  1. i think your windows looks a bit pricey in my opinion...
  2. Got one ID quote me approximately $5/sqft for supereme AC5 laminate flooring... Another quote me approximately $4.6/sqft, but the type of flooring was not stated (I suspect is AC3 laminate) Another quote me approximately $4/sqft for Pergo flooring (AC3) Most of them like agar agar the cost. Never really see them calculate the actual area of my floorplan... The costing above is based on the overall price they give me divided by my own calculation of my desired floor area. Hope this helps. =)
  3. So AC5 is different? doesn't used the smart click/lock system??
  4. Got a question. My ID told me the joint of Pergo AC3 fits nicer than its AC5. I know AC5 is suppose to be better (in terms of quality) and of coz more expensive. I'm just wondering if the ID is trying to con me to use AC3 instead of AC5 (since we already fixed the quotation price on laminate flooring) What do you guys think?
  5. This area seems rather grey... Better keep the reply from HDB somewhere so if next time they change their mind, u can have the letter to back it up....
  6. From what i understand is cannot. Anything outside is property of HDB. This was what a housing agent once told me when i was hunting for a house as the home owner drilled some hooks to put up his "old school" blinds outside his window.

  14. when i was still hunting for a house, saw one house with cement screed. seems to have quite a number of cracklines... Owner said done up for 5 years...
  15. zhiz, Thanks! Got it. A bit confused about the haulage fee thou...
  16. Actually i got a different opinon. Instead of looking for a agent to help me (a buyer) source for a flat, i source for a flat myself and dealed with the seller's agent and also paying the seller's agent. My reasoning being, some sellers agents do not want to co-broke with your (buyer) agent. Means they dun want to sell to u if you have an agent. This happens when the sellers agent is confident of selling the flat and wants to earns both sides. This is especially true for "hot property" flats such as those high floors, good view etc etc. They will normally (i think) co-broke for flats that are harder to sell (low floors etc etc). End up, buyer's agent sometimes cannot get very good flats. They end up getting all the low floors or beside a main road type of flats. Hence i look for flats and deal with the sellers agent and also give him commission. Most of the time sellers dunno what their agent is doing. Seller's agent will tend to accept a lower price and earn both buyer and seller commission rather than accept a higher price but having to co-broke with buyer's agent. The seller's agent will probably put his personal gain on top of the seller. Of course this happens only when the property market is hot.
  17. Just wondering, for those into the modern classical theme, where are you guys going to get your furniture? I dun see a lot of shops selling such furniture. Anyone got any secret place to share?

  21. The blum system is not super essential. If u can afford it then change loh. If not, you can use the money for house warming or treat yourself to a nice dinner to celebrate the completion of your reno.
