Just started my reno for my semi D last week total contractor quoted me $338K all in -redo 7 toilets -change marble flooring on 1st storey -hack wall for dry kitchen -erect wall for maid's room -concrete top for wet kitchen -concrete partition from 1 big room to 2 bedroom -electricity works with 3 caset air con and 4 split air con -hack and redo the exterior flooring -landscape with fish pond and water feature -change all grilles and sliding doors -change all doors including main door

I also have a very bad experience reconstructing my 2350sqft corner terrace from 3 storey to 3.5storey also extend rear and side,with my first contractor ran away with more than 100k. Second contractor loss 30k deposit, between the period of 2009 to 2013. Till recently I have not choice but to sell my house to a developer. My experience is that if you do A&A, reconstruction work you don't need bomb shelter unless you rebuild the house which mean you demolish the whole house. 2.5 storey mean 2 complete storey but the 3rd storey can only cover 30% or 50% roof.

Hi, Fren I hv experience from my sis just done her reconstruction 2yrs ago, she got 3 contractor to quote from there compare their quotation then pick the most recentable one (contractor knew there will multi quotation) do u think is a good ideal? How far hv u proceed? How long it takes to get all the approvals?

Hi dearest friends, This is my first time posting. Just bought a corner terrace about 20yrs old, need A&A but do not know how to go about it. To engage a architect or interior designer? If architect can i get at least 2 of them to make a comparison with no obligation before commit. Anybody can help me with the above matter, any one has cheap and reliable architect to recommend.
