was looking for a mini sewing machine... and found this on ebay... my mom wants it but doesn't want to buy it online.. she wants to see it at a shop and check it out physically... so anyone seen this anywhere recently? http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/MINI-SEWING-MACHINE...=item2a0455a13d something like this should be sold somewhere at some shopping center or some pasar malam or something right? it's one of those things you walk past and ignore the salesperson with a microphone selling the **** out of this at some neighbourhood town center right? and when you want to buy it you can't find it.. hahaha

i wonder what's your budget to renovate? i was looking at similar flats, about 5 months ago.. in fact one that was down right ROTTEN... i mean it was used by a lion dance troupe... with cement walls and cement floors.... and an added bonus - it smelled of SWEAT... so was ready to spend $25K - $30K to do it up real nice... but in the end settled for something already renovated... and we've just been looking at minor repairs and painting... very interested to see what you get to do with your 3ng... i kinda didn't get a chance to renovate mine... but pretty happy with it still...

hi, did you use them eventually? did they do a good job? and was the bill exactly as advertised? i've asked quotes from a few paintes who advertise X amount of dollars for painting my 3NG but when they view and quote its always more...

hmm... i'd have thought there would be more pics of people sharing their home colours... don't know if i should be asking this on this thread but as you can see i am a newbie... i just got quotes of around $1000 to $1100 to paint my resale 3NG... it was renovated about 2 years ago, the walls are all "plastered" smooth aleady.. just the colours are awful (to me at least) and there are various screws, nails and hooks all around... is $1000 a reasonable amount?

hi, i need one very urgently as well... i posted my first thread asking for help, but somehow, it doesn't show up or nobody viewed it at all... haizzzz.... i just need to acid wash toilets, painting (plus patching of walls from screws/nails etc), marble floor polishing, supply and change lights for my 3 rm flat. somebody please help!

just got a quote from 138 movers... $680 the guy said it will be a 7-8 man team (wah so many)... 50 boxes... 2 trucks... i've got 1 bed, 1 sofa bed, living room set, 1 cupboard, fridge, washing machine and loose items like fans, chairs and side tables... moving from 4rm (2 floors from lift) to a 3rm (also 2 floors from lift)... which was one of the reasons the guy pointed out that it will cost more... does $680 sound right? seems quite expensive... i did mention to the guy that we are not moving a lot of the stuff cos we are throwing away a lot of junk.. my mum is a hoarder e.g., we have 27 umbrellas in the storeroom and 3 rice cookers, 2 of which are not working... does anyone out there know my pain? gonna check out helping hands quote 2moro... any other recommendations guys?

tried posting this earlier.. but it seems like its not appearing in this forum.. so i'm re-posting this... not sure if i'm doing something wrong.. newbie here lah... hope this works hi people! i've been visiting this forum for quite a while now... but never posted anything... i actually registered like 4-5 months back but had some trouble logging in (maybe it was a problem with my computer.... idk) anyways that was when i thought i was getting a resale 3 rm flat that was in shambles and was looking for an id company... but to cut the long story short, i got a 3rm resale that's pretty fully renovated... and i'm getting the keys next week (seller unexpectedly said can give me keys way way early) all i need to do is find a contractor to do some electrical works, change lightings, cleaning/polishing of marble floor and painting of rooms and living room... should i bother looking at id companies for quotes? would they turn my business down and laugh at me straight in the face as i am only getting so little work done? haha so what's the reasonable estimate i should be looking for in my case?... my budget is cheap cheap cheapest i can find bcos i blew it all on a renovated house... opinions and recommendations guys? many thanks in advance
