As a seller of our 4A, we are also very happy. . . We were like ... with tongue in cheek, trying to see how the market was . . . Agent told prospective buyers that we wanted $50K COV. On the first night, we got our buyer . . $40K cov.

I'll miss this place for the thick coffee and reasonable-priced but yummy rojak just downstairs

My hubby said all 707s come with remotes. We bought three 707s. He could have given us a better price. But he charged us more for the KDK.

Thanks! The envt is nice. But the flat definitely needed an overhaul. It was rented out for close to 8 years. Hence, the condition is quite bad. The fanco - we bought a total of 3 units, each costing $270.

yup! sorry about that. was replying to other thread . . . i am at hougang too. moving from ave 6 to street 21. where is your new place? that view . . . is that facing SK?

Thanks cjRedDevil spoke to our ID. need to reapply permit to hack the wall. So we decided to leave it as it would only push back the date of HO. However, we will remove the original alu casement glass door and louver-windows. And replace them with frame-less tempered glass door and ?window. ID said he will check if such a window is possible. however, we should still get a spacious feel. i hope. . . Thanks!

Poll For Cov Paid (2009)
ricanne replied to cacabi111's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
20K COV for EM at Kovan (Hougang) Reno big time!! only consolation is that its next to MIL's whose looking after my kids. . . -
the interval between 2 lines are either 2 or 4 inches. and each line can stretch another 1 inch. meaning the biggest gap would be 4+1+1 = 6 inches. might be a little tight for a small head. but better be safe . . 20th storey for joseeng's place . .. better consider 2in if want.

shift the wall in so that it will: (i) make the balcony bigger? (ii) help to hide the pipe more easily? sounds good enough. but need to look at the drawings . . . and the quotation . . . i also have headaches with THAT PIPE!!!

hi cjRedDevil my reno started on Christmas eve. shifting from a 4A to a EM. as you could probably understand, dunno how we managed to accumulate so much stuff in a 4A!! the movers estimated 80 boxes! quite possible. Considering that we have only packed the non-essentials into 30+ boxes. actually. . . i have been visiting this forum. didn't register as i would just peer over my hubby's shoulders. haha however, it got to a point whereby i got bored. so here I am!!
-
hey cjRedDevil really loved your touch with EMs. am having headaches with the renovation of mine right now. Esp with the aim of being economical . . . however, i like the way the ugly pipe was hidden in the kitchen (where the hob is). and how the level 1 toilet was camouflaged by the feature wall. AND the WHOLE wall separating the kitchen and balcony was hacked off!! i'll see if i can still pull it in without much $$ damage. THANKS!!!!

i wonder . . . the view from the living room . . . is that considered sha-qi?

hey Buzz think the toughest part would be the unpacking. imagine the boxes dragging across your new laminates or parquet!!
