Gohhuishi, you want to check out this coffeetable -Tavoflex from Hafele: It's so much better than boconcept which it allow adjustable height to the swing-up table tops. We only saw this recently in the magazine. And I think the brackets are much more steady compare to the boconcept as they are quite similar to blum

Maydream, we got them all from Foundry @ Purvis St

We added new items in the house during last weekend: Tomohiko Sato's "Rack your brain". It is like just an ordinary painting when people see it. But, there are some hidden hooks on it. The designer designed the rack with some hidden bars that can be used as the hook. The background picture design is also considered to make the gap around the bar unnoticeable. The Anglepoise lamp It comes in other colours too. The reason we bought it as we both love the pixar lamp,Luxo Jr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvCWPZfK8pI...ayer_detailpage

Hi Emobebe, Thanks. I think if I remember correctly is $1k++

Hi May Dream, I checked with my day maid she says her schedule is full, so she can't take up any more house.
-
Hi Advancer, we have the swing door and its behind the wall when I took the picture.
-
Hi ne0mesis, Thanks for the advise on keeping the white grouting white. I will let my day maid know. Well for the fan, the dyson fan is very noisy if we want to switch it to high speed. It sounds like an industrial fan in the room. Maybe you can try to check out Vornado.

To solve our limited working space in the kitchen, we add another foldaway table, but too bad it can't be longer as the bracket can't hold the weight: Fold away Open

Additional stuff to the house after moving in for 3months: We finally did up a tv console for our study room. Yesterday we went down to International furniture fair and manage to grab some gems (sample pieces that exhibitors don't want to ship back after the show) with our limited strength: A coffee table made from Peranakan tiles. Nice!~!~ Indonesia batik cushion Our first art piece

Functional furniture does not come cheap.
-
ha ha ha ha I think so too for the Tv console. But I guess it also timeless.

Thanks for the advise. But because both of us are allegic to dust and my husband is allegic to plant, so we are still thinking to whether to get them. The dining table is not extendable, its a full glass table. The extendable table in the kitchen is constructed by the ID. You can always get your contractor to do it.
-
I think is $1.7k+. I used to be $2k+ and we wanted the ID to constructed. But when we went that time the price is down by 30% so we decided to get it. You can check their stuff here: http://www.boconcept.sg/

Its at the top floor of paragon.

If it starts staining, its time to re-paint!!! That's what my ID told me. Here is a picture of my kitchen without tiles & window grill. It makes the whole kitchen brighten and windy without the grill.

I prefer low hanging lights for dining area. I will vote either big bulbs or big flowers.
-
The other side is the study area. Not forgetting the most pricey piece of furniture in the house, my husband ultimate dream chair - Herman Miller Aeron!!!! It is the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.

Our last area of the house - Study cum entertainment area. We decide to keep the renovation in this room minimal (just constructing a tv console cabinet) so that it gives us a flexibility to convert this room to a play room when we have our kids. One side is the entertainment area. I'm going to get the ID back to construct a TV console cabinet. I really can't stand the piling up of wires, scv boxes & gaming console on the floor. Another functional piece of furniture from BoConcept. Actually, we love to shop in BoConcept as they have quite alot of functional furniture and the prices are quite reasonable. I like to call it 3-in-1 sofa bed : Its a Sofa Its a lounge chair And, its a bed!!!
-
, same for us. My husband says that I keep kicking in bed. I claim that he is invading my space. Well, I guess have to do some sacrifice for the lack of space.

Ours is a queen-size bed. I don't think it can fit a king. The walking space is just enough for one. I think you have to think about next time when you or your wife is pregnant, it will be very difficult to get out from bed. This is what I have left with a queen-size bed: The walk space between the bed & divider The walk space between the bed & wardrobe Yeah, having a storeroom is important!! Don't hack away. Anyway queen-size bed is comfortable enough.
