Hi I think that steamer should be built in on top of the oven but than your built in oven should be lower as the opening of door of the steamer will be easily . If put too high you may have problem opening the door of the steamer . KM
-
Hi You may consider getting a built in oven as cooking space is larger than a built in microwave . As for built in microwave you need to also consider the cooking space (inner) and the location as if built in you need to put around your body wrist area as if you out higher , when open of the door and taking out food will be a problem . As most oven now also come with microwave function you may consider it too . KM

Hi , For the position of oven is all depends on the design , the hob (Glass or stainless steel) , and location for safety. Some people put beside the fridge ( Is call Tall unit cabinet ) but you need at least 10 to 15 cm allowance between the fridge . And now most oven now comes with a features that blow out hot air so your cabinet will not be hot and cool the oven down . And for some the put right below the stove is because space limited . As long the hob is stainless steel and not tempered glass is ok but the sad point is while your cooking and baking at the same time hot air will travel to your legs . And if there's children around must be carful. For tall units is easily to open in standing position and some standing units cabinet can even construct a pull out tray or drawer to put your hot stuff. if still feel uncomfortable you may consider building a island unit or a built in oven box (which you need to put on a stable table. ) Thanks KM

Hi , Most construction of power point is behind the oven (mostly top right or left. ) But now most construction built a power point outside and run a wire into the cabinet than use a connector to joint the wire from the oven (which is not advisable) . As most cabinet is slightly more than 600mm as oven in built depth is not yet 600mm so is quite safe. My oven plug is inside the cabinet so is ok KM

Hi AngryGrome ; Go for oven that have 5-6 cooking programs , Example Top and Bottom heat , Top and Bottom heat with fan , Grill , Grill with fan , bottom heat When installing an oven is best to consider a few stuff ++ Putting an oven on a standing body position for easy acess or to prevent children from touching ++ Avoid putting an glass hob direct on top an oven as the heat may damper the glass hob ( Not advisable ) ++ Try avoid putting near a fridge ++ Be sure have the electrical point near the oven as most oven now wire comes with 0.9 meter ( not advisable to joint wire to wire ) Cheers KM

Hi orion72 , No worries , Just remember to pre heat your oven once a month ( using top and bottom heat with fan and temp around 220 degree for about 15 to 20 mins. To protect the heating element. KM

Hi Bhua ; The effectiveness of a steam oven is greater than steaming steamer on the hob. Steam ovens retain vitamins and mineral salts in the food. You can steam separate food types together with no flavour contamination, so vegetables and puddings can be steamed together simultaneously in one appliance making steam ovens convenient and economic. The steam cooking function works by using accessories with telescopic runners, a full-width stainless steel steam tray with glass lid that is filled with up to 400ml of water and then placed in the cavity. so sorry for the delay KM

Hi sgdstuff, For cut out size , you may consider : W : 558mm , H : 585mm , D:600mm Above is for 60 cm built in oven and the above is cut out size . KM
-
Hi Bhua ; so sorry for the late reply , Been busy doing some projects . BTW Blombery is by Casa agent . They have done quite a few projects in Spore and there're prices are quite EX . For purchasing an oven , go for your needs , as some of my clients or friends purchase some ovens but did not use the feature at all or some just go for looks - i mean design . As most Built In ovens comes with Min. 5 cooking programs which can do wonders . I found out that Ariston FZ series ovens are quite good , Model is FZ 61.1 IX as it comes with 6 cooking programs , ventalation ( which will cools down the oven once it reach a certain Temp. as it will protect your cabinet Or you may consider Brandt or Bosch . KM
-
Hi Kitchenshopper sorry for the later reply ; FZ 61 IX comes with 6 cooking programs ( top & bottom heat - cake , Top and Bottom heat with Fan - cookies , Top heat - small portion of meat , top heat with Fan - Grill large portion of heat , bottom heat - Pizza , back element - pastry . Once alarm you need to off the oven as its not a Auto cut off timer and the inner panels you need to clean as its not self clean panel . But overall it not quite bad as its does comes with all the basic feature of an oven The front panel is also anti finger print proof. And Mayer Marketing comes with 2 baking lesson free for any oven purchase . As for design look is quite nice too. Can consider this model KM KM

Hi Flatster ; I heard of them quite often and by the way do they sell bathroom products ? I looking for a brand M.MIQ as i heard that their Kitchen Mixer are good , Very solid . Do you have their Phone Number / thanks alot KM

