after you put up the 3M, did u leave it there to "stew" for a bit? IIRC, need to do that before you hang anything on it...

db, is your kitchen glass backsplash frosted? or did you paint it white? has a green tint to it...read that frost glass will have green tint?

hey gimz, yep the aircon is installed partially below the door frame to allow the trunking to run out. we'll be getting our plasterer to box up that section. We'll also be installing a shorter door. No way around it cos we didn't wanna shell out more to hack the door frame, replace it with a shorter one and putting up hollow blocks above the new door frame. the windows in the living & common room have been changed, but they are done wrongly as 1 panel instead of 2. super heavy to lift up which renders it useless. the replacements are supposed to go up this week. PM says this is the first time they're doing such windows so there was a communication error. hopefully, this time there will be no screw-ups..

Complaints & Grievances #1 - Looks like..... smells like...... We had to leave at about 5pm and left the aircon installers to finish up the work. When we left, the house had 3 aircon installers and 3 workers who came to clear the debris. Not sure who left last, but when we returned to the house to check later at night, we saw this: Coffeeshop is just downstairs. Why, why, why?? At two different spots somemore - does it mean two different guys? Hb and I went up again last night to Dettolize the floor. #2 - Trunking not done properly Spotted these in our MBR: Did they do these parts in the dark or what? Have called Creation this morning and sent them an email with these pictures too.

Aircon Installation by Creation Air Installers were on time and were waiting for us when we arrived. Hb told them how we wanted the utility to be done and further discussions on the holes that will be opened and the route of the trunking etc. The trunking, insulation, fan coil units waiting to go up... One of the installers putting up the unit in the living room. Trunking for this unit is through the common room wall so not visible in the hall. Steel bracket installed outside the window of our MBR. We were a little disappointed that the grey PVC water pipehad to run along the tub instead of along the walls since it would prevent the toilet door from being opened inwards. PM told us previously that we should run it along the walls but failed to ensure that the curb at the doorway was high enough for the pipe to run through. Have to paint this pipe white to make it not stand out so much.

Saturday was a busy and fruitful one: - Aircon installation by Creation Air - Delivery of WC, kitchen sink and wash basin by GR Link - Carpentry measurements taken - All debris cleared Firstly, here are some photos updates on the reno: Citygas water heater installed some time ago. We're lucky it fits nicely out of sight, behind the rubbish chute wall. Tiling completed and holes drilled in preparation for mixer installation The cutout for the bathroom cabinet

oh ya, jaskel mentioned "shadow grey" in one of the posts above..sorry forgot! u haven't decided on the backsplash yet?
-
its white right? the kitchen wall? your backsplash is glass or s/steel?
-
your walls look like they've been plastered, though i know u didn't..good ah saved quite a bit. are you changing your windows?
-
muahahah your hb so funny...nowadays avg temperature no longer 26 degrees. can go up to 32 degrees! we will die without aircon! we sound spoilt but even my hb's grandaunt who only uses the fan and never the aircon and who used to think we're mad for installing so many aircon in our place, now agrees that weather is too hot. she's always asking me "why weather so hot nowadays ah?" but when we sleep, we set timer to auto off at 4 or 5am.. oh u mean u didn't get jaskel's contact thru RT ah? i thought u got his contact here...and ya jaskel is getting v.famous liao. don't be superstar can already la, right jaskel?

-

-
ya i've had to shift my deliveries as well. but i just told them to KIV it. will call when we're ready for them to deliver so no need to keep calling and changing dates...
-
hey dexufto, finally get to see pics of the house! you're lucky the pipes in the toilet don't need to be replaced, like curryqueen said. and those half-tiled walls in the kitchen and the lack of electrical trunking...reminds me of mine before reno lol. plus point = you got a sitting WC! save cost, no need to convert squat to sitting. and i like your gate! if fits into your theme, can save by not replacing it. just a fresh coat of paint will do. your flooring - is there a drop at the kitchen entrance? cannot really see but looks to be one smooth plane. just noticed the seller got so many cupboards in the living room...
-
'girly-fying' - your hb so cute.. your saturday tmr sounds action-packed! i'm also expecting lots of activities tmr (but not as exciting as yours ). hope all your deliveries go well..
-
very fast progress, sammy...happy for u! did u rewire your place btw?
-
kitchen walls are very glossy! are you skipping the backsplash?
