Yes indeed Are your grilles silver too? Had a difficult time choosing the wrought iron grilles design. Wanted the same aluminium grilles like the rest of the windows but in the end opted for wrought iron so I can sleep better at night without worrying after someone breaking in downstairs. I think this design is great coz it makes it harder for passersby to grab at the stuff near the window.

Ya, surprisingly cooling, even without the aircon on. Initially we only wanted a system 3 for the bedrooms but later decided on system 4 inverter. Reasons being flexibily in usage (can use aircon or fan or both, especially when we have guests) and since we can't decide between the two, might as well go for system 4 since we're renovating (if regret later, need to fix trunking and all, ...)

Gee thanks! Actually, when we were searching for a house, we did view a few 5-rooms, EAs and EMs. At that time, it was a practical choice (to us at least) to choose EM over a 5 room coz the asking price was about the same (new 5 rooms in Yishun were valued at over $400k and asking for high COV). Now that we've moved in, we're glad we made the decision to buy an EM although when we first got married, I told my husband EMs are out (what if I fall down when I'm pregnant, what if our baby falls down the stairs etc). Now, this EM seems so cosy and has more privacy (e.g guests cannot glance into the rooms upstairs, kids can study in their rooms even when we are watching the television in the living room).... Hopefully you can get your dream EM too

Idzign
Ummee replied to mshoon's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
Just completed my renovation with IDzign. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. My ID, Fabian, was able to handover the whole project on time. Price wise was competitive and one of the lowest that we've got compared to a few other firms. No complaints about the workmanship and the aftersales service is great. Uploaded some pics on my T-Blog (though not all). No regrets and I'll most likely get its service again if I ever need to -
Was worried that the water from the kitchen sink will splash onto the washing machine power point. My ID thoughtfully got the electrician to install a plastic cover for it. Just realised while uploading this that it's MK as well. Ha! Instant heater at my small kitchen toilet Got the smallest rectangular washbasin available due to the limited space. I find it very cute WC @ kitchen toilet

Finally have time to update my reno progress. Everything went smoothly so far and I've moved in about a fortnight ago. I am very, very satisfied with the quality and service given by my reno ID. He managed to meet our handover date and patiently attended to my numerous queries, promptly dispatched his men to touch up the house whenever necessary etc. However there are still a few things that are not ready, like the curtains and some soft furnishings that can wait(actually no more energy to shop after all the moving in, cleaning up, unpacking, filling in warranty cards (which I hate most), shopping, etc) Here's some photos I managed to take today: Kitchen entrance Kitchen cabinets Fridge, oven and microwave BTW, the microwave oven is a standby. Still waiting for the right one to be delivered.

Non-adjustable is cheaper, and imho, better. Strength, Stability and Weight of pole are the 3 important factors for laundry pole. Bamboo pole is definitely heavier than aluminium. It's the clothes that's heavy, not the aluminium pole. Aluminium pole wouldn't make your clothes weigh less. If you compare the same clothes with aluminium pole or with bamboo pole, bamboo pole will definitely be heavier Thanks for the honest feedback! Most likely will be going for the aluminium, non-adjustable ones (unless ID already buy the adjustable ones).

Hi Ossify, Got a question regarding the aluminium laundry poles. I've been told there are 2 types - adjustable and non-adjustable ones. In your opinion, which is better? Does it get heavy when loaded with clothes to hang(compared to bamboo poles)? TIA!!

Thanks thanks! I've been busy these 3 days. Saturday - confirmed placement of bathroom accessories. Realised the shop delivered wrong washbasin for my kitchen toilet so have to change that. Showed my ID a few things I need him to rectify. He said no problem. Will get his men to do it asap. I've been packing, packing and packing my stuff like crazy since yesterday. Hopefully everything is ok for my move next Saturday if not must postpone date. Realised that I've accumulated so much junk these few years. Threw away some things, sold off a few at eBay, but still soooo many things left! Dunno whether still have energy to wake up for work tomorrow. Sooo tired. Not enuff sleep
