  1. Jimuzu...sorry to hear that. I am actually trying to buy some laminates for my floor when i start reno next month. Is laminate that undependable? I mean, if the floor is solid wood or granite...this wouldnt have happened right? All u needed to do was to mop up the water thats all. I am thinking of buying supreme floor or pergo too. But i think all laminat are the same? Will warp and bloat up when in touch with moisture? Some more, dunno how my maid is gonna mop the floor anyway...care to give sometips whether I hsould buy supreme or pergo or not choose laminate at all? I am prepared to spend a bit more on granite or marble if u think laminate is not a long term thng other than the scratch proof convenience. But whatever it is, i think u dun need to recommened Inovar to me, coz i just went to their showroom yesterday for their warehouse sale. It's a fake. Prices are same as before warehouse sale. And some more they said all these are after discount. Really angry with them for wasting my time.
  2. Hi Sorry to hear about the problem. Mind telling me which supplier it is? I am in the process of trying to get a laminate floor supplier to do up my house when i start reno next month. I have so far visit Inovar in July and yesterday, but sad to say, my experience is far from satisfactory. Almost got fleeced. Luckily I still keep my quotation from them that i receive in July 09. I am thinking of getting Pergo, Fllor Options or Supreme. But again, I am also sceptical about how laminate flooring can actually live up to expectations. I am starting to doubt whether pieces of compressed wood fibers can actually hold up as a floor--whcih takes daily grind from the family. Maybe parquet should be better as it is eventually natural stuff, and not some man made stuff. Anyone has any experience with laminate that swells up like bread in water? I have heard, but have not really seen or know any one who experienced that. Scared my hard earned money will be wasted if eventually lamionate floor does not live up to expectation. It has been quite popular in the last 5-8 yeatrs but of late, i think it is dropping? Nevertheless, hope some experienced home owner can give some feedback. Still trying to overcome my anger of dealing with the Inovar people.....hai......wasted a few months of my time waitinf for their warehouse sale which turns out to be a fake.
  3. I have read a lot of this brand Inovar in the foreum here, and not very encouraging comments. My own personal experience is that they try to slash throat, as if they are only here to do business for a day and get as much profit as possible before they wind up business. They quoted me in Jul7 09, and I havent bought yet, and when I went to their warehouse sael yesterday, the prices were stil the same i the quotation for me in July. I am very unhappy with the way they try to cheat custoemers by getting unassuyming homeowners to sign up. While I was at theri showroom,l also overheard a customer saying Inovar is made from china boards but packaged in malaysia. I think i will go with other brands when i renovate next month. I am not sure which brand yet, but I think floor options, supreme or even a little more expensive pergo shold be better than Inovar whose source and quality of product is not known, and yet their sales people is like they are ready to pounce on customers all the time. Scary....sure wont wanna deal with them.
  4. But whatever you do, try to haggle for as much discount as possible from Inovar. They are having their anniversary sale and I went, and saw their prices are the same as normal. No discount. So what is an anniversary sale without discount? Not honest suppliers.
