I'm hoping to seek advice whether the following quote I received is reasonable for re-doing the whole of my existing 2 toilets (master bedroom toilet and common toilet) for an apartment. The total charges is about SGD19K, with following works. Appreciate your valuable feedbacks. Need to seek anybody advice. The previous owner had fix a polycarbonate roof on my existing balcony but its has been dripping with rain water every time it rained. My contractor recommend me instead of trying to repair the existing problem (which I did 3 times already). He recommend me to replace it using tiles (those tiles roof found on terrace houses). He told me this is the most effective way to prevent leaking. Any sound advice? And if I use tiles, should I fix a false ceiling under it to make it look nicer? Without the false ceiling, you can see the under side of the tiles. Thank you

Hi David I'm interested to do it for my balcony (about 1M X 5M).

Hi I need advice. Currently I have a small balcony (3meter X 4meter in apt) and the previous owner had fixed a sort of polycarbonate roof above. The leak was getting bad during heavy rainfall. I've been getting people to fix the leaks but its still doesn't work after 3 tries. I like to know anybody have good recommendation/experience of companies that does changing of roof? I'm looking at having a roof that can insulate sound during heavy rainfall and as well as my above neighbor will not able to peek down (non-transparent material). Thanks Ben

Hi I also been searching for window shield. I got quoted for sunshield brand non-reflective. I think its was something like 73% heat rejection. I was told there are those with 1mm thickness and 2mm thickness. 2mm cost more. I was quoted SGD6.5 for the 2mm. Anyone used this brand before?

I need advice for a private apartment that I bought recently. The unit is 4 years old and I just found unfortunate issue during my renovation. My master bedroom comes with a 9 meter square balcony with Glass roof top (glass is sitting on metal frame and the meter frame is sitting on top the 4 walls). The balcony is standard design with other units of the apartment. However I found out that during raining - water is sipping through all around the glass frame perimeter down my walls. My designer mention that the leaking from the top is due to the silicon is worn off and suggest the best way is to remove the whole roof and redo the silicon rather than pasting a silicon over it (which will not last). My question is whether is this responsibility of the apartment management since its nothing related to the internal of the apartment but exterior of my apartment that causes the leaking. Any advice? Thank you
