  1. Hi As per topic, any suggestions how Balcony Doors should be like ? Why ? The owners have removed the balcony doors and so far most of those flats we seen had it removed. We are thinking if sliding ones work better ? or those with fixed doors with one door that open to the balcony ? What's yours ? Any photos to share ?
  2. really ah. ok noted. so the more cant spill coffee and stuff. my only concern is my dog ... think i better lock her in kitchen or balcony when we are not at home.
  3. Floor is important. Furniture old can throw. Cabinets old can hack and redo. Floor wants to change will have to shift out then change.... too cumbersome. It is for a long time if no intention to sell. If fact if not because of my existing floor ( turning yellow !) , we probably didnt think of upgrade either. haha....
  4. wow it look very nice! Sleek. We are considering between Black or Grey. The concern is Grey may stain ? If accidently spill stuff and dont realise fast enough ?? Though scratches wont be obvious. Black may scratch in long run ? And scratches are obvious ? But still we think Granite flooring is good investment ( though really ex. heard about 10k for a 5 room size ) and it does affect valuation if we further upgrade in future. So it will still be granite but need to decide the colour. What other colours are recommended ?
  5. Anyone has this ? 1)How to maintain the shine ? Read from website that you need Stone Soap ? What is that ? How much does that cost ? 2)Can we just use normal floor detergent ? 3)If we do black granite, will it show scratches in years in come ?
  6. Depends on what you want i think. Homogeneous is nice to look ( sleek & trendy feel ) at but it is not durable. If you intend to sell your flat later, i presume is ok . My last flat is Ceramic glazed. It is definitely better than Ceramic Matt ( current flat ). Ceramic chipped when you drop something hard on it. Homogeneous if chipped, will show similar colour. Now we are looking at getting Granite for our upcoming flat because Granite is suppose to be the hardest stone ( next to diamond ). Though i think the choice of the country make is important. Understand from contractor that if you go for Granite , you need to choose India make ( more ex) but at least it wont absorb water ( means stain if you spill ). Marble will need polish in a few years time ( according to friends who has it ). Overall if you are looking into a long stay . I think flooring is important. Friend just told me recently, is worth all the money! Is true, the first qn the valuator came the other day , she asked. This floor is ceramic right ? So i do think the different flooring will affect your valuation price also.
  7. totally agreed.... after two days of viewing , i really do think that agent is one playing the COV game ! I wonder when i will actually find the 5rm flat I want.... but is ok we will take our own sweet time to choose . will not join in the stupid COV speculation.
