  1. Those fancy Japanese and Korean ones will require power. I've get my contractor to install me a junction just above the WC and a uPVC conduit to the WC height. Its not a"legal" practice by PUB standard.
  2. My dad is a retired carpenter, so after all the "interview" done by my wife, we finally agree to let a old-master contractor to take our troublesome case, and my dad get his friend to take care of the wood work. We(70% my dad, 20% me & 10% wife) agree to use American white oak for our room flooring, which scare the layer so much that he dare not guarantee us. Homogeneous tiles end up "have to be" from *cough cough* china due to lack $$$ and selection from Italy & Spain One issue with the "old master" we engage, he's not willing to do illegal stuff like conceal piping.
  3. Some old master believe that pig n snake will nv agree with each other, hope u have better luck than me
  4. imho, MK 13A power outlet are more for safety hence more difficult to use 2 pin plug with it. Their material are more heat resistance, but more easily crack. Clipsal switches have more flexibility. You can buy a 4 gang switch and replace one with the fan speed control.
  5. My MBR toilet is 11m away from my kitchen toilet. After all the consideration, I found that the storeroom(near to the kitchen) is a good place I can install the storage water heater. Question:- Is if its allowed by PUB? Any issue with co-efficiency? Since the hot pipe going to be around 17-18m to the mbr toilet.
  6. Yes indeed, we are planning for a simple and "easy to clean" design to make house cleaning more easy. With my rather low budget, I'm looking at hiring my own contractor instead of using ID.
  7. My(buyer) agent sent me the 5k guarantee AFTER the 1st appointment, which meant nothing as hdb now hold on to the cov I paid and will get to legal issue with seller if they fail to complete the transaction. Its a dirty trick, your agent should have buy and sent you the insurance after you pay the 5k deposit.
  8. EA Pasir Ris Valuation:510k COV: 34k High floor, reno average(My plan is to hack everything off anyway)
  9. Go for the power of attorney. I went to the firm in the HDB office, cost me around 210. The power of attorney in not just a simple piece of letter. It require a lawyer as witness, and sent to high court. Also HDB will require 2 verify copies(also need lawyer signature).
  10. "unscrupulous" is the best word in my mind so far... will tell u my story after 2nd appt.
  11. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10322p.nsf/w/...ment#Bankruptcy "The Official Assignee's consent is not required if a bankrupt flat owner wishes to sell his/her HDB flat which does not vest in the Official Assignee. This applies to bankrupt flat owners who belong to Singapore citizen households. For bankrupt flat owners of Singapore Permanent Resident Households ("SPR households"), it is a requirement that they get the Official Assignee's consent before they can sell their flat. The letter of consent must be obtained from the OA before the owners grant an Option to Purchase to the prospective buyers." I sent an email to the OA, and question what IF the seller play foul, keep the deposit and do not go ahead with the sales. So far I've not received any reply yet.
  12. Both the seller are Singaporean, hence they do not need OA consent to sell HDB flat.
  13. seriously... 100mm is huge to accommodate that 2 hair like cable.
  14. Your post now sacre the **** out of me. I've just paid the $1k + $4k deposit to a bankrupt seller that dun show face. All the while I'm only dealing with his agent.... I've to keep my finger cross.
