I just get to know that jeremy are going for reservist for 3 wks...so leslie is taking over...good that he is taking over..as he knows exactly what to do.. There was another hiccups for our theme, as the floor tiles we wanted, didnt have enough stock for the rooms. I wonder how come I keep getting tiles no stock issue..so troublesome...and its so last min that we have to rechoose another one..and we are not in SG. Leslie suggested that he top up for us to use carpet for rooms...which sounds class and cosy...but I'm afraid the maintenance will be an issue..especially if next time if we have kids...and carpet quite prone to dirt and water...so after considering for 1 day..we rejected his suggestion..and we for a even darker tone tiles...really scare what would be the outcome as we personally didnt see the tiles b4...only thru a mms from jeremy which was taken with flash that makes it looks lighter tone. Actually, if your fren cancel their contract, they are only forfeiting the 10% deposit right?? Which is lesser than 3k, so overall still cheaper by $700 if they engage CLC.

Yah..i also try not to let CLC do the topup if possible..coz not so good loh...*** is the culprit..so should let them bare the responsibility...i'm still waiting for *** call...they say will call me...but i went oversea for the last few days...didnt receive their call yet...sian

Sorry...was away for a short holiday, just came back today. Tomorrow going to be my reno start date...going to be there to oversee the beginning of work...like every start of movie making..they have to do praying and cut roast pig..haha He told me he is brought a client over that sun...and also spend 3k++ and didnt complain abt the price...so its u ah? haha I got exactly the same thinking as u loh...if its just diff of 200+..i'm still ok with it...coz i trusted them and the place they refer...so i didnt want to go make comparison and confirm the purchase, but the diff is just too huge...and its not leslie fault also...he said they usually give his referer a good price...I wonder how come I so suay? Met that stupid new sales man who doesnt know what is happening...haiz I didnt expect him to be shouting at them..haha...i thought he was quite soft also...keke

