to give jael the credit, she came across as being sincere even in our second meeting because she provided us with 3d drawings (first meet-up was to discuss on what's the style we wanted and other requirements) when alot of other IDs dont, the most you will get is a quotation and layout. That, to me is already putting in alot of effort. Design-wise, i seriously think tt it takes more than a meeting or so to determine if a person is making "effort" I am in IT industry so i know the amount of effort it takes to generate 1 drawing....so i think i have to give credit to Jael for her efforts and like what lucia mentioned, she travelling to meet up with us at suitable location when she's free to do so. I think we have to be fair towards IDs too, their willingness to travel and producing 3d drawings is a BIG BONUS, esp when we cant confirm on the deal.

hi babymushy....from what i understand, contractors will only follow what you want, they dont provide the idea behind the design. Ie, you give them the colors you want on your cabinets and they will do it for you. U engage an ID when u want input of ideas to the general theme u would like, ie: modern, cottage etc etc... think designer charge 2k for their design fees but from what i know, they will normally waive it off when u engage them for reno

only after 2nd appointment is the flat offically yours. And to use $6 to find out if a person is bankrupt is nothing as compared to some forumers went thru after going thru the documentation only to find out tt the seller is a bankrupt!

hi laolian, what's the "damage" done for your hse? i hv signed up with Jael fro taims, so far, so good....the qoutation is within my budget and some of the designs are different from the 2 other qouations and meetings i had. From the meetings i had with her, not bad since she remembered my requirements and she's quite organise hor, there's a schedule for me on when the relevant works are gonna be carried out, quite detail. Is your hse the one on the company website? it looks so modern! should be able to finish up ard end dec...!

hi winniekoh, i have signed up with TAIMS after doing some comparison with the other ids. i feel more comfortable talking to jael as compared to the other ids, since the pricing is within my budget and similar with the others. they are gonna start this week after spending intensive discussion with my id and getting the final design we like. photos will be on its way....keeping my fingers crossed!
