Thank you for all the encouragements. I will get this contractor to replace all the chipped tiles eventually! The false ceiling was seem amended just now... But still unable to tell until the real bulb fitting. Tomorrow morning I am meeting him to discuss about the carpentry and will update this blog again....

I went to my house just now and found out that:- The washing machine base is nicely amended. All three units are nicely wrapped up. Nevertheless, the contractor had promised that the false ceiling will be corrected tomorrow. I will visit the site and update my blog again regarding about the progress.

Before I went home, I decide to check on the false ceiling in the living room. Initially, we had reached to an agreement to have a 4ft and 2ft T5 light to be installed in each L-shape pocket. However, when I measured it myself on the false ceiling, the dimension of L-shape pocket is 3ft by 1.5ft!! Nearly fainted!! Call contractor, he insist us to change the size of lightbulb instead! But where am I going to find a 1.5ft T5 lightbulb in Singapore??? Where are my basic rights as a paying customer???? Where is the basic customer service?? What should I do?? I am meeting this contractor at 5.30pm to negotiate with him again. Will update the outcome in this blog later.

I went to my master bedroom again just now. Found another chipped tile. Are there more to come??

Every is fine until we found some chips on the feature tiles of our master bedroom We request Yeak to replace the chipped tiles, but he insisted that these tiles are like that and no need change??(Is he hinting that there are more chips on the other blindspots) Anyone any solution/ideas to these tiles if cannot be replaced??

Finally, the tiles in the two toilets are laid. My wife and me are happy with the outcome of the tiles that we have selected. In addition, they are all 600 X 600mm that we want. The worksmanship are good(small gaps in between) and we like it.

We have sealed up an opening for our refrigerator. However, some blocks that are used for the sealing are in pieces as shown in the photo(poor quality? ). We highlighted these problems to Yeak, but he said these are not problems. Think the probability of wall collapsing should not be high bah(put my finger cross )

We went to Hafary at Balestier to select our floor/wall tiles. This place was strongly recomended because Yeak said the tiles will not 'warp' and better quality compare to the other tile shops. We are given samples to bring back home and eventually finalised 3 days later Initially, we chose combination 2 & 4 and told Yeak that we want them all to be 300 X 600mm only. However, we only discovered that the floor tiles only comes in 300 X 300mm when we go check the tiles after the delivery on a faithful day and was not informed about it at all(nearly fainted ). Luckily Yeak did not start on tile laying too soon, and I will have to rush down to Hafary all the way again to change to the grey floor tiles with 300 X 600mm (pic 1 & 2) The moral of the story is that the close supervision by the house owner is highly recommended bah.