An update on our last Saturday acitivities with CLC. Some not very pleasant experience, but CLC step up and are willing to take the responsibilities. This is something that I like abt them, they are honest in their biz! 1) Meeting them at 11am in our new house for site inspection and finalizing stuff required. Got Jeremy sms at 10.40am that they will be late and changed to 11.45am. In the end, they reached like 12.15pm. So far, we met like 5 times and 3 times they are late, 2 times we are late. haha. Anyway, I guess they are being held up by the client, so it's forgivable lah. The only thing is that they inform us quite late to change timing to 45min later. Lucky, we just live nearby, and we also took our own sweet time to set off from home, so the delay didnt really impact us alot. 2) They went thru with us the whole house details, which I think its quite good, as they came prepared, with all the hands detailed drawing. They only manage to revised the 3D drawing with another theme for our comparison, but didnt manage to give us a full exact 3D, as his 3D drawers are back to Malaysia for holiday. His hand details drawing are somewhat sufficient, just need to visualise abit. There are also extras that we are adding which could cost another 2.5-3k more! haiz We are quite surprised that for kitchen cabinet, we wanted to change some cabinets to drawers, but was told that drawers thread are more exp, still bargaining with them, not sure if approved. Leslie also made us feel that he is fickle minded, sometimes say the design can match, sometimes say cannot. eg. Initially, told him we want the full height mirror over the whole wall for dining area, but was being rejected, as he say not nice, need to add board behind the mirror, which could increase the thickness of wall, and the side of the wall may not flush nicely. Now that we insist that we need a mirror somewhere there, he is proposing that it would be nicer to have the mirror for whole wall, instead of half. 3) Went to soon bee huat for tiles reselection. Manage to retain my fav tiles, but as stock are limited, use it in MBR toilet instead of kitchen. Then choose another similar and matching one for common toilet and kitchen. Will try to post pic tonight. Another fickle minded case from Leslie, initially for room tiles, I mention that I'm choosing another more exp tiles, and he is willing to chip in the extras right? Now he say that the tiles does not have enough stock and the cutting of the tiles are not able blend in nicely with the walkway tiles. And due to the color difference (gray for living to walk way and white for bedroom), it will look odd. He suggest that it is better that the tiles color to flush in from living to all bedroom. So in the end stick to his suggestion loh. I only worried that the whole house will look dark dark with gray tiles. 4) Next, we went to purchase our bathroom accessories in *** at Tradehub. This is where our nightmare began for the day! This shop is suppose to have dealing with CLC, and are suppose to give us a good price! But in the end, we ended up paying more than what was selling in IMM! Our total purchase was 3.9K! The stupid sales guys, gave us overall 10% discount and then told us that the price are not GST inclusive when we ask if thats the nett price. So he added 7% GST to the final bill, so we are only given like 3% discount???!! What the hack! Anyway, we struggle abit there as the price seems abit steep, but we are assure that the price is reasonable, and we trusted Leslie as he mention that the price are around there. Initially, I am thinking of going to IMM for a comparison b4 we commit, but I dont want to trouble them bringing us here and there, and they seems to be rushing for time. So we settle for these stuff. Items we bought 1x hood and hob 1x kitchen sink 1x kitchen industrial tap 2x wc 1x storage heater 2x toilet sink 2x toilet tap 2x washer spray 1x shower set 1x bath mixer 1x rain shower 1x 7pc toilet acc 1x paper holder 1x towel bar (try to post photos tonight) Right after our purchase, we went to IMM and hoping that what we purchase are cheaper or at least not much difference. To our horror, IMM was selling the exact same thing at a cheaper price!! And they are able to offer 15% discount and inclusive of GST!!! Some of the items are even 40% cheaper before discount! Overall, we could have save at least 500-800!! We almost fainted on the spot, called Leslie immediately, and he said he will look into it. The next day, Leslie went to their boss, and was told that the stupid sales guy was a new comer, he doesnt know abt the discount thing for referrers from CLC. The price quoted are for walk in customers, and he will recalculate discount and give us refund! Leslie also assured us that, if prices after discount does not match, he will top up the difference, as he was the one who brought us there. This is the portion, that I like abt! He takes responsibilities! However, we also pai seh for him to top up. Was suggesting, if after discount, prices does not match, see if can cancel some items, and we will do purchase from else where. Just a warning, for those who wants to walk in to ***, think twice!

Before I engaged on CLC, I was going thru the forum and wanted to try ah soon as well. But before I could ask for quotation, the ah soon incident already happen. Lucky I didnt act too soon. keke Anyway, to be fair, I cant comment too much abt CLC yet, as the reno have not started. Its only 2 wks to my proposed reno start date, but have not finalized a single thing yet. Meeting them this Sat, hopefully can finalized most of the stuff. Abit worried if the reno will have to push back abit if we cant make up our mind. keke Will comment more as things goes on, and post some photos.

They shifted to bukit batok industry area. Cant rem the exact address. It is somewhere near the toh tuck road there, 1 of the building.

Btw, the tv console he specially design for us, he use it in their new office as well. He say he no time to think of design for his office, so just copy the same. So if u happen to pop by his office, can go take a look. But he suggest another daring laminate for us instead of the plain one he uses in his office.

Yah, 1st phase of 3D only mah. He mention that generally it needs at least 3-4 times to finalize the color theme and we need to meet at least 6 times b4 reno. But seems like time is catching up. Next meet up with him is after CNY to do site measurement and rechoose tiles. jia lat. Waiting for his revised drawing this wkend. So we can think over it over CNY. Hope everything goes smoothly.

But he tell me resort theme exp. haha Didnt know he is on paper. Do u know which date paper or mag? Any online articles to share? I didnt know their manpower so many. I thought only 3-4 pple working, coz they like so busy. keke

This is also one of the reason I like abt them. But ultimately, it is still up to us if we can accept that design. Heard from him that resort theme are rather expensive. Welcome to CLC club! Who is jack? How come u got so many project managers?? I have not heard of jack before. So what is the theme that he propose to u? Today just sat with them on 1st phase 3D, very confusing, so many things to choose and the theme they proposed to us is very strong. Quite daring choices. We are still thinking hard now. And got some bad news is the tiles we choosen last wk, may not have stock. Jia lat, love the tiles so much yet no stock. May have to choose again if the stock not coming in after CNY to rush for our reno. sian!

