  2. Hi Arial ; i check with some installation ppl , it much better this way. BTW when purchase oven from Mayer , theres free cooking class ( 2 cooking class ) . Its held in ther showroom. I went a few times and tk a look , standing outside . Remember once install the oven remember to pre heat the oven using top and bottom heat with fan for 20 mins with temp. 200 degree. ( is to burn away the moisture ) And must do this once a month to prevent it from tripping . But doing tis remember to tk out all the trays and racks and manuels book happy baking this oven comes with a timer so when it alarm you remember to off the oven as if not it will keep on baking . ( It will not cut off the temp and the program ) . Clean the outer oven with a wet cloth than clean it with a dry cloth . to prevent water marks . Can use 3M polish to clean once a week too. :)Giving a shine finish kitchen matters

There're hood mostly is chimney hood. I think Geyland area those selling sink and taps shop gt display it . so far there in the market for a yr or 2 , so far not much feedback . they mostly deals with kitchen structures like hinges and racks kitchen matters
  5. Hi noobhouse , sorry for the wrong infor , i thought is hood and hob installation. For power point installation i check with certain brand supplier , they don't do it . And if done by electrician , it depends on the area . sorry for the wrong infor:( kitchen matters
  6. Hi Noobhouse . for new projec or home ren. when purchase of new hob and hood , your designer or carpentar ppl will install for you , if i not mistaken, is in the package renovation. If you call the supplier to install , there may be charges . depending on the hood whether is a chimney hood or slimline and whether need to cut any funnel (Chimney only) . You may check with your renovation ppl. If is for replacement , when delivery the ppl will install for yu but theres may be a ee incurr . kitchen matters
  7. Hi Mummy Lynn ; you may try Bosch , Ariston . they have Island hood. Kitchen matters
  8. Hi Arial ; it depend on the oven model and brand . Some brand does not have ventilation hole at the front ( just below the panel and above the door ) . But what i see most oven in the market now have what they call ( Tangential Ventilation - when the oven reaches a certain temp. it will blow out hot air to cool down the oven ) .Which brand you purchase ? As for the glass stove above the oven , if the oven have tangential ventilation is better and if the stove below theres a wood plank on it ( so when your oven heats up ) the transfer on heat will not be that bad . As for the PUB gas pipe on the back of the oven , is quite normal as most of my friends have this problem too . But they purchase those oven with ventilation ones - on the safe side . kitchen matters
  9. Hi Lazydevil; The oven ventilation comes from the front ( tanential ventilation ) . it cools downs your oven once it reachs a certain temp. As as long theres a wooden partition between the oven and the fridge is ok , but do leave some space away from the fridge to the wooden partition as when open the door fridge you need some space otherwise it ill scratch the door. Is good to have a base for the fridge too as when washing the floor your fridge will not get wet. Note: When del. of fridge dont on the power , clean the fridge and you may use charcoal to store inside first as it will absorb the smell leave it rest for a day as the compressor need to be stable than on it So the smell (new product smell ) will not be there - remember to take out the charcoal aftr that Remember to inform your designer that the oven wire is 0.9 meter long as they need to run the wire in with a connector kitchen matters
  10. Hi Melvin ; The oven comes with 5 cooking programs , and the litres is 56 litres . So far some ppl complains about their finishing is not that good. Other wise is ok as the oven comes with basic features of cooking . Is it for brand new or replacement ? As for thistype of features you may consider Ariston FB 51.2 IX or Tenkei (New) TEK 61 IX . Kitchen Matters
  11. Hi Atlantis2267 ; what i see should not be a problem , the width of the cabinet can fit the oven is only the inner cabinet depth need to measure . And the other factors is the powerpoint . If theres no powerpoint near by you may have to re run the powerponit . And once the oven is in , you could construct a small area to store your stuff too . I suggest that to visit your place to measure and to give you a better view of the outcome. Cos minor corners or area is very important - I could go up and take a look and advise you on the outcome . If the current cabinet below the stove theres a plug near by , would be super kitchen matters
