Mr Anything replied to cacabi111's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Both are very established brands... So i think the cheaper one is good enough... -
Buffet Caterer
Mr Anything replied to Angelwrath's topic in Food Catering and Good Food In Singapore
Haven't got that experience before. My events normally ard 2hours plus. But 4 hours is pretty long to leave food exposed, in my opinion. =) -
actually, the mattress industry is a very sales oriented industry. A lot of the sales pitch is very intangible. Ultimately its how you feel when u sleep on it. Thinks like coil counts, latex or rubber or foam, how many layer of latex or how thick the latex, etc etc all dun really matter. Most mattress shops i think can bargain a bit. We tried and say that dunno this place that place i can earn more credit card points and all that. The salesgirl actually reduced the price to give us a "special discount" to match the difference. They earn on commission. So you can cham siong a little bit. You can say u choosing between 2 different brands like serta vesus simmons. If they are logical, they will try to earn a little less rather than not earn at all. =)

Seriously i dunno about their prices. They have not come back to me on the quote yet. Not sure if its coming at all. Haha. =) You can give them a try coz i too think highly of their design. Of the IDs i met, i think the ID i met was more creative and gave more inputs. But he scores low in my books in terms of responsiveness... Of course, CNY period, everybody is busy... =)

Resale Flat - Valuation
Mr Anything replied to velv's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Basically, the valuation is not reflected in the OTP (if i dun recall wrongly). Some points (from my understanding) to clear your doubts: 1) The price you pay (meaning total, including your COV) will not change. It will be as stated in the OTP. 2) The valuation report only needs to be valid (means not expired yet) during submission for first appointment. It can be already expired during your first appointment. 3) If prices going up, buyers pay less COV. But overall price still the same. For example: First Valuation is 100K Suppose agreed selling price is 150K (as in OTP) You need to pay, 50K COV + 100 from CPF (or HDB loan) If do revaluation and Second Evaluation increases to 120K Suppose agreed selling price is still 150K You need to pay 30K COV + 120K from CPF (or HDB loan) 4) You need to pay for the valuation report (approx $150-$200) =) Hope this helps. Happy New Year -
If u have decided to not pursue, then just forget it and enjoy your new year. I believe in kama, if the property agent really scam you, he will pay for his sins in different ways. Happy New Year =)

Is It Worth To Buy This Flat?
Mr Anything replied to lilithfiend's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
I think its generally okay to pay a bit more these features 1) Not too low floor (1-4lvl) 2) Corner units or Door-to-door units 3) Move-in condition and maybe 4) not facing sun plus windy (unless u scared dusty) I personally think 8k COV is okay, if u can sufficient liquidity for reno(if any) and furniture. Just checked the HDB web, the median COV for clementi is 13k. Other than the unit, remeber to check the neighbours, see got da-vinci draw on the wall or not. All personal opinion... =) -
Was just at my frens place for christmas celebration. I had some problem pulling out the PD door when i went to the loo. Not too sure if its just a one off occurrence. To be fair, theirs is a rented place and all guys staying there, so stuff are not so well maintain. Maybe other homeowners with the PD doors are okay. =) Happy New Year!

Mr Anything replied to Angelwrath's topic in Food Catering and Good Food In Singapore
Not sure if anyone tried Casserole. Price is average but food is pretty good in my opinion. They are used by my office quite often when we cater for events and for visitors also coz they are halal certified. I used them for my wedding. -
Is It Worth To Buy This Flat?
Mr Anything replied to lilithfiend's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
true true... =) Happy New Year!!! -
well, no harm trying to talk to the agent's company... nobody (or at least not me) really knows whether banking in the cheque means anything... jia you!!! dun give up yet... 10-20k not a small amt wor (at least to me)... I would at least try to forfit the agent's commission given the circumstance... There is this radio channel fm100.3 that talks about housing stuff every thursday (i think) late morning. Every week they invite this property expert to the radio show. You can try try to sms in or call in to seek his advise. Good luck!!! =)

Ah Soon
Mr Anything replied to juz_me's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
I realise fairness is relative in this issue... It depends which point of view you are looking from. There really is no right answer whichever way the money goes to... The disagreement can go on for another 20 pages and still there will not be a consensus. In my humble opinion, lets concentrate on how else to help the affected homeowners and not contribute to more grieve over the money issue. Hopefully my post is the last post on this money issue. Wishing all a brand new start to Year 2010!! HUAT AH!!! =) -

Can put a fake CCTV thingy too... might work... -
Just wondering, are you okay with the selling price? If not okay, then you really should call the agent's company or supervisor to sort it out. And do it quickly... Don't think too long...
