  1. glad u had a good experience. i shall ask them for a quote as well. Thanks!
  2. ohh, Maximum credit used to operate at bukit batok previously...i used to get stuff from there. hows their pricing for TVs? Or Mega Store better?
  3. yeap, i thought it should be even whiter though... leftover wood to keep some for spare as coldflamez said. plan to use some to do a tissue box holder. the planks are quite thick and sturdy, can use as shelves with the proper support. basically, wanted to play with the wood, maybe stick the wood together (lengthen it) to lean on the wall as decorative item.. thanks coldflamez, thats the precisely why we chose robina. looks first..haha... matashi, we did laminate to save costs la, you re-tile what, can choose wood-look-alike tiles! you get the look and you get the durability! maybe just not the price!
  4. Lilith, me thinks that the possibility of re-locating air con trunking is low. But if walls are not build, maybe they just build it around the trunking? jaskel's pricing for electrician good? your ID cool about it...?
  5. I like the way the entrance to main door was done. View from main door: Forgot to cover hob, now the Cuizino hob is really "Cui" baby told them we wanted ALL the wastage wood, here it goes.
  6. Goodbye old floor, here comes Robina!! Platinum White Teak for Living and Common room. Some greysish colour for MBR: Close up look. Wonder what that patch is..?
  7. haha no fate la...spray paint ah, the one im using will be at the expo exhibition, your friend can swing by for a look. alternatively, can always look for ronald or jaskel for quote.
  8. hmm no choice, have to work within the constraints, sometimes cannot have everything we want. my original idea was to put every thing on one side, fridge, washer, cooker, sink. It was possible as the old flats had a long kitchen. That would have really given a neat look. But had to forgo the idea as we needed to extend the living room. oh well, im happy with what we have now... just saw that you already got your fridge.. option 4 might be better, can keep your mind and options open. once you get your keys and do a on-site measurement, might even have new ideas! as for the lightings, you can aways do a shelving rack and install a flourescent tube below. otherwise, hoods have lights. lighting is a very small problem.
  9. or if you want some place more central, i.e. A Lighting Enterprise sells at $165. Can see some lights on the way as well.
  10. 15A for air-con right? my electrician said must use 4mm one...
  11. if im not wrong, the spraying of kitchen floor is $700 or $750. think should be cheaper than hack and re-lay? the kitchen floor tiles are fine, cute blue looking, but we hacked away concrete stove and its impossible to find similar tiles. So decided to spray instead. Ronald also got do spraying floor mah...
  12. curryqueen, the dimensions are not clear, can't see the length of the kitche, etc. better to draw to scale the dimensions. Also to consider the width of cabinet doors, whether got enough place to swing or not. if you put the fridge to the side of the wall, you cannot get those 2 door swing fridge le. As space is precious in 3rooms, a big one door swing fridge means you have to allocate more space for swinging. since the area at the store cannot be seen from the front, why not put your washer/dryer there, save some $ on concealing it. Then use the space to put full height cabinets to house your oven and steamer. If retractable top is expensive, can consider using a island with wheels from ikea like this. Can chuck it to the wall between MBR toilet and kitchen when not in use. http://www.ikea.com.sg/en/catalog/detail.a...itchen%2Cisland Can be used for serving food as well, duo purpose.
  13. nice! its featured in home and decor right?
  14. i have no idea what you are trying to say. a wall bed saves space, no one person can use the desk and bed at the same time. It makes sense to me, worth considering if owner have the budget as it will surely cost more.
  15. if the lack of counterspace is a concern, i have seen people doing a retractable solid surface. if cooking is kept to the blocked side, would lighting be a problem? oven and steamer is built in? maybe can choose the one which you use more often and put it at countertop level. space is valuable in 3rooms.. oh ya, nowadays no need to conceal rubbish chute, nowadays chute "chio chio one"
  16. wow, good deal! surely worth the trip.
  17. Curryqueen, Thanks, we loved the floors as well! perhaps should have chosen plain colour with no flakes for wall. Colour now looks a bit dirty.. lilith, we going to be kiasi, keep the paper there till Robina is done with the flooring, later they dump their stuff there... this weekend the sticker should be removed. No further works other than door and window grilles. So its clean-up time! yeah, we saw the fridge in white first, had told salesman we wanted it. He only told us got silver colour when he was typing in the invoice...haha, im happy with white or silver. We ended up parking at Sim siang choon, walk over to expo, queue up for very long also cannot get into carpark! hope your reno is smooth smooth as well!
  18. me thinks the above are expensive. how come u spending $3k on a store door? other stuff i never got a quote before so cannot comment.
  19. the common bedroom which has 2 beds looks a bit cramped. perhaps u can try out wall beds to save space?
  20. yeap, we should have. Lesson learnt. Next time will be smarter.
  21. Now for no-so-serious pictures: Look at this stick: This stick must keep properly, it can be used to pick out items if the toilet pipes are choked! Ah Seng had used this to pick up a holder for drainage. Silicon 厚厚, silicon 多多: i miss my ventiliation fan... they have taken it to hospital... Last shot of the ugly flooring. It will be filled up with white laminated flooring by Wed.
  22. First plumber install the basin in such a way that the metal drainage pipe cannot fit straight into the hole: After several rounds of discussion, we finally decided to move the basin to the right, so that the pipe can be installed. Hey we paid like $30 for this hor...its one of those things that we splurged on. Next up: The kerb to keep our dry area dry. The kerb on the left side is for the shower screen, a hole was left to drain out water, but it could mean our dry area would be wet. So we made a kerb to keep water out, ugly as it is, it serves the function. Hope its not too obvious since its at the bottom? A nicer looking, but not branded shower head. No rain shower, to save costs. Luckily though, as the water pressure is not very big. Had we gotten a rain shower, it could only drizzle.
  23. changed from clear silicon to white cement. 此白非比白? i wished that it could be more 白! oh well...as long the basin don't drop and choke i'm fine with it. Given that basins don't get spoilt, i am probably going to get used to the level of 白. Another view: we consoled ourselves that its just the common toilet, one whereby we got all the cheapest stuff, cheap basin, cheap tap, cheap showerhead. Main purpose of the toilet is to do our business there. So ok, lets move on. is a triangular basin meant to be installed slanted? i still cannot understand. Given that a rectangular (nicer looking) basin of the same dimension is twice the cost, i guess we have to live with it.
