  1. The guy finally came my place at 7.30 but he came with a black face, like I offended him or cause him to OT....totally unpleasant experience
  2. seems like a few others have bad experience with *spam I just bought a heater with them, the saleman called John is very friendly. Inititally we arranged for a 5-6 delivery time slot, John was kind enough to tell me that if I can't make it in time, he can ask the installation guy to come later. I was like thinking, so good service, next time I am going to buy all my appliance from them since the shop is quite near my house. On delivery day, I waited til 5.30, called John and he told me that the guy will come around 6. I asked if can earlier, he say try his best. At 6.10, the guy is still not here, so I called again and an auntie picked up the phone, she say she will call the installation guy again but she never returned call. At 6.25 pm, I called again and this super attitude Uncle picked the phone and tell me...I thought I told you the guy coming at 6-6.30, can't you wait awhile? Wah...I was quite shocked to receive this kind of service. I told him no one called me earlier but he replied saying the guy got many heater to install, not only your house. At 6.50, I am **** pissed that he is not here yet so I called again and he said, everyone wants to go home, including me, but my guy can't go home because he needs to install finish all the heater then can go home. I was like....what are you trying to say? Then he said if I can't wait then he can arrange for the guy to come another day....waste my 2 hours waiting for him and he want to waste more of my time the next day.....it's 7 pm already and that guy still has not shown up.....don't know how much longer I need to wait I WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO BACK TO BUY FROM THEM EVER AGAIN !
  3. Thanks Matrix0405 for the compliment Thanks Neubie, yup totally agree on your comment, save a big deal by not doing the flooring, kitchen cabinet, windows and reusing the heaters and aircons
  4. New Gas Stove New Cabinet Top New Toilet Door New Mirror, Sink and Accessories Retaining the previous Cabinet
  5. Our MBR Custom made Furniture are also in ! Wall Mount Feature Wall for our TV (with Book Shelf on top) Our MRB Wardrobe This is our sliding wardrobe for our MBR, on the right is a makeup wardrobe which we custom made to fill up the hole in the wall. The dressing table will be placed beside the makeup wardrobe. Makeup Wardrobe and future location of Dressing Table Guest Room Wardrobe (with a mini display cabinet on the left)
  6. All the Custom Made Furniture are coming in already ! For Living Room Wall Mount Feature Wall and TV Console Storage Cabinet with Cushion Matching Fan
  7. As there is fat aircon trunking running below, our bed frame is unable to lean against the wall for support. So, we create an additional feature wall to flush against the aircon trunking, so that the bedframe can lean against this new feature wall. Constructon of Guest Room Display Cabinet in progress Our Shoe Cabinet which will be wall mounted outside the house Another Custom Made Storage Cabinet in the Living Room, can act as additional seats as well as cover the uneven walls there
  8. Our New Lights Still not fully ready yet as the length will still have to be adjusted to our liking. Wall Lights MBR Wall Lights for Dressing Table Our False Ceiling
  9. Painting in progress For our Living Room, all the walls are painted white except for one side which will be painted apple green. We will match the wall colors with light brown custom made furniture to give it a nature feel. We also wanted the living room to blend well with our blue and white kitchen because we can see through the kitchen from the living room. For our MBR, we also have one side of the wall painted biege color which we will have our feature wall with wall mounted TV. The rest of the walls will be misty in color. Construction of MBR Wardrobe in progress
  10. Relocating the stove area Our Feng Shui Master told us the original stove area is not at a good location, so got to shift it away, so we shifted right and the new location is on top of the kitchen cabinet We removed the kitchen hood and our contractor helped extend the top kitchen cabinet by another layer. We also replace the top layer of the kitchen cabinet to a nicer marble top, which is also more suitable as it will house the stove in future. Retiling the old stove area Whole place is super dusty during renovation
  11. Plastering in progress Construction of false ceiling in progress Our new "wall" Previously, while the owner extended the living room into the kitchen, the wall tiles from the kitchen remained and we feel that its not very nice because its like half (kitchen)-half (living room) so we decided to cover it up with a plywood and paint over to make it look like a wall similar to the living room. Previous look - see extreme right of the photo to catch a sight of the tiled-wall
  12. After taking over the house, this is what it looked like. The Living Room - quite a weird color combi of pink and blue MBR - Extra space when store room was relocated, but "hole in the wall" is quite a waste of space as we can't get furniture off the shelf to line against the wall (there is an aircon trunking running below) Another "hole in the wall" in the Guest Room, with ugly and bulky aircon trunking running below. The texture of the wall around the whole house is like that, can see the outline of the brick, thus plastering is required.
