Sorry I hope to be very neutral about this. I am not related to anyone here but to relate back to my experience with my ID and through selection from a few, I finally got down to one who I really can trust and believed that he can deliver. I met my ID for 7 time since March to discuss and things really got down to the end. I told him to be direct with me. Don't tell me final price still got throw-in, free gift or discount. If discount just state to allow me to work my budget. He got my idea and never play punk with me. Seriously I believed if the person is really sincere, he also doesn't want to waste anyone's time. So going through the quotation, so far the only thing that my ID cannot confirm with me is the electrical stuff. Usually they have a standard set of points/installation/etc within a sum however if you ask around more often, pple tend to exceed that range. I believe you have to be frank with him and vice versa in e end, its a abt the feel and trust. If you don't like it, you won't feel comfortable. Have fun sourcing, it's your home afterall. And lastly, no impulsive purchase. Always take a day/two to sit down and discuss but be warned, it can get very tedious. Cheers.

How about asking them to bring you to go and see their previous proj? I believed many of us here wan to see the real thing rather than the picture. Mainly u shld see the workmanship on their carpentary and design to allow you to evaluate their design and stuff before u can finally decide. Seriously picture are just picture afterall. I do not believe any ID will turn you down on this request unless you are very (X) busy.

Which Laminate Flooring Brand Should I Use?
chalk replied to Folks's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Sth to share: Anyone discussing with their laminate flooring company can ask for a 5% wastages will be enough to be covered. Usually they will quote 10% wastages which is more than enough. Usually we will be paying for nothing for the additional 5% wastages which were never used before. -
My experience at Park Mall Cellini was greatly attended by Jenny. I would say that the promo was a good one. I seriously like the white/black combi sofa however the living room structure of mine don't suits the sofa. Overall her service was great even though I manage to squeeze some more dining chairs and an addition "small" table top and told her I will consider over it, she still didn't show me any dissapointment. Her service is commendable as I have been to 3 Cellini, Tradehub21 and Furniture Mall, both latters were quite dissapointing. Disclaimers: My comments are purely based on my observation which the salesperson deserves praises based on her professionalism for her services. No advertising is invovled here.

Which Laminate Flooring Brand Should I Use?
chalk replied to Folks's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
AC5 is more suitable for industrial use. Which is those you often see in Courts and Ikea...etc. For home uses, AC4 is the top notch material to use. AC3 will be okay. Parador and Kronotex is both from Germany and Prego is from Sweden. For the noobies about laminates, I will advise you people to head down to Expo this week to take a look. You can go one by one to seek for quotation. I spent 12Hours in the hall just to decide on my 3 bedrooms laminates and learnt alot. Oh just to share abit more, all 3 brands which I came across had aluminium-oxide covered on top of the laminate. This is what they claimed to reduced eroding and etc. Other than that, its the different type of material used underneath the laminate and the material to stick in between the laminates and the exisiting tiling. There is some other selling points from each brand so it depend how convinced u are. Other common quality that these laminate is that they are water proof and and to withstand small fire (demostration provided). Currently 8mm is what is the standard size, any shorter than 8mm is not recommended. As for Supreme and others, I can't comment as I never went to. Disclaimer: Just sharing what I've learnt from my experience in Expo yesterday. Not promoting any brands here. If any comments I had made is felt biased, pls feel free to tell me. -
can pm me her contact too? thanks

went to the fair in expo today and signed up with Kronotex. Very impressed with their salesperson, Kent. Not sharing his contact here but this is what I got - Exquisit - 3 bedroom, 8mm engineered laminates - lifetime warranty - trimming, skirting and etc - [forgot the name which they will apply in between the laminates and the overlaying tiles for FREE] Engineered Laminates What the fair is different if you go down to the showroom/direct sales is perhaps some freebies (if not a $200 rebate). What I like is also no hard sales. Able to walk around and check out the prices. Why I go for such high end laminates: 1. Sincere explaination from Kent included materials, proof of many manufacturing details 2. Clear and precises breakdown in prices 3. I am convinced by the salesperson. (I went to Prego and Parador formerly)