  12. Hi Ivan_sg i heard Viva Nueva Pte Ltd @ 496 Sims Ave the prices not bad too and their service is also quite good . Kitchen matters
  13. Hi Wind30 ; Brandt energy efficient A , built in oven litres 54 litres , but the plus point is that it have 4 glass door panels , Cod Open Space oven by Ariston is 70 litres and efficient class A too but i heard that their after sales is not so good. The Ariston do comes with 10 cooking programs / as for Brandt comes with 9 programs Ariston use cooking features to describe their cooking programs which i find it abit confuss / Brandit is using traditional cooking programs as their cooking indicators . And for Brandt the Display panel for the programs is larger than Ariston . The Brandt comes with turnspit and cleaning the inner oven door is easily . So both got it plus point and bad points . And both currently is the same price . Kitchen matters But as long as you pre heat the oven once a month with 220 degree and for 20mins to burn away the moisture ( the oven will not breakdown so easily) Kitchen Matters
  14. Hi Wind30 Aristonis from Italy , and most of the Oven is made in Italy . For Pyrocltic oven you may consider Bosch , Electrolux It seems not bad too . Kitchen Matters
  15. Hi Lily , Is quite a new brand in the market , and so far i check around there not much feedback too I do ask certain clients and interior designer , they do say the same thing so far so good I feel that all most important is the service ( back up service ) kitchen matters
  16. Hi Atlantis2267 , Is there other space around ? Cos if install an oven below the Glass stove is not so advisable cos when you heating or baking or grilling , the heat may transfer up to the stove causing it to contrack and expand . It may crack and does the surrounding area got power supplier ( cos if no you will need to re run the wire . ) The 2nd option is to construct a stand alone oven ( just like your current one but with drawers below and rollers ) so you can move around . Actually think abot it , you can use back your current oven box ( cherry colour / $120 ) but just construct a cabinat to hold the box , so the oven will be in the middle and install rollers Just use back the same colour or change the colour to suit your kitchen design rather than giving up your current kitchen cabinet space storage for an oven which in time you may need more storage for other cooking stuff If need any design , do let me know i could sent you some ideas. kitchen matters
  17. Hi Satinchris ; your built in oven cabinet should have some space away from the fridge cos when oven is doing any grilling or baking it may heat up the fridge and may sweat. causing the fridge to work more harder , and it may effect the compressor. But i think your current design should have some gap ( cos the fridge will have some distance away from the oven cabinet cos when open the fridge door it will not scratches the cabinet . cos the fridge also need ventilation . Don worry , check with your interior designer regards the space , He or she should have left some distace . Don worry BTW wat brand you purchase ? remember to Pre heat the oven once install and to take out all the racks and trays and manuel books too wait get burn ( it happen before to a friend of mine ) kitchen matters
  18. Hi Joko , sorry for the late reply ; busy with some projects Yes i'm in Kitchen Business as my love of Kitchen appliance runs down to 10 years but still more to learn Still learning and sharing with friends with ideas and more I'm more a consultant Saw today Straits Time paper (under home section regards abt renovation that never complete the job and doing half way ) BTW where's your oven planning to install ? if beside a fridge , must leave some gap. and if below a stove , is best dont use Glass top as is not suitable . Kitchen Matters
  19. Hi lazydevil; you may visit www.tenkeiworld.com to view TEP 830 G hob and is retail at $469.00 As for the Oven FD 61.1 ICE , i could check for you for the stock as is Discont soon , Great choice on this Oven as glass look matchs well with most colour cabinet Oh almost forget , you plan to put your oven below the stove ? or on the cabinet ? Must leave some space if the fridge is near the oven as it may sweat the fridge . Cos if the oven is below the stove (cos the stove is glass) is not so advisable as it may effect the hob sorry for the late reply as busy lately Kitchen Matters
