Its about 139 sqm. There is no planter, no balcony area so got more space... Yes, I like it too as it has a bomb shelter and utility which I can use it for store room and maid room which has a window too.... Oops...yes..mouldy WIW......its going to be a L-shape wardrobe with doors.....!!,, Lol..lets see how this design transform into after talks with the IDs...

Hi, about 1496 sqft.....thanks
-
Gee...thanks.... It is a condo unit. Lol....it has a rather long passage-way and I think the way I re-arrange the WIW makes it longer...But I prefer to take the shortest possible path from my bed to the WIW to the toilet.....hahahahah
-
Lol...they decided to do it on their own, I did not realize it until they gave me 8 copies of the magazine....lol... it comes in useful as a talking point when I was selling the place....

Anybody Engage Id Note
wcseow replied to Djorkaeff's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
mmm...good....lol cause I was not too sure on engaging ID Note as their office is in Woodlands and I stay in the East side.... -
This is my views, hope it help 1. Yes, I would meet up with all those that I have asked for quotes. However, the way I had approach reno was that I insist to meet them before a quote is being obtained, thus I said I met all that provide quotes. Although, not all IDs did provide quotes after we meet and I would not chase them for it as well... 2. On-site. Yes. So far, the most I have narrowed down is 2 and both I have asked them to come down and do on-site. Some IDs I met actually prefer to provide quotes only after they did an onsite. So I let them.... 3. Personally when we are at that stage, we already had decided on the ID. More often than not, when a final call is to be made, it is normally done with the design u like and pricing from others does not matter anymore. So I would choose the ID, and then attempt to bring down the price, concentrating my effort on one ID.... IMHO only

Lol...thanks.... Quite rue. I am debating whether to have feature wall/TV console, or just go out and shop for TV console. The one in my previous place, though neat, simple and nice but it is a real hassle whenever I need to add in connections to my receiver....

Summit Design respond pretty fast.....submit in the afternoon , got a call from Nicholas early evening.... Inside Living...alas,....still no news....

The 3D dwgs is impressive.. The dining room, I like the black area on the walls, is that tiles or laminates?
-
lol..most important is that u got a unit that u like...... congratulations looking at the list of IDs u have, brought me memories when i go round few years back. I went to Chew(who also do not quote at all, disinterest lot), and City (who apply pressure tactics...).... Good luck and enjoy...

and a copy of what I had in mind, though I am 100% sure it will make a complete overhaul after ID process... and yes..suddenly both my daughters decided to share a room despite living in separate rooms all their life!!!!!!!!!!!....

A copy of floor plan that i could get my hands on Yes, that funny room beside the living room is what it is shown in the plan. I gather there are option during the launch to either have this as a 4th bedroom(with proper 4 walls and a door) and as a family area/den. The unit I purchase choose the latter, I guess.... Pls ignore the 2 single beds in outer space.......I did some edit and forgot to remove it and laziness step in...

Continuing...my preferred design should be 1. simple, clean and spacious. With lots of storage areas (meet my wife request) 2. Lol..I am particular about my toilet(MBR), spacious and neat.... 3. Easy to maintain and clean...thus no or minimal grooves, raised platform so that we can clean the floor.... 4. Ceiling fans is a must........I hate standing fans, takes up space....lol 5. Kitchen, large top as we do our cooking mostly from individual induction cookers....use electricity less gas...= less fried= less oily...lol 6. Kitchen, to accommodate one fridge and one freezer (my mum loved to stock up food....)...lol 7. Lasting.........and.....hopefully it get feature in the ID website/magazine as my last reno...lol

I used this forum a couple of years ago and started a T-blog as well. But I guess all my posts all gone as it is in 2005/2006. Anyway, have sold both my place and have recently purchase a unit in Changi Rise, a relief after so many months of finding a place that the family like and fit my budget.... And now comes the most exciting and could be troublesome part, ID and reno.........and I have my fair share of anger, disappointment and relief from the various reno I have done. Contractor gone missing with only 10% work done, legal action, bad workmanship, impractical etc. In fact, I reno my house 3 times before it finally got one that is done right and the ID i gotten is FROM THIS FORUM.... So with this, frankly, I am split between just giving it to the current ID since I have a good experience and her design/work stood the tests of time when I sold my place with the various comments, and going for new IDs with new ideas. Finally, today, I decided lets try a few others also. So thus far, 1. I have made a appointment with my previous ID (Intradesign) 2. Have sent an sms to a highly rated ID from the forum here (Inside Living) 3. Send an online enquiry to Summit Design, that have quite good reviews so far in this forum. It is from this forum that I found a good ID in Intradesign and so I will put my trust in the same forum for ID leads as well.... Wish me Luck!!!...

try this..maybe it will help make sure u are present during the viewing...and offer ur card/contact to the viewer/viewer's agent and let them know they could contact u too if they are ready to make a offer. At the same time, make sure ur agent fully understand this before engaging him/her. Personally i did face similar situation when I was buying and in one particular situation I learn the deal was closed at 20K lower than what I had offered...

INTRADESIGN
wcseow replied to junye's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
I engaged Intra-design about 3 years ago to reno my 2 places (landed and condo), and have posted how good they were . Well, now 3 years later, I am moving to a new place and my wife is insisting on using the same ID.....The ppl that viewed our place (as we are selling) all gave good comments on the design. That speaks well of the longevity of the design and the work. Pros Great post-sales service, even 3 years after!!...their works is good and they are detailed as well. Cons I feel their contractor to do the electrical work is not good. Its a sore thumb when everything else is done so well. There were a few short cuts taken and we found that out after a year or so. In fact, most of the defects are electrical. And yes, intradesign continue to provide service these past 3 years without issues. I have done a few reno on previous abodes and all of them are disasters until we selected Intradesign. -
