  1. COV: 10K Valuation Date Report: 20 May 09 Venue: Pasir Ris, mid floor Area size: 113sqm Condition: Pleasant but not well maintained. Very 90s, Rockstone with ceramic tile. A/C in 3 bedrooms. When we viewed the place, the agent wasn't around in the house to show us the place and our agent only had the chance to speak to seller's agent on the phone. Was initially quoted 25K, and was quite turned off because we were looking at most 5K. So we looked around at 20+ more houses and still prefer the place, because of the space. In the whole block, only 8 units bear this size, the rest of the 4 rooms in the block measure up to 104sqm. Eventually, the seller changed his koo-koo agent. Through my agent's network, they worked hand-in-hand and finally got the place for 10K!
  2. I was advised by my aircon service guy to take up Panasonic because unlike other brands they have 2 compressors. Compressors are like the heart of the aircon, if it dies on you, you have to replace the whole outdoor unit. Therefore, with Panasonic, you have two hearts. If one breaks down, there's another back up hence longer lifespan. But of course, I can be wrong. Maybe the service guy feels that it's easier to clean Panasonic ones. So far, fm my experience, National @ mom's place is lousy (always need servicing, change this and that) Sharp @ work place is super duper noisy but live up to the warranty date and Mitsubishi electric Starmex @ current rented place is cool & noisy at times (maybe too soon to tell, a few mths shy from 3 years)
  3. Sure thing! There's a lot to learn from you!
  4. I suppose I'm not the sort to close the doors when I'm at home u see... That's why I asked abt installing it on the gate. Thanks again for yr message!
  5. In my opinion, I think you'll save a lot without the tiles but for maintenance wise, I would consider backsplash. So instead of coming out with extra cash for tiles that's also going to be put up behind the cabinet or backsplash, might consider investing in good, attractive backsplash! I mean tiles outside of the common toilet is pretty redundant right? How often do we wash the walls of yr kitchen?
  6. Sorry to be a party pooper here but my mom has a dryer but now it's a white elephant. What we've experienced from the dryer is that it fleeces everything hence making it thinner and spoils my clothes especially my work clothes. It stretches the shirt and loosen them if you use hot air to dry them. Alternatively if I use the cold air, it takes prolly 2 times longer and the clothes 2 times wrinkled. Be prepared to standby extra buttons and studs because there will be missing ones. So instead of separating which clothes is best for the line and which are for the dryer, we hang them all to dry. Ours is a samsung brand but I'm not sure how will other brand differs.
