L Box & False Ceiling (opinions Please)
lionfreak replied to Syukur's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
well... first and foremost.... wat are the things that you are planning to have in your living room and dining room? if there are nothing really significant lie a tv ft wall, we just have to play wif having suffficient lights... -
dean my man.. saying that you wanna finish everything by the end of this month is a little too late dun you think? as you can see... the number of days left before the end of the month is like slightly more than a week onli... even if you wanna do, the carpenters cannot do it... how long is your existing cabinet anyway?
-
well, the size of the cabinet will be dependent on the no of people you have staying in your home... plus whter they are shoe fanatics or not.. these info will be able to give a more accurate design for your place.. not to mention, the current style of your home...

well... this is once again a matter of whether you would wan an id firm to get it done for you... in a way, if you got an id to work for u... definitely it will cost a little more, but of course, you will have lesser hassle since generally he orf she will be the one who will coordinate the renovastions for you.. this way, you have more time on your hands to deal wif other stuff, perhaps getting the ideal furniture you wanted for your place?

hey there guys, i currently have a place in woodlands, and i was wondering if i could fit in a wardrobe and a tv area at the same time... i went to this ID recently, he said that it is possible to do something like a sliding panel on the wardrobe to mount the tv... this idea is new to me, but im not really sure if this will be feasible or not... any suggestions?

3rm Renovation

do you have your floor plan? can send me? maybe i can help.. -
i seriously think your bro in law is right bout this.. even if your id has done it for years.. the likelihood is that your reno cost will increase.. this shld be a qn of whether or not it is necessary for your living hall and kitchen to be levelled... just to be on the safe side... i think you shld go review on the hdb rules and regulations to see if it really is applicable to do so..

Modern Classic Design
lionfreak replied to littleones's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
of course if you have the time to have your place done DIY, it will be best to do so.. but the concern will be whether the thing you have done DIY will be durable enough.. letting an ID do the job for you will ensure that the design is up to your requirements, plus freeing you of the shackles of doing everything yourself.. bottom line: if you are able to do it within the constraints of your own free time, by all means, go ahead.. -
Folks, Pls Come In To Give Me You Advice On My Kitchen Cabinet
lionfreak replied to lee_sg_123's topic in Carpentry Works
you mean it's possible to leave the granite top and do up the rest of the cabinet doors? -
maybe on the cheaper side, you might wanna put something like those string curtains.. that way, you might still be able to sustain the contemporary side of your living room... im not sure if putting a painting there will actually help to divivde the 2 rooms, so if you some kinda painting at home, maybe you can experiment wif it, and see how it goes? do update me on the results though!! i'd like to know..

how about doing something like a see thru divider? i dunno if that will make your apartment look less complicating, since alot of mirrors do make the whole place a bit confusing..
