  1. Yes... but you must check if you need to pay extra for the vendor to make 2 trips... Which in my case did not need to... Why we did the piping first is that we want to see where to place the electrical switch for the air con... So, we ran the pipe and then later electrical, in this way, we hope to achieve a neater layout...
  2. Wow, your unit is really really chio... Maybe you can get media-corp to film it... "Singapore Disneyland"
  3. haha... yes he is busy with my unit... haha... was talking to him past 3 days...
  4. ninja, Is your kitchen floor tile having some surface texture? My parents' house did not have quite a bit of surface texture and as a result its slippery. So for my house, we selected a tiles with some surface texture to ensure there is enough grip between the sole and the floor surface... Maybe, you want to visit more tiles company like Soon Bee Huat and Sin Lek. For the toilet floor tiles, I think mine is the same as yours and I got it from Sin Lek...
  5. Hmm... why not you get Jason and Ah Tan together with you to sort out all things. It will be less confusing and faster. This is what rainbowgal and myself did. Ah Tan also draw out the floor plan and markdown all the down-light points and their control. He will also state his suggestion on the lights group control. Example, he told me that some of the down-light point is better to have a solo control as we can take out the down-light and mount a hanging lights or a fan should we want to do it later on. I would say, simply, spend sometimes with Ah Tan, it's worth...
  6. Actually, ours do have texture lines too... Just that it is not that deep cut... My parents place does not have any texture lines and is slippery at times...
  7. bro, maybe u print ur floor plan, ask ah tan...on spot he will explain and start to mark down the needs... that is what rainbowgal and me do... I think my wiring is almost done...
  8. Yo, kopi bro, are you going to put up your lights anytime next week? I too hope my hse will be done before CNY... but I am not in rush... rather i would prefer a better done up...

  10. Normally is 8 weeks after 1st appt. Another alternative... can ask the seller if he can move out after 1st appt and then he/she allows you to start renovation prior second appt... if okie... then good for you...
  11. Jason of U and B is currently renovating my house... His style is that we will do 1 step at a time... like for the case of mine... after hacking the floor... he will ask us to go up and talk to the tiler how we want the floor to be lay. And next, he will talk about electrical layout... cons and pro... cons: seem like no plan... pros: allow you more time to think how you want your renovation to be... research while they are working on it...
  12. seashell... is okie... i think everybody understand the situation... well, though Jason of U and B is helping the rest out... but I did see my project is still moving... I guess since there is 2 Jason Goh... maybe we shld address Jason of U and B... clearly and without confusion...

  17. If the tiles are not nice of cos will ask them to take it back, but if they are equally good or even better... why not keep them? hehe...
  18. In my opinion, yes, it is nicer... It has lot of "3D effect" rectangular patterns in a irregular fashion... quite nice...
  19. The rainbow shines on the gal and transform her to the "rainbowgal"!
  20. My house is under renovation and is by Jason. So far, in the net, some people commented that he has a lousy attitude and does not pick up call or return call... Personally, I do not have such an issue with him most of the time. So far, I can only remembered that he did not pick up my call for only 1-2 times out of the many calls I made to him... Normally, when he did not pick up the phone, I will call him back in an hour or two and will normally get through. Therefore, I think he maybe busy at that point time and maybe doing something (example, on the road and etc) and therefore is not able to return a call. Personally, i do not find his attitude a problem to me at the moment yet. i think if you talk nicely to him, he will too respond nicely to you. And I can see that he is those people who 吃软不吃硬 people. I think it is not right to link Jason and Ah Soon together as they two separate individuals. I guess the best way out for those who are worried, is to call Jason and talk to him directly about Ah Soon's case and get some assurance from him. Lastly, this is what I feel: Don't SMS him, call him and talk to him. It is more effective.
  21. Yupz, the tiles are nice... It is nice because rainbowgal and rainbowguy spent 3 hrs taking tiles from storey 1 to storey 3 of Changi Soon Bee Huat... It is fun
