  1. Hello Everyone, I have been trying to find a stainless stell sink, which would be functional for our needs. Have 2 partitions with at least one partition more than 400mm in length and 180mm or more in depth. I feel sink is one of the most important aspects of kitchen design and thus am trying to ensure I get something which will hold utensils properly and allow ample space for cleaning things. Has someone seen any model in the market that has these types of specifications or is using one? Budget approx 400 SGD. I have tried Blanco and Franke models in the market they dont seem to have it .. what other brands in singapore can try (I am trying to stay away from chineese brands). Thanks in advance, Lucy
  2. Hi, In a twist of things I have lost all faith in my current ID / Contractor. He has been trying to cheat me at every corner and it has come to a point that both me and my partner have lost faith in him. So, we would like to start afresh. Can someone please recommend a reliable (and honest) contractor? We know what we want and so we don't necessarily need to engage an expensive ID. A reliable person (contractor) will do. Most of the work is in kitchen and toilets. Will genuinely appreciate your help. Lucy

  4. Hi, I have decided NOT to buy from them. Multiple reasons have led me to this decision: a) Found the sales staff though friendly and non-pushy (which is good for my shopping experience) but also the type that was shifting all responsibility to the boss (who is a female with some serious attitude). b) I was so impressed with their product that I went to their showroom not just once but thrice (everytime with credit card ready for swap). But, trust me everytime I went there I couldnt take the card out. Well how would you when they say half the things on the final product can be attributed to nature of wood. Be it different colours, chipping of wood (yes shipping is not an acceptable defect), color fading on edges (yes at the time of delivery itself). I am not an expert on wood but this somehow didn't go down well with my left side of the brain. c) Reading other people's experience and combination of above two factors I would humbly suggest anyone at least not to fall for their 15% offer trap by paying fill amount. They taught me in school not to loose negotiation power by paying everything. I won't be surprised if the delivery guy shrugs off my complaints on quality and says "it's wood!" Best of luck with your purchase. Cheers
  5. Yes true that's why asking people desperately for responses here. I have read those threads earlier. Did a search on google for renotalk and unikhome. Not much coming up for recent history. Anyone, any reviews? Cheers,
  6. Hello Everyone, Has anyone bought stuff (esp. beds and drawers of chest) from Unikhome? They have a shop at IFC and Plaza. I have following specific questions: a) They claim that their beds are from mahogany wood. Anyone who has experience can share if the claim is true (at 400-600 SGD range it sounds tough to believe .. ) b) How is the overall quality of their bed frames and chest drawers? I am buying almost 3k worth of stuff from them. c) Biggest concern: They have a promotion with DBS card (where in you get 15% discount of the list price) but then you need to pay everything (yes all the money) in advance itself. Is that normal for this shop? Has anyone done it and regretted it? Concern is obvious that I loose any power once the goods delivered don't match to satisfaction. Of course, if the history of shop is credible then I can still think about this risk. So, need advice people !! It's kind of urgent as their shipment container is already full and at best it will take me 2 months to get my stuff. (again another issue but bearable till january end). Advice people!!
  7. It's not the actual paint but the spray or stain finish .. I am 100% sure it's changeable. Will be great to know the cheapest way to do it though :-)
  8. Hi, My new appartment has built-in wardrobes, which are white in color. I want to change them to walnut color. I was told that they would need to be spray painted. (they aren't laminate). Can someone please tell me from where to get it done without burning a hole in pocket. 1 ID I asked gave same quote as what a new wardrobe will cost me. I don't want to dismantle it as it's made out of wood and not laminates + plywood. Ideas please !! Many thanks in advance,
