cos last sunday i took pics liao..so i thought they wouldn't have done any work from Mon-Thu since no permit mah..so didn't bring camera along lor! wasted..really so happy with the screeded floors especially at the service yard area.. ya you noticed! wow..very sharp eyes.. i was mis-quoted btw.. thanks we're also hoping this time round our permit will be approved so we can move this project along..

Reno Day 11 Met up with our PM last night at the house. Reached early and had a few minutes to look at the place before she arrived. Both of us were pleasantly surprised that they had laid canvas & protective cardboard everywhere, I suppose to prepare for more hacking. As of last night, the hall + rooms + kitchen floors have been cement screeded. The service yard has also been levelled out and screeded. We really liked the way they did the screed..got nice variations in colours.. so happy! Cannot wait to see the effect after they apply the sealer. The annoying little pipe sticking out in the kitchen has also been cut, also makes us very happy! We discussed the bathroom and explored changing the layouts. Finally decided on sticking to the same layout but reducing the entrance walk-in space which in turns reduces the "wet area" that HDB deems we are expanding. PM says this plan should be ok. So they will be re-submitting the permit, hopefully this time HDB grants us the approval. If its still a no-go, we'll have to forgo our bathtub and put a shower in there. Sorry no pictures taken cos didn't know they'd done any work since my last visit. Will be there again this weekend to take some measurements, will try to get some pics taken..!

the reason hdb gave was that we cannot extend the bathroom for wet area use. so i don't know if getting a PE's endorsement will resolve that..

appeal? didn't know that was possible.....how does one do that? just call the technical officer? or must write in.......?

found out today that the permit to expand our bathroom was not approved.. looks like we'll have to come up with a new bathroom plan/layout......

oh i see now..just curious but why white flourescent lights? don't u find it too stark?

u never buy kitchen sink ah? my hb & i fell in love with the cadino on our first visit to GR link few weeks back..then when time came to purchase, i decided to go for a crizto double-bowl one which was only half the price of the cadino..jasmine even wrote down the model number liao..then in the end hb made executive decision to go for the cadino.. we didn't take pics..not very convenient to lug my camera around

er ya i think mine also is cassonova. blur liao.. cos we never "upgrade" to the more expensive one with the big buttons..off to change my sig!

hey gimz, what is the model of your ventilation fan? how much did u get it at? got another pic of the hall fan + lights? can't really see how you did it..are the lights just above the fan?

ya i check the status on their website twice a day..as of this morning, it's still "Pending". Since 23 Apr!! Anyway, good that yours got approved! Gives me hope..

er ang, sorry to break the bad news but i was just at GR Link on friday, the tap brand is pozzi, jasmine told me price is $178 but can go at $170..where did you buy yours?

welcome to RT! another 3-roomer.. we're also planning to merge our bath & WC..now awaiting for permit to approve.. your toilet bowl orientation most likely cannot be done..

yes, we think its better to hack everything first then screed. PM yesterday was saying that she wants to start cement screeding the walls liao, ask me to call aircon guys to come down to run piping first. but cos new toilet walls are not up yet, we told her its better to wait until all walls are hacked/built according to plan first then start screeding etc. she very kan chiong to move the project..! then she say if like that, our project will be delayed liao. but what to do? hdb so slow. if they're doing the screeding on a work day, we won't be there..i don't think my pictures will have many workmen..haha cos we'll only be there after office hours or on weekends..

i appealed for an earlier first appointment and knew the results very shortly. they will send you a letter. but you can also login to HDB website to check..

thanks, we also cannot wait.. er..tiling only in bathroom..and i've told my pm not to order tiles until HDB approves the permit. wait skali order tiles liao then cannot hack the walls. our entire bathroom plans will have to change. hb say the place smelled like a burial site...hahaha too much sand.. actually its for electrical, plastering and painting..she agreed to match our plastering price, painting cannot match and electrical still waiting for her reply..
