hi tapilia, I strongly agreed with you, is the person you deal with n not the company. I engaged my contractor/Id though my house was done quite sometime ago, frm sg brides forum. Even that i posted him lots of questions to test his knowledge and patience. I think is worth the while to spend more time hunting the right guys rather than rushing to it. I feel that mature guys can handle workers and things better then the younger ones due to the experience and techincal know how.

hi friend, i think super expensive my friend. recently, my friend house a bto flat done less then $6000. that includes, kitchen cabinet, bases, whole house painting, solide surface work top, plumbing works. The renovation works done by my ex- contractor.

i agree with what you said. i got mine thru recommendations and did quite a lot of research of my contractor such as posting questions to him. compare quotes from big and small companies and most of all the experience he pocess.

Yup, i agree with you. My reno contractor is ard 40++ has 20++yrs experience, he can handsketch and draw very well better than some young cool id i have spoken too.Many so called "ID" cant even interprete in handsketch making discussion difficult. Some when come to co - ordination and controling workers are lost. but most importantly, he was refered by frds and relatives.now like family frds liao.

Dear victims of ah soon. lucky me, initially i thought of using ah soon but chose someone instead. My house done up liao. My advise to you guys is why not gang up and lodge a complaint at small claim or case. No point calling him if no action from him is taken. Anyway, may God bless you...sigh

yup, i agreed with you Mengliangchan, before i signed up i too get my reno contractor/id to bring me to those houses that has been done recently. Not only, we can see, we can feel the finishing with our hands and talk to the home owners. Think this is the only way to narrow down our search.
