone's hm will b filled wif the snakes Yeah i tik frm ytd's short discussion wif Edmund, it shd b much better than expected he's pretty responsive to lighter colours too yippee!!!
-
Mouth open??? Omgawds
-
faintz....then those who kena some form of sun, how? other than curtains?? so silly
-
incidentally, just when we have considered to do feature wall cum shelves for our bomb shelter, the opennet trunking was trunked in tat manner....which kind of 'confirms' our tots to do the feature wall..... if u check opennet's website, the reason y they r doing it tis way is cos they need to trunk from the main door all the way to the nearest scv point...in doing so, if possible, they will try to minimise the trunking (which i tik they didn't....they just do it like those aircon ppl...do it to the simplest of the ways for themselves) heng Edmund was there....if u notice some of the above pics, there are some black dotted lines along the wall?? the opennet installer wanted to put there....Edmund stopped them just in time before they drill...heng man!!! else, even more kns no lah....not bringing us to see a house with bomb shelter n shelves....we alrd have pic n idea in mind liao....just mentioning tat tat's wat we r looking for...
-
managed to speak to Edmund and passed him some deposit just now.... tis sat we r going to choose our paint colours as well as the kitchen cabinet colours and all other wood colours....we r considering to do feature wall cum shelves for our bomb shelter....Edmund's going to let us take a look at it on sat too :) **** excited nw!!!!
