My lights is from lightning.com also.. but was delivered to us.. Eh... we paid for delivery coz we no car mah.. Ha.. no 1 volunteer to help pick up for us leh.. ha.. 1 bulb cracked and another got prob.. i called and they arranged to change the next day or day after, forgot liao leh.. They are ok to change whatever items got fault.. End up ask them meet near my work pl coz cannot be home in time to exchange.. near balestier anyway.. Ha.. The electrician was referring to the balast and wires need to be attached to the lighting "frame" etc.. not the bulbs.. But he said as a passing comments.. just something to ask when buying lights.. not a must lah..

Hi Pretty99, did you recv my pm on the electrican? Before calling the electrician, best you need to have a rough idea what u wanna do.. where's and the number of power points (single or twin socket), telephone points, on/off switches for heater, switches for cooker hood, est position of lights, position of fridge and TV etc.. small changes can be done later (e.g point change position).. but i tink u wan a accurate cost prediction bah.. so best u use your floor plans and mark out 1st.. easier for u to discuss with the electrician later.

Mine is from gain city also... for my case is after installation.. for me, i only asked for 2 time installation when buying.. didn't do anything else leh.. 1st round install the piping etc only.. painting finished.. then another group came and install the fancoil and compressor.. after 2nd installation, the guys passed me a form with the installers name etc.. and i signed and pass to the HDB branch office.. within 14 days if i rem correctly..

HA.. We have chosen lights same as you leh.. but at different places.. just infoo.. All my lights came in pieces.. the electrican had to spend time assembling them.. e.g screws, balast, some need to drill holes etc.. he mentioned some shops can ask them to assemble 1st then send over leh.. would save time also..

Wonder isit coz there is not enuf "noise" from renovation area that there is no enforcement at the moment, although there are templates provided but wic most do not use or know it existed.. Would enforcement help? I'm sure renovation consultants like ossify would lessen the pains of hse owners though.. but isit enuf? Need renovation enforcers? There's always a 1st time for everything mah.. like AS also.. who would have predicted they would do what they did? So there's the risk or luck factor in it also.. I believe the consumer have the absolute right to decide if he wants to live with the defect, weighting on the time/effort needed to get it replaced (contractor can provide the info). While expection should be managed, the piriority stil goes to the consumer since he is the 1 paying the load of $$.. There is no perfect house but what is acceptable shld be seen from the consumers eyes.. Luck i believe plays a very important part.. Ha.. likely some1 did talked to Henry on this.. But i still believe it is wrong for Henry to push daydream away when contacted in the beginning.
