  3. Think i go buy myself end up will definitely be cheaper and thanks to feimei i know where to go
  4. Just that window you see is $2K, so only for the living room window. Would have love to install in my bedroom but . . .
  5. Nope to change the switches top up $200. So i decided to go buy myself, think it will be much cheaper. For the skirting they show us a sample that is pretty close to my flooring though still not perfect. So my verdict is that they offer a lower price than others because they give you non matching non Pergo skirting. Actually i am ok that the skirting don't match exactly, i am just pissed that they try to pull this kinda of stunt. I actually asked the guy whether the alternative skirting that he's showing me is from Pergo twice and he said Yes. That's what lead me to contact Pergo directly. In the end i think they got blasted by the local distributor and all of a sudden they became very responsive and "found" a more matching skirting.
  6. Sorry don't remember exactly how much we pay for it but the most expensive one is definitely not this one. So should be below $3.
  7. Welcome Wow from Central to North is a bit extreme, i think you will find that North has its charms as well.
  8. Nah won't do that over a lamp But if gunners gets trashed by red devils maybe another story
  9. Ah yes another interesting thing happened today. Remember the issue i had with Pergo over the non matching wall skirting versus the floor? I actually sent an inquiry to Pergo in Sweden and they replied with some corporate mumbo jumbo. I thought i am resigned to having non matching wall skirting and flooring. But just now Good Rich the distributor for Pergo in Singapore actually called me and said they received the email from their principle and asked me the issue and explained to me that the skirting and floor would normally match if the items are from Pergo. I told them to go sort it out with my supplier and let me know. I have a suspicion that my supplier quoting a lower price is trying to recover their margins by using alternatives skirting's. If they can't sort it out what can i do? Get my money back but may delay the rest of my carpentry work by sourcing for another brand? Or just live with it ?

  11. Didn't expect to update the progress today because we ran out of tiles since Friday and till today nothing show up yet But was pleasantly surprise when i check out the place just now. First and foremost the ugly roof at the balcony is gone! Woo Hoo Now the kitchen is so much brighter! The aircon guys were also there, all the trunking and piping all done. After painting then install the compressor and blower unit. The electrical guys were also there and have done as much as they could. They got the fans models wrong so had to swap some of the fittings around. I want to change the switches to those bigger ones and they say gotta top up $200, just wondering if it is worth the trouble to buy and then pass to them to install.

  14. You can try Royal Fanco at 131 Jln Besar, S(208849). I just bought a Pozzi kitchen mixer from them yesterday and was stunned at the price. It looks like this one. I asked around quite a few shops and the cheapest that i got was $290 no GST, they quoted me $245 Nett! Unassuming shops with no much display but when you asked them they have all the ranges.
  15. Think Melvin is referring to the one on the left. Right Melvin? I don't think it is $7, we did not even dare to look at tiles at that price range
  16. Bro this consortium have both SPH and Singtel leh. They are the gahmen.
  17. Sorry guys, i contacted Open Net and even called all of their contractors and the answer is a big fat NO! This is my conversation with Open Net. Can pull ahead installation? NO! Can i buy the cable to lay the wire first? NO! What can you do for me? NOTHING! I have also called all their contractors in their list. Apparently only their contractors can do the work and they cannot sell the cables to me and none of them will or can help. Looks like i have to find a way for them to run the cable.
  18. Quite the opposite I feel too slow. I like your salt lamps, will check it out the next time i am in JB.