  20. hi Lily; i would suggst a few brands example as Ariston , Indesit , Tenkei ( new brand in the market ) , Electrolux . As for Cuizino OV 728 or OV 738 it comes with 8 cooking programs . Certain programs may not be use at all but is good to have You may consider Tenkei ( New Brand in the market ) Is having promotion at $499.00 , 6 cooking programs , Timer & Temperature knob . Ariston FB51.2 IX basic oven is having promotion at $629 (but just abit of after sale service cos gt alot of bad feedback) I feel that when chosing for an oven , check the door hinges ( if opening is lose , think twice ) and when closing the oven door the rubber gasket surrounding the door must be thick enough as i notice certain oven door when closing it bring out a loud band - cos the rubber gasket is thin in thickness . Go for your need is aother choice *** Choice a oven with turbo fan is important as the temperature is being distrubute evenly. And must have ventaliation from the front as it assit to cool down the oven so your kitchen cabinet will not peer off so easily Just suggest that when using double grill is advise to use Max. Temp to cook the dishes. Cos if use this program and the temp. is not set to that , it may not cook well or grill well Doing cookies advise to use baking tray and not the dripping tray that the oven comes with it ( as the dripping tray is for oil drip when grilling ) Always inform my friends is to heat up the oven once a month at top and botton heat for 20 mins. ( Temp. 200 degree ) - to burn away the moisture Sorry for the late reply Kitchen matters
  21. hi hows your renovation ? kitchen matters
  22. hi i think all is not bad , but i see Electrolux oven as good buy and design for Ariston looks good but their after service i gt alot of feedback that is not that good so sad , as for Brandt the design is good and lastly Rinnai - simple . For oven as long as you pre heat the oven monthly it will last quite a long time . and for cleaning always use a damp cloth to clean and whip with a dry cloth to prevent it from having water marks kitchen matters
  23. For FD 61.1ICE is going to discon't soon and the difference are as follows; FD61.1ICE is 56 litres as for FZ62C.1IX is 58 litres Both comes with 6 cooking programs . Tangential ventilation triple layer glass door , 1 tray and 2 grids BUT the differnce are : *** FZ62C.1IX is auto cut off ( it means that once alarm or the timer end it will cut off the temperature and the whole oven operation will stop ) BUT for FD 61.1ICE it only comes with a minute timer ( it means it will only alarm u but you have to off the oven yourselves - In short to say it will not cut off the operation ) *** FZ62C.1IX comes with 3 self clean panels ( left , right , back of the cavity. ) tis will absorb the oil while doing grilling , it will only minimize your cleaning as the bottom of the oven you still need to clean . And after some time you need to change the panels ( i think it cos $100 plus ) once it drills oil cos the panel is full of oil and need to be change ( cannot wash as it will spoilt.) I find that both oven got its pro and cons , most will chose FZ62 but for design look i think FD61.1ICE look sleek or you may also consider Electrolux EOB31002X Oven @ $699.00 ? I went to the store just now and saw the oven look sleek too As Electrolux also comes with 3 burnes glass top *** As DZG 830 G does not have stock now as for the shippment theres no advise and FZ62C.1IX also no stock and shippment to be advise and lastly FD61.1ICE discont soon. You may also consider TEP830 Glass hob by Tenkei , is a new brand on the market and their oven is very basic too . TEK 62 at $459.00 ( 6 cooking programs , stainless steel oven ) btw wheny ou need all the products For oven actually with or with auto cut off timer is ok as now i notice that home owners dont use the cut off time as they prefer to use their own cooking time as the temperature will be maintain and you could do multi rack . For self clean panels if you grill often is a plus but some home owners find that after some time the panels gt patchs on it and doesnt look nice on it . kitchen matters
  24. Hi Zhiz . try using top and bottom with fan , heat up for 20 mins , and for 200 degree , after which open the door ajar to cool down . if not , try clean the inner oven first (but must use a dry cloth to wrip dry) than pre heat again. For all stainless steel , once you clean with wet coyhs must always use a dry cloth to wrip dry ( to prevent it from having water patches . kitchen matters :)