  13. Dear Friends, After spending a long time looking around for resale flat and at the same trying our luck at BTO, my wife and I are very happy to finally buy our first "asset" early this year. Our renovation kickstarted around May period when we collected our keys and it is almost completed now. Here's blogging about the whole reno process, which we experienced excitement, fun, stress, frustration, satisfaction and enjoyment This was what it's like when we went for viewing. The Living Room The Kitchen The storeroom is shifted to the kitchen and part of the kitcken (aligned with the storeroom) forms an extension of the living room, thus we have a bigger MBR, longer hall but smaller kitchen. The MBR & Toilet
  14. Thanks Martin for the good advice ! Nimm12, I told my contractor that this black line gives a bad impression of poor worksmanship then he told me that if poor worksmanship, just have to slide ur finger/ palm along the edges and if you are cut....then its poor worksmanship....dunno how true is that
  15. Dear All, Our carpenter just did up our TV feature wall with a ledge and he pasted the laminate design we wanted on the protruding ledge. However, we realise that between the laminates at a 90 degree angle, there is a ugly black line....our carpenter told us its normal and nothing can be done to cover this line..... Wonder if there is any other ways to conceal this line, else its quite obvious especially its at eye level..... Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks and have a good weekend ahead !
  16. Hi Bro, Thanks for your comment I just bought a 3 burner Electrox Gas Stove too, have to agree the price is quite reasonable as compared to other brands like Brandt.....Mine is a glass hob so it looks nice and modern to me as well....the 3 burners are evenly spaced so the chances of using all at the same time is higher (as compared to those that are close together, will not be able to utilise if the pans/ woks are big in size)....just not too sure about the flame intensity....the sales ppl told us that Brandt has got a better flame intensity....whereas both my mum and mum-in-law are using TURBO brands
  17. Anyone is using Electrolux Gas Stove currently? Can share your experience? Thanks !
  18. Hi Kain, Thanks alot for this good piece of info....yes we have been there to try it out....but they feel quite the same....though I think PU is slightly softer and more comfortable Cheers !
  19. Hi Friends, I have a few questions on syn leather sofa which hope u guys can help to enlighten I went one place looking for sofa and the salesperson told me that PU leather is not a good grade of syn leather, it will peel off faster than the normal syn leather....but the salesman at another shop say PU is actually very good grade and wun peel off easily and require minimal maintenance. Anyone has bought PU leather sofa before can share their experience? Also, the other type of syn leather refers to PVC? Thanks.
  20. Hey zanntan, Congrats on getting your flat, which area of AMK is your new house at? Mine is a Queen Size bed, I bought it from Dunlop
  21. Ohh...that is certainly a good idea....but provided the dining area is in the kitchen.....if its in the living room, the view will be blocked by the storeroom.....actually my current place the hob is alr installed at the location of your design....so wun be moving it to the counter....thanks for all the good suggestions given
  22. Ohh...so this counter needs to be custom made rite? Thanks for the good suggestion, I got another idea, how abt building some shelving or display on the back of the wardrobe.....aka the side that faces the study table.....i thought it will take away the dullness of the back of a wardrobe (usually facing the wall) and add more theme to the study area
  23. Hey Sarah, Thanks for the sketch up ya, its nice....actually the living room design is something like what I had in mind....I also thought that the dinning table can be placed in my living room so that I can have a bigger kitchen (which is already made smaller by the storeroom) Btw, wats the L-shaped table in the kitchen? Is it like a counter? I like that....can place all the dishes there before serving....haha Is the cabinet in the master bedroom too big? Its like in line with the edge of the door.....on one hand I thought it offer a good partition between master bedroom and study area....on the other hand....not sure if it will be out of the way....like once u walk into master bedroom, there is a "obstacle" in front of u....
  24. Hi Demonyi, Thanks for your good advice....btw the toilet is at the other side....nearer to the TV console..... Thanks for the good suggestion too, will look ard for that t blog
  25. Thanks VoDoo for the good suggestion I am thinking of this idea....but dunno if the wardrobe (normal/ not built in) will be out of the way in my master bedroom. The idea is to use the wardrobe as a partition between the study area and the main sleeping area....wat do u guys think?
