Oh...I thought I better update the space plan as I realized the last floor plan is not updated. Major changes are.. 1. No more wardrobe room for the kids. We have decided on a customized bunk bed cun wardrobe. How does it look like, DUNNO..... 2. By doing that, we now have the Family Area back!!1...no walls to hack (thus no cracked marble possibility), no new doors.... 3. Also, now can put the Xbox/Wii in that area and the kids can now run and jump..... 4. No more 2 Xbox in the kids room, which I always feel uncomfortable with. So one will go into the family area, and the other in the MBR, wife TV. 5. Decided to do away with ceiling fas. Realized in our unit, can only get the wind directly underneath it. Kids and Mum very happy with the decision. Then I said replace with Wall Fans, cut short their celebration.... 6. Finally work out a design with my ID on a shower cum drying area...... Now headache.......deadline soon....need to make decision on furniture.......... Anyone bought those made to order fabric furniture from Courts?

went down to look see...and saw the place in hacked condition...........mmm....a lump in my throat as it reminded me of my burnt childhood house in Pontian.............. then I suddenly realized that this is the first time I have ever look at my homes in a hacked condition!!!!....funny... Anyway, electrical wiring are in progress, speaker wiring to be done tomorrow, air-con is hacked away liao, wardrobe and bedroom/toilet floor are gone, kitchen is gone.............. I think I should do what I did for the last two reno, visit the place only when it is completed...........

Does the front-load washing machine takes longer time to wash then the top load? We used to have the Thomson drum type (top load but turn vertically) and it take ages to wash. So now MY Finance Minister refuses to consider front load. I think it is front load used less water for the same wash-load..yes?..no?...

3.1 with rear floor standing speakers?...no front?... front standing or rear standing?.............this is for your 2nd set?... I think u are in xtremeplace.com, there are a couple of pre-own and new offers there. For pre-own speakers in a shop...I normally go to AV1 in Kaki Bukit, they have quite a good range there. They probably would be able to put up something for the budget. but I fear u would have to compromise on the sub. Sorry mate, this time round I did not check-out on floor standing speakers, thus no feel for current pricing...

lol...I used to have exactly the same thought. But then some1 reminded me that for the digital lock, it can be unlock by just pushing a button on the inside. For most metal gate, it is easier for a person to put his/her hand through the gate and press to open the gate. Currently is thinking whether to install aluminium gates instead, I am lucky that the condo do not need standard design gates..

oops...I just realized u posted that u are going down on Sunday, should have let u know some shops there do not open on Sunday. Anyway, a bit belated,but I bought my speakers at Artcoustics. (if u read my PM, the directions are there.....) For home theatre, Denon, Yamaha and Onkyo are popular. IMHO, the Denon 1910 is a good start. Pricing is all around there. But pls remember, if u buy these AV receivers, make sure ur TV console design cater for the additional depth and height.... Its good u decide on the speakers first. If u can audition the speakers with the AV receiver, that will be good also at least u got to hear what it is like. E.g. if u want to buy Morel and u like what u hear from the morel/yamaha combination, then u can go for it. Alternatively, if the sales is nice, u can request him to connect to a Denon and then u hear again.........

Spend some time on a non-Sun and listen to Anthony Gallo Micro (for ur budget) and see whether u like what u hear. 3. Amongst the 3 mention, IMHO an my ears, KEF KHT3005SE is the best value for money.

Just tell them ur budget and they will work something out........ alternatively while u are at Adelphi....try the following KEC KHT3005SE : Showroom on 1st Floor (u would not miss it) Anthony Gallo : Artcoustics also on 1st floor (this one u may miss it if u drive, just watch out for the alley in the middle) There is another shop AV1 (which I used the last time round) but I always prefer to go to the Kaki Bukit HQ rather than the shop in Adelphi. Personally I find the sales person is there is friendlier and not pushy. Wish u luck...