Hi Hannz ; sorry for the late reply . Oven purchase , some ppl go for design , features , after sales service . But a Basic oven with 5 cooking programs ( Top and Bottom Heat , Top and Bottom heat with Fan , Top Heat , Double Heat , Double heat with Fan ) is enough But now theres extra feature like bottom heat , back element and some comes with pre set recipts As for AMP , Most Oven comes with 13 AMP but some are Higher . Rinnai and Fujoh Brand stove are quite good . As for Hood , you need to consider whether you need a slimline hood ( as on top the hood you could do cabinet ) But chimney hood , it will take up space ( But the suction power is strong ) Go for 3 burners as 1 is triple ring for heavy cooking , 1 single medium flame and 1 small single flame ( for slow cooking ) Must check whether the hob using Batt ignitation or electrical as some brands are different . ( if us electrical ignation you need to inform you carpentor as he need to run a point ) For Glass Hob , theres alot of things you need to take not , dont put heavy stuff on the grid , dont cook for long hours but is easy to clean the surface . Try put the oven on standing position as it will be easy to open and close. Look for cut off timer oven is possible as it will off the oven once the timer reaches KM

Hi Cutehoneydrew, sorry for the late reply . Ariston Oven do comes with Top and Bottom heat with Fan and without Fan . I could see that Ariston the new model is quite good . You could go for it as to maintain an oven is to heat up the oven once a month ( to heat up the element ) to prevent it from tripping the home. And Mayer also provide Extended warranty and most of all they also provide 2 free baking lesson after Oven or Moxer purchase KM
-
Hi Happy, sorry for the late reply , It may be due the the inner panel or Elements . As seldom on the machine it may give out abit smoke ( i actually saw an Built in oven give out the smoke too , as the client dont on for a long time. ) But i suggest to service it as is not advisable to do it without a service man around. KM

Hi Chica ; sorry for the late reply ; The Traditional Pulsed Function is cooking with the upper and lower heating element wit the fan . ( But not all brandt models come with it . KM
-
Hi Prissypris ; sorry for the late reply For Glass hob is easy to clean the surface , but you need to take note a few stuff ; * Dont cook for long hours as it may affect the glass top * Dont put heavy pot on the grids as the pressure of heavy pots may effect the glass top * dont put hot pots on the Glass top direct * When install the Glass Hob , dont use silcon to stick the hob on the kitchen top as glass hob will expand and contract to to heat . Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
kitchen matters replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Hi Flatster, i heard their service is good . is their shop at Jalan besar ? They also sell Btahroom products ? KM -
Hi A_iz , sorry for the late reply ; You may consider a 5 cooking programs that comes with Top & Bottom heat for cake , Top & bottom heat with fan for cookies , single grill - small portion of meat ( save electricity ) , double grill for grilling large portion of meat , double grill with fan - for grilling a whole chicken as the fan will distrubute the heat evenly and bottom heat for pizza Most oven use 13 AMP plug , so cater a point for the oven ( Dont share with other appliances ) As for self clean oven theres 2 type ( one that you need to change the panels after some time , the other is that it will burn the oven at a certain Temp. and the oil will become ash . Is good to have but some ppl still prefer to clean the oven themselves Most oven comes with tangential ventilation and is quite important as once the oven reaches a certain Temp. it will blow out the hot air as the inner cabinet will not be hot Digital Timer theres pros and cons if spoilt , the replacement maybe EX but when cooking you could see the cooking time and Temp. Auto cut off is a plus as once the cooking time finish it will cut off the power but if the food is not cook well it may also affect the food as once it cut off the power , the Temp. will degress , thats why i notice some chef in Spore use manuel oven as the Temp. is always there and if cook alot of tray of food , they will not worry that the Temp will degress But not to worry most auto cut off timer oven theres either a program or a function you can set to manuel KM

Hi Divineparadise , You may see online ( quite tired actually ) or you may go to some dealers or department store to gather the different brands of catoglue first ( As not all brands and models are display at one place - space , $$$ etc ) So gather all the different brand and shortlist from there than discuess with your family memebers , or ask your friends of the models and brand , get some feedback , shortlist to at 3 models or brands than head down to the place that have the display After which , check the price and offer price of course than BINGO . you have an oven you like . Once purchase , dont look at the price again as electrical products price is like stock market go down very fast as it will discont after some time KM

Hi Divineparadise ; You may view at Harvey Noram at Millieum walk , As i heard from my pals that their display quite alot ( Oven ) Happy shopping KM
