  1. haha...aiya...been busy mah. Busy cleaning up my own mess I've made of the new place hohohohoho...lots of stuff just thrown all over the living room when we moved in. Now still in the midst of clearing up the clutter and waiting for furnitures to come in (yes, still not yet furnished ). Will be away in Shanghai for most of July so hopefully will find some time to setup the t-blog in Aug. Now headache with wedding preparations hohohoho. marshmallow, congrats on your new place ah!
  2. By the way...you're referring to the vege compartment at the bottom right? The one with the humidity control? I don't see any lines though.
  3. Yeap! So far so good leh. Very cold
  4. Line? Hmmm...didn't notice that so far. I'll check again when I'm home tonight.
  5. I'm shopping for one too now. However, I've yet to see 42" models for the new C series (2010 models). I'm currently eyeing LA40C650L1M...anyone know the prices?
  6. Errrm...as far as price difference go, you gotta compare relatively similar series between the two brands. I've got Legrand Mallia series installed for all my power points and light switches in the entire house. There are a few exceptions of power points that I've opted for the Clipsal KB series (cheaper) installed in obscure and non-visible places From my own experience and from what I've heard, Legrand Mallia series switches might have the tendency of not being able to align the gangs properly upon installation...not all...maybe one or two. But so far, I haven't got much problems with it. Cheers!
  7. haha...wait long long...till i settle down at home. Home network not even setup yet
  8. Gain City Marina branch. Bought it as part of a package. If I've got the numbers right, got the washer for $500 after package discounts. Not that cheap if compared to Mega Discounts store I think...but I got better discounts for the fridge and air-cond hehe.
  9. Hmm..I think I know which part of the washing cycle you're referring to. Is it during the short interval when water is flowed in occasionally and the tub turns approx 30 degrees at a time clockwise? This part of the cycle is when the washer is measuring the exact amount of water level required for the current load in the tub and yes, I do hear the constant "kong kong" or rather sounds like soft "tong tong" sound for around 15-20 seconds. I do agree that this behaviour isn't present in most of the other brands that I've come across and used in the past. Personally, it doesn't really bug me at all. Isn't that noisy either if you ask me. As for the tub spin to dry off clothes, it is relatively quiet to me.
  10. Could you elaborate more on how it's being noisy? I don't find it noisy at all from the point water starts to flow in, during washing, spin cycle etc. I've been on an old Samsung before switching to the SF-85KJS, I find the spinning is much quieter relatively. And best of all, it doesn't "dance"!!!
  11. Errr...why ah? Encountered any problems particular to this model or this series? I'm using the 8.5kgs model.
  12. Haha...moved in a few days back. Stuff still hogging all the space in the living hall...messy We opted for a step-down coz we've installed shower screens for the bathrooms. Basically a step-down would usually mean the floor level of the shower area is lower than the other side of the shower screen (which commonly refers to the dry area). IMHO, it's nice to have Cheers!
  13. haha...no choice lah...tight budget...prioritize loh now shopping starts for furniture liao! haha
  14. Wah...so many posts since I last logged in. My Mio is giving me headaches...sigh. Moving to a new house is giving me even MORE headaches! haha.
  15. May I ask how much is it roughly?
  16. Have we got a confirmation from daydream that the deposit returned to her to is from Henry or this Philip? And have we got a confirmation from daydream as to when exactly this happened and how long has it been since Henry's first initial reaction to her when she informed Henry of her circumstances? Hmmm...did daydream tell you that Henry "pushed her away" when contacted in the ---> beginning <--- ? Or maybe she just didn't say much of the actual details? Whatever happened to listening to both sides of the story and judge for yourself? I wonder if she would still come in to explain these questions. Or maybe just heck care since the deposit's been returned regardless from whom? Weird, eh?
  17. Hi pcomaster, PM sent (I'm not Simon...I'm just being kaypoh )
  18. Hmm..."presume". Did you ask for a namecard perhaps prior to discussing further about your reno request? Okay so my understanding is that you've already paid your deposit to this guy called Philip. And as I understand from your statement above, you have yet to make a police report since and you're about to make one now. Got a question though...when exactly did this happen, daydream? And since you've observed that the invoice used is ID Note's official invoice, have you asked Henry if Philip is/was his employee at the time when you signed up and paid the deposit? You mentioned that Henry insisted the guy "ran away"...so I guess he was an employee. Have you asked Henry if he has made his own police report? Cheers!
  19. Hmmm...from what I've seen last year, sales during GSS aren't much better compared to the year-end sales. But I did notice better bedding discounts at Robinsons during the GSS period Cheers!
  20. Hmmm..didn't realize that even with a valid reno permit for hacking during the first few days, HDB could still ask you to stop anytime as soon a neighbour ain't happy 'bout it. But don't worry, dude...hacking would only a couple more days right?
  21. Haha bro...I know your kitchen still shiny shiny one
  22. I'm doing all white. Glossy white mostly for carpentry and wall tiles, matte white for floor tiles. It's definitely not gonna be easy. Kinda unrealistic to expect everything to stay white after a few years of usage. Bound to happen IMHO. Still finding out how to properly care for glossy white surfaces now. Cheers and good luck!
