Hi, I am planning to setup a surveillance system at home to monitor my domestic helper and my kids. The system should allow me to access the camera remotely from office PC or my 3G mobile phone and the video stream can be recorded for future playback and reference. Any one has this installed and any recommendation in terms of brand, model, quality, design, setup and pricing? Thanks a lot in advance.

I had settled for a lounge set for my living room balcony, a rectangular 6-seater dining set for the other balcony and few wicker plantewr boxes all from Wood&Wood. Now looking forward to the wood decking on the balconies and the completion of the renovation.

So far visited the following shops: Wood and Wood ohmm Natural Living @ Marina Sq a warehouse at Toh Guan East Galanga Living @ Tanglin Marquise @ Dempsey Woody Antique @ Dempsey Outdoor Culture @ AMK The Shophouse @ Lock Road For my living room balcony, I had settled for the lounge set above (but chosen a darker brown) from woods and woods... quality was quite good.... price is pretty reasonable too... I still have not decided what to but for the bigger dining room balcony... thinking of a six-seater dining set... but not sure to get the round type or the rectangular one... will also be getting few planter boxes... might check out this shop "2010 lifestyle" tomorrow... tiring but exciting...

I will monitor and see if I want to upgrade (my current purchase is Mythos 6 & 7) since my installation will only be in May...

Finally got my key today!!! Will start hunting for the outdoor furniture for both the living and dining rooms balconies. Went Wood and Wood this afternoon and this outdoor lounge set caught my attention... was quoted full set for about $1400... worth it? Should sit nicely in the dining room balcony but not sure should get lounge sofa set like this or a dining set.... Planning to visit ohmm tomorrow...

Was told it would be after CNY and I was hoping to be end Feb... but called last week and was told TOP will only be early March (not confirmed too...) and key collection will be late March... sian...

Gong Xi Fa Cai and Happy VD! Good n bad for big balconies... can enjoy comfortably the "outdoor" feeling and have it as an extended dining area... flip side is that it takes up bigger fraction of the total floor area... She couldn't recall the name of the shop but I will drive around the area to check out... will update if I see anything interesting... can't wait to collect the keys...

Have been sleeping on simmons all these years... good support... no regrets...

Not really... as this is my 2nd home I am reusing most of my living and dining furniture... but will be building new ones for all the bedrooms and study to fully maximise the bay windows. As with all new condos, all my 4 bedrooms come with bay windows so my ID is proposing beds and study table over them to "free up" more floor area... So mainly looking for new furniture for my 2 balconies (and thus starting this thread).. one at the living and the other at the dining... they are of considerable sizes esp the one at the dining which is as big as one of my bedrooms... Thanks a ton.. You have been very helpful... My ID recommended a shop at dempsey which sells good and reasobably-priced outdoor furniture... will go check it out too...

Had been using my previous Simmons for past 10 over years until now... changing as I am moving to new place and upgrading to a King... Sticking with Simmons... no regrets... So bought 2 Simmons BackCare Kids2 singles for my kids and 1 King Dreamscape for ourselves from Robinson this weekend... come with free simmon pillows and bedsheet... big investment though... $7K+ for all... but was thinking of the amount of time we spent on them... amortised over at least 10 years... and the comfort and back support they provide...

I have quite a big balcony for my new house and I plan to deck it with timber strips for that cozy resort feeling... and also a set of outdoor resort-style chair and small table set for relaxing on a lazy afternoon with my books and cup of coffee and enjoying the view from the balcony.... anyone can recommed good shops that sell nice and reasonably-priced furniture for this purpose and style?
