oic, then the bench makes sense. me thinks its nice also... hmm quite rare to do from top down...maybe this is better than the conventional way of doing bottom up...do update us ok? quite interested to see how it turns out!

wow...think now everything must black and white. Telephone conversation must be recorded even! your patience with him is admirable, if its me i would not even call him. everything must be in black and white now. email the relevant persons asking for the name of installer, cc the authorities and ID and the rest of renotalk.

hi, my turn to kpo... washer need to connect a water outlet. Its ok if you have a hole at the new washer location. If not have to connect all the way into the toilet, which is quite unsightly, i.e. have to pass through the door/wall. For kitchen, i feel that rectangle tiles will make the place look longer, hence bigger. Big square tiles more suitable for really big areas..

hmm the sitting bench below the shoe cabinet, got a space in between two seats, i think will be nicer if make it flush. also, the seats will sort of block access to shoes unless the shoe cabinet is made shallow. Would be better if you know the exact measurements of the stuff... eh how come do tiles after everything?

yeap, valuation alone gone up by 40k thereabouts since you bought it?

MBR is like greyish tone kinda colour.. ohh i intend to steal as many spare laminates as possible! i used the samples given to me previously as coasters. haha... maybe if i get enough laminates can try to diy a tissue box holder. imagine tissue box holder and floor matching colour...

gimz63251073 replied to MohGuan's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
what colour is the flooring? nice transformation! now that the wc and basin is done up so nicely...have to check frequently that workers dun throw rubbish/sand inside...later will choke. -
brasso also works the same i guess...i would be trying the 3M cleaner on my door knob...would try to post some pics if possible. bought the 3M cos it says "will resist finger prints" or something along that line in the description.

a typical singaporean will put a plastic bag into the bin for practical reasons...so no need to get this...do till so nice end up put a plastic bag there also not nice...(imagine stainless steel bin with red trimmings) my 2cents.

Ossify, not levelling it, the whole ex-storeroom is level, so just the connecting portion between storeroom and MBR is not level. thickness of the area which is not level is the thickness of the wall.. the bulk of the area will be used for putting shelvings, so unlikely will walk. Have to do some work to make shelving level though...hmmm blueocean, you refering to the 3M or the small bottle? 3M is spray and rub on s/s. small bottle is powder, gotta mix with water and rub. mainly to remove dirt and stubborn stains. had not tried it on rust yet. oh ya, the powder is good, can remove yellowish stains on plastic (like our pvc pipes)

when the laminate is done, will still look like ur floor..cos i also using white platinum teak from robina in living room. uh i think definitely not level for my MBR, where i tore down the storeroom. The storeroom's levelling is different from the MBR.

Pinktini, they have that? arghh i missed it... that is really useful...how much they selling? Hope ikea will have it as a sale item later...heee Curryqueen, yeah, im very excited as well. but flooring will take 2 days before it is dried up. So baby will go down to take photo and stare at workers on wed...haha...we are taking a huge gamble on spray painting instead of re-tiling...hope its durable enough. As for kitchen lights, our house is actually overly bright. The kitchen light is very bright when i switch both tubes on, so very little shadow actually. Also, the shadow will disappear if i switch on the light at the bird cage (its supposed to be at a lower height, we shifted it up to prevent it from getting hit by carpenters)

Cement Screed Floor- Slippery?
gimz63251073 replied to curryqueen's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
cement screed for toilet? waterproofing have to be very solid... -
i would say super duper tight. To be realistic: - scrape the blum hinges (anyone on a budget must first forget about blum. Erase the nice blum from your memory ) - scrape LED - forgo eubiq - forgo built in stuff like oven, dishwasher - forgo branded toilet bowl and sink - replace vanity area with ready made mirror cabinets - DIY curtains instead - wash grout yourself my questions: - why need to plaster wall to hang picture? plaster till so nice already, u go and it cover up with picture? - u only need 4 ceiling lights in your house? oh yes, do get a contractor instead. Coordinate yourself if you have the time.

want to save design fees....easy, just go thru the tblogs. Many renotalk people did their house very nicely...can use their ideas. many design firms giving away toilet accessories, aircon, etc...check out the classifieds. Some got lucky draw as well. the only question should be whether after adding in freebies, would the package be worth it? Want to save money, have to spend time looking and researching.

hmm i remembered the sales guy telling me inverter is the one which turns on and off, they have 2 motors. Once a certain temp is reached, one motor stops and the other will work to maintain the temp. so inverter should be the turning on/off kind right? if you use door as table, must make sure its all solid wood...many doors are hollow in the centre cannot take the weight... milo tin can would be interesting...i thought of using a food cover as a lighting shade for my dining area before. But in the end, i figured that i liked a bird cage more...

no probz, you are most welcome.

hmm...ok, for my KDK babyfan, the instruction manual says CANNOT install regulator. If not will spoil the fan. u might want to check the manual before buying? Might not be applicable though..