Yes, JB in malaysia. No, it is FOC. I merely told them that I would buy some of my furniture there, and they volunteer to go in to scout for me. Anyway, just went to JB and confirm my sofa set already. Dining and coffee table not too impress. Hmm...they are not the cheapest quote among the IDs (abt 8 of them), neither are they the most exp. I think their prices are reasonable. They also explain abt their profit margin, and some of the item which i think is costly, they will try to source for cheaper one. But if they are not able to give it cheaper, they will tell me. And the fact that some ID will charge u 1 item cheaper, then they cover by other items. I guess they should have reasonable amt of projects done, but probably mostly are referrals and not much from RT. Even those from RT, might not really contribute too. So far seems like I am the most recent CLCer.

Just an update. I mention to them that I will probably be getting furniture like sofa, dining set, lights and ceiling fans from JB. As this will save us quite a substantial amt. Today, they went in to JB and help to source for us. They went to the furniture shop which we mention, and help us look at the design compatibilty, colors, price and quality etc. They even dig their storeroom for the dining set, as the displayed one mostly not suitable for our theme. Where in this world can you get this kind of service from an ID. Salute 5 times.

Thanks Lucia! I ask jeremy abt this, and he gave me the HDB licence which is like what you said. The associate company is call "S interior K design". Orh, so lucky i got them earlier. I requested for quote at end of dec, and met them the following wk. Yah, jeremy was rather quiet, as leslie is doing most of the designing talk. I also confuse who is the ID. I think leslie is the ID and jeremy is the project manager. They said that they are flooded with quote, but I dont see any new forumers contributing here other than me. Hope whoever just signed up with them can come in to contribute, and we can share some ideas in reno b4 reno start. Thanks!

I guess we are one of the few lucky one loh, maybe they just random select or select those that they think have potential for new design. Anyway, what was your quote like? I was thinking, if they also look at the potential amt spend on reno. keke I think that is something good loh, at least they dont give empty promises. Anyway, mine will be in charge by Jeremy, and so far he has been nice and prompt in my request, and I believe he should be able to take care of my new house.

Actually I cant find them listed in HDB as well. I am thinking is it becoz as a ID firm, they dont really need to have the reno licence as long as they engage in contractors that has it? They are only designing and doing the overall coordination only. I also forget to ask them. keke Lucia would you like to enlighten us?

haha..actually its up to individual..maybe his main interest is in designing and is satisfied with his current earning..so he will stick as per current. Expanding also involve bigger risk and more cash flow issue if didnt handle properly. Having his name as the company name may also make him famous faster..haha Actually i like the way the manage and handle things now..with him overseeing most of the things..so that it wont go wrong. I heard from them that they are flooded with quotation request. They even went sleepless night trying to quote as many. But each one of them are limited to a specific units to look after per mth, if not they will not be able to do a good work. Lucky I caught them earlier and got my reno confirm. They also dont intend to expand their manpower, as they are worried that their reputation will be spoilt by irresponsible ID. So there is only so much they can do each month.

Hi hi After some ID searching, I have finally settle with CLC leslie & jeremy last wk. Have requested a few quotation from different ID, some came back, some did not. Sat down and talk to a few, and the reason why we go for CLC is because they are 1 of the more creative one, able to click, offer better stuff like what was mention by other forumers with the same amount/lower. Happy with their service so far. Their idea are good and daring, it's only up to us if we dare to adopt. Went to select tiles last wkend, and hopefully 3D will be ready by this wk. They even throw in a better looking tiles with higher price for my 2 bedrooms, coz they say can use it for their future customers. haha Will comment more when reno start in March. May start a t-blog if I got the time, if not I will try to post something. Do look out for my post!
