  1. i think it's a load of crap though..why would he leave after one bad season? plus he was injured for most of it! after proclaiming his love for the club umpteen times, it will really be a huge blow if he does decide to leave. why hasn't he came out to put to rest all these rubbish... no wonder they call this the silly season. yes i agree, he cannot move to another english club!! i feel sick thinking about it.
  2. very nice!! *envy* but hor, your rainshower like very close to the WC! everytime you shower, it'll be wet all over right?
  3. oh we won't be needing to worry about that i suppose, cos we're going to hack the wall dividing the hall from the kitchen..so should have more than sufficient space for the fridge. you're so detailed leh, measuring everything from entrance to kitchen thank you thank you! i shall follow this schedule then.. btw, heard about the torres rumors?
  4. wah seh, you're finally back after such a long hiatus! good to know your bathtub's arrived. where are the pics?
  5. your place is looking really good!.. love the curved windows.. your mirror in the dining area - was it pricey? how big is it?
  6. ya i've already had to change my bed & mattress delivery date. soon i'm going to change my fridge + washer date. argh! my electrician was found right here jaskel will be helping me out..
  7. good for u..i suppose Creation will also do that but we don't want them drilling any big holes thru our nicely plastered walls!
  8. okie, thanks..will edit my schedule to put the false ceiling before first round painting.. my PM is supposed to give us a schedule after our permit is approved. cos right now, we've already waited something like 3 weeks for the permit..don't get me started. we're doing up our own schedule first to coordinate the different deliveries plus also we'll be outsourcing our plastering, electrical and painting. we won't be having any concealed pipes/wiring so not a problem then. we'll try to leave painting to the end, hopefully can avoid any blemishes. trunking is done separately cos they need to drill/hack holes, so my PM says get the trunking done early so that any unsightly holes can be patched up then plastered so everything sui sui..
  9. yep i allocated two days in a row for painting..didn't know still need to touch up!! so i have to add in second round. we only have kitchen cabinet, no other carpentry works.. Both our aircon company (Creation) + our renovator says aircon should be installed on two appts: first is to run the trunking, second is to install the blower (think separately cos trunking must be run before plastering but blower must be installed only after plastering? - not sure.. )
  10. Trying to do up a schedule, can anyone please advise if this is the correct order of things? - all masonry works completed - aircon trunking installation - electrical rewiring - run water pipe - run gas pipe - plastering - replace windows, doors, gate & grilles - false ceiling, lbox etc - painting - kitchen cabinet installation - install sanitary fittings, lights - aircon blower installation - painting touch up - cleaning, acid wash - handover
  11. hey babe, s/steel fridge like this: no idea if the washer can wash quilt + queensized bedsheet at the same time..but i prefer to wash them separately anyway..bedsheet + pillow cases + quilt cover, quilt on its own..
  12. wah sam, you better get lots of rest!..i read your post also feel **** sian for u..haha cheer up babe.
  13. welcome to RT! congrats on starting reno..
  14. wah u so fast collect your hob liao? why never ask them to hold until reno starts?
  15. welcome to RT! congrats on the new place
  16. i know what you're referring to..my PM also suggested it. we're keeping that as a extreme last option. we still prefer the normal white tub! thanks for the suggestion anyway
  17. voices on video not so bad wat! haha...ya i thought it would sound like the heineken ad..lol
  18. we are only doing bottom, so same as yours then = 16 ft..
  19. Reno permit update No. of Days Awaiting Permit: 18 4.15pm: No call from HDB technical officer, so i called him. he said whole day the engineer phone engaged. He said he'll try again and call me back in 5 mins. 4:30pm: Called me back to say he spoke to the engineer liao. Same answer - cannot. Reason: cannot extend toilet to accomodate bathtub. He told the engineer the bathtub is still in the existing shower area. Engineer still maintained "Cannot", ask HDB officer to submit appeal. HDB officer told me he already submitted on our behalf but he thinks chances not very high. Say the main engineer on leave until Friday, most likely Monday then will know. ON LEAVE AGAIN. He then went on a tirade about how its not advisable to put bathtub blah blah blah. Then say if not approved and we still install, next time they come and check, both lessees and contractor will kena. LESSEES.
  20. but thats just wrong..! luckily i've got a patient renovator. already applied permit twice..both times rejected. and luckily i have time to wait. and hongwen, yes its true. contractors all seem to have different notions of what's allowed and what's not allowed. a case in point - levelling of kitchen floors with the hall.
  21. yep apparently, right? but plan b's bathtub is within the so-called wet area and they still rejected our application!
  22. very nice 3ds! like the first pic..
  23. nope, not galley style. we're doing L-shaped with a side pantry on the opposite wall. we already complaining not enough storage space..if we have just 8 ft, i think erm... we're not tiling our kitchen so we'll need the backsplash as we intend to cook very often. right now, we're happy with our solid surface la, though my original idea was to go for a s/steel top. its reflective so its ideal for a small kitchen. look forward to seeing the big reveal..you should video it like what Moh Guan did..haha..then we all can see/hear your reaction when you see the s/steel for the first time..
