sam, i think her handover only one month later...long wait...
-
very nice pipings! especially the last copper one.. er you might wanna think twice about the shoe pallet rack? its nice but i doubt baby would wanna use it to put her shoes! it will scruff the fronts..
-
there are tons, check the classifieds. you may get better price if you sell direct to buyers though. can advertise on ebay or gumtree or craigslist. good luck!
-
so cute the smurfs! haha...
-
he washes the clothes? wah..where you find such a husband ah? i oso want! is your water heated located in the bathroom? looks like the bathroom but i know citygas don't allow installation in enclosed spaces..or is that the service yard? anyway, i think the white pipes look much better painted white, especially since your wall tiles are white..less of an eye sore, definitely..
-
wah then it will be like a walk-in library..!
-
thanks for the pic..oh didn't realise you not gonna have a hood. you guys don't cook often? i s'pose we'll run the gas pipes on top from hall to kitchen then drop down at the big sewage pipe at the corner (where you have the full height cabinet) then turn right to the stove. the hood will just have to start below the box-up for the gas & water pipes then..see how it goes..!
-
you mean something like this?
-
welcome to RT! congrats on the new place! is your flat from the sale of balance flats in oct 09?
-
wow, 2 P@D blogs set up within a couple of hours from each other? what are the odds.. Welcome to RT! congrats on the new flat and have fun with your reno!
-
Good Morning! Welcome to RT.. your place is just opposite mine. how big is your unit? don't look too small to me..
-
it was fruitless, we had to settle for the standard built-in stove. bit disappointing but you said it, viking is really mad pricey. $9k?!
-
very cool, that link.. makes me wanna go and start one of those myself.. anyway, your photobucket images are coming out small cos you're copying the thumbnail link. you need to look for the proper image link and copy that instead.. for example, you copied & pasted this: but you should have copied & pasted this: HTH!

-
oh i see, so you & your SIL are around la..i thought she just dump her terrors on you..lol ok good, so if anything wrong with my project, you'll get my PM. but so far, she's been good la. just occasionally quite hard to get hold of..think she very busy..plus my project is also kinda small.. thankyew hahaha..sorry laugh at my own joke. yes been thinking of asking u about your upholsterer. mind sharing his contact? got a rough quote from someone online too, $450. double the price of my sofa. can PM me or just post it here, whichever you prefer. thankyew in advance!
-
wow sam, you sound really tired & overworked! you should take turns with your SIL to babysit these 3 kiddos..or at least until your reno is done mah.. perhaps if u get front load, you might be able to fit the dryer on top. same for us, we wouldn't be able to fit the dryer on top if our washer isn't front load. my MIL also don't like front loads, say got to bend down to put in clothes la, got to bend down to take out clothes la, then her previous washer was an ariston front load that always spoil so she ain't too impressed by them.. but i like front loads! they use less water & are gentler on your clothes. where did u get those old school lights from? did u import them? don't think i've seen them in sg..? -
hey curryqueen, i just realised you wanted to do a bookshelf using pipes! that's a fantastic idea!! i actually have this picture in my "inspirations" folder as posted in my blog some time ago. Behold the copper pipes bookshelf: G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S!!
-
hey thirdrock, i was so smitten by your dining table that i called your contractor..he promised to get back to me with a price..hopefully its not too pricey he told me he'd be using pine wood bought from ikea, stain then varnish it. then fabricate the stainless steel legs.. i would prefer if he could get recycled wood though but he said recycled wood not long enough to make dining table. sigh!
-
that's a good one there, coldflamez...hahaha
-
hey gimz, its not so much a matter of blending that we're worried about. its more of how to run the gas pipes past the hood when we don't have top cabinets..? not sure if have to install the hood below the gas pipe or is it must cut a hole in the hood to fit the pipes. sheesh..details details details. anyway, yes we think the sofa is also a good buy..haha its off ebay. we went down to the seller's place to view the sofa over the weekend cos we were afraid it might be too big for our place. yep the citygas dryer is a lil' pricey..compared to the normal dryers. but i really cannot stand the smell of food on my clothes so i prefer not to hang laundry in the kitchen..and hanging outside is not an option for towels and bedding..so luckily we got budget for dryer...
-
wah, why your aircon can only install on 22 may? is it from gain city? did you re-run new gas pipes? if yes, do u have a pic of how its done? just trying to figure out how to run it from hall to kitchen, past the hood and down again to stove..how does it pass the hood - does the pipe go above the hood? or must cut the hood to fit the pipes? *confused*
