Requested for non drip edge for the solid top in case got spillage from sink/tap, can minimise impact on my laminate flooring.

Main thing is if you getting a built in oven, it has to comply with ur carpentry or to some extent ur decor. Likewise for a free standing one. Do consider that if either ur hob or oven breaks down, u may have to change it all for free standing unlike those separately built in oven and hob. Hope u get what i mean. England: Indeed, u can tell ur contractor ur preferred choice of laminates, tiles, surface top etc etc. Its ur call really since u are the one paying. For me, Mr Yeak gave some alternatives to widen my choices but due to RT and the internet, i had done plenty of research prior to all this and pretty much had my mind and heart set on specifics. Of course, to have better quality, u have to be willing to pay more dude. And as detailed by SuperSimon, Zelly Zelly and Samy jie, thicker laminates are better as described but it also depends alot on the skills of the carpenter. But in case u do intend to pay extra, do note that thicker laminates are more suited for glossy laminates then those textured ones as these glossy laminates show up the waviness in more obvious ways then the textured ones.

i didnt check out Formica so cant say leh...but if u wna kiasu abit, 2mm is very safe for glossy laminates. in terms of avoiding waviness la. i didnt see any 2mm for EDL tho. Hmm...have u initiated resident search engine yet?

Samy jie: the tempered glass top for vanity is the one that came with the basin u bought from GR link izit? Pinktini: i use Corian solid white top for kitchen wet/prep zone. Granite indian black galaxy for kitchen cook zone. Acelite solid white top for vanity in MBR.

Lol...so did Mr Yeak! he said normal edging cost $0.50 pfr. this new ones abt $3 pfr! anyways i convinced him liao coz i said the EDL boss told me price dun differ much. hah...i used the edging laminate for my study room cabinets also! glittery effect sounds like artic leh. i used that for both my bedroom wardrobes! the centre black and red rose laminates are also new additions to the EDL series.

Gimz, ur white teak sounds like what Ossify is using for his flat. Greyish tone...is that from the Vintage series? kinda faded greyish white right? almost got that for my MBR too! Haha...my cat uses the samples as his scratching post. but he scratched many times no abrasion. i tested like what ossify did too. soaked in pail of water for 3 days. no bubbles or bloated laminate encountered! only gripe i have is that footprints like quite visible leh...

got console related stuff also leh...nowadays many sales here and there but if we do normal round of window shopping can see that prices dun really differ by much. unless its a phasing out product or moving out sales. next few weeks time to for me to shop for beddings, electronics, soft furnishings, more electronics, cutleries and crockeries and even more electronics!!

So sleek and clean cut hor. i think its more costly then normal but i managed to convince Mr Yeak to give me at normal price. ur cabinets are white as well?
