Maybe you can try laminate flooring, cheaper and can acheive an antique feel. my contractor told me laminate will be a little diff to maintain. but if you do maintain it well, it also can last long. try not to spent too much on made to order carpentry work. focus more on the overall feel. sometimes, a painting and few downlights create perfect atmosphere! My house is solely designed by me, my contractor just follow my instructions and give constructive suggesttion. i believe you can do it too!!!

yeah. you're right. when the main cons get stress, they scold their worker, from there they mess up everything. that is wad happen to my fren. so long as your contractor plan everything smoothly, should be alright. btw, who is your contractor? i see can compare my price anott.

this is so scary. initially i was suppose to ask him for quote too. but he keep dragging my time. i turn to another contractor instead. my current contractor deliver everything she promised. so i think i made the right choice. i think if jason replied me on time, i will most probably engage him too. my mum n sis did their kitchen n toilets with a contractor who is starting my reno works soon. average prices and work is quite good. my mum did her overhaul toilet around 4k. pm me if you need the contacts=)

this is super rough quote. there are alot of things which is not stated inside. do you want to try to get a quote from my contractor? she did my mum and my sis place. going to start mine end of this month. i think she will be slightly cheaper.

it is not the uneven flooring i guess. i saw the process of flr tiling before and the worker told me they need to make e elevel slightly slunted to allow the water to flow to the floor trap direction. so 30 x 30 will be the best choice i guess.

For my mum and sis toilet reno took them about 3-4k for a simple reno with flr wall tiles, install toilet bowl,basin, hot cold pipe also some glass mosaic design etc. consider overhaul the whole toilet.

My ccontractor charges me 90-100 pft for cabinet and solid surface is 70pft. Hope these help! if you need the contact can just Pm me.

Wow, you definitely have a very good experience in your carpentry works. Sadly, I dont have the time to co-ordinate the sub-contractors. So i guess i'll have to engage one person to do everything. if im not wrong plastering of beam should be alright. but only thing we cant hack the beam. maybe u can check with hdb?

u can try homefix. if im not wrong i did saw something like that before.

the condition is quite bad. i think it is better to get a contractor up to assess the condition or do a site survey. my mum's house have these kind of problems too. end up hack and redo everything with real PROPER waterproofing then viola! everything done.
