hi Adah, he told me what happend to ur false ceiling.. ID is reponsive and willing to replace some of the items but i am upset by this comment he made "people say we have good workmanship.. when people see workmanship, they only see carpentary skills , tiling skills etc. No oNe will notice if the tiles got scratches or not". for chipped tiled, he mentioned its cut manually by tiler so will chip. I agree with him partially only. Chipped is also the joints chipped and not the surface right? told him to touch up if he dont want to change the chipped tiles. When the flooring guys made that comment, I guess my laminated floor must be one of the worst they have seen. Maybe because he gave too much discount that its eating into his profit.. haha Anyway, I just want the whole episode to be over. Maybe will spend $$ to look for better contractor to touch up for me or DIY.

floorich came to replace my Pergo laminates and touch up on some scratches instead of replacing because the carpentary are up.. they made a comment before they left: " they never take care of your house when they work, if not wont be so jia lat " well that just sums it up. We bought our own roll of corrugated board to cover some parts of the floor to prevent further damage. Our contractor probably score a big fat 0/10 in terms of taking care of the owner stuff. Urine marks on our toilet bowl, scratches on our laminated flooring, scratches on our lamiantes and scratches on our sink While we understand things cannot be 100% done nicely during reno, we expect the workers to have the basic courtesy of taking care of our stuffs Will i use laminated floors and engage this company again for my reno , probably not.

initially i thought it was my title... thought of changing it to happy and smooth sailing..

dont think he has the intention to replace.. think they tried to cove up the laminate with somethings.. but the mark is still there. The wardrobe was nicely done though..

yup... since we have the same team.. hope he can rectify

To all those people whom PM me for their contacts, I must apologise if the workmanship is lousy. After we check on our house closely, we realise a lot of items are not up to standard such as chip wall tiles etc.. I hope you catch the contractor on a better day.

Our reno seems to have come to a standstill. The workmanship is very poor. We have chipped tiles on our common toilet wall, Scratch Kitchen Sink, Chipped shoe cabinet , scratches all over our living rooms tiles because they did not cover up with corrugated board after painting. Will post the picture soon.

Thanks. We insisted on the cement sink support instead of wood. Id was kind enough to provide the mosaic tiles which was more expensive then what the package allows.

do check ur item carefully when mega discount delivers because they will not entertain u after that. for vouchers, try and take from the spot and dont believe their sweet talk that the voucher will be available during delivery.

bought our veneer doors from this shop : SENTAT TRADING (S) PTE LTD, from the amk outlet the workmanship of the door is really bad.. the first time we saw it after its fixed, we found small dented holes, popped out dents and cracks along the side of the door. Called them, n they said the man will go down the next day to rectify the issue. at the end of day 2.. we don't see any difference frm the rectification at all. emailed them the pics, n they called the next day, saying they will send someone down to change new doors for us. (as requested in our email) upon changing, better looking, but tiny flaws can still be spotted.. went down to make payment for the balance, asked the lady if they do QC for their doors, quote her examples. She just give a very act blur smile : "u can call head office"

I've also changed the 3D design many times.. my reno cost also keeps adding up during the process too (add this add that) .. but good thing is that my ID is willing to nego on the price.. I'm having the black galaxy.. believe its indian granite. One advise i got from several ID i've visited is not to put hot things directly on the solid surface. Once the mark is formed, it cannot be removed

hi qiqi, the carpentary so far is good.. even my mum commented they were put up nicely. One concern is the kitchen cabinet, can only tell when the granite top is up. For solid surface, u need to protect it against hot stuff, that's the reason why I went ahead with granite. $40 pfr should be ok, usually granite top cost about $120 - $140, that price should be for indian granite which is thicker than the china one.

yeah, he manged to sort out the issues...those workers eat snake when he is not around...

buy from mega is because they match price and gave free delivery.. thats about it.. so u wont feel heartpain when the price drop before delivery. TV wise, those neighbourhood store cannot fight with those mega electronics store.. and also mega electronics chain can also bargain.. did that couple of times already

ur house coming along fine, most of the things are done.. the overall experience i have in this reno is deteriorating ... will do a proper Full review once the reno is completed..

which ID got includes lights in the reno package ? can intro? nothing is for free...

suppose to retile skirting.. 2 weeks, still not done.. ceiling work... one big ugly patch after Kevin told them to plaster bigger area.. Box up the wrong aircon pipe.. Window contractor came and we have different dimension for grills design for our living room windows and one panel of the grills in the room is missing. will check again on Sat.. maybe its my first time visiting the house on a weekday..
