Good News cant wait to share. Shirley from Lion City Company agreed to change for me FOC ! ( despite no box liao , so we told her we will bring our box ( same size, they just need to change the sticker label) to return on her on coming saturday) What a relief! Here's the story, I went down with husband during lunch ( took time off), asked if she remembers me. And she said yes. I asked if she remember what i bought, then i point to the display hood and Hob. She said yes, then i ask if she could help me check the invoice. Then she asked me what happened.We told her we received the stainless steel one but only realised yesterday, but contractor already throw off the box when they took measurement for the hole to cut the solid surface. She say is ok, they made the mistake and agreed a change. Her husband looked at the invoice and say model no. not wrongly delivered . Then I told him, we only check the model no. on box to the invoice , hence didnt expect it to be stainless steel model n not glass. But Shirley ( lady boss) remembered. She told her husband she quoted me for the glass but her staff invoice wrongly and we are long time customers for more than 10 yrs , hence shouldnt short change us ( which is true, 1st flat in woodlands was in 1998, then current 4 room 6 yrs back, then this 5 room). For once, I felt so glad that we always come back to this shop !( I Brought along the old invoice for current 4 room if needed to prove our loyalty) Loyalty does pay off ! So I will take this opportunity to promote for them. Prices wise, they are quite good. My fridge, washing machine, fans recommended by them then are antiques by now but still going strong ! However they may not carry every brand ( which explain why we buy our Sony TV from Courts instead). Hence go to big retailers, get the model and the price, then check out this shop and bargain ! Not fengshui sharing below but pushing in law of attraction : Emotion generates thoughts. There are millions of thoughts by us everyday. Each thought may or may not result in an action. For the action done, it will result in a consequence. Each consequence will give rise to a new emotion or increases an old emotion. That will raise a new thought or grows an old thought. Hence it is a cycle. This cycle is call procreation Cycle. Hence the more you focus on NOT getting a job, obeying law of attraction, you'll not get a job. Similarly the more you focus on getting a good one, the higher chance you will get a very good one. I think the moral of this learning is to teach one to be positive. However like the rest posted here, I also believe in bazi, fengshui and personal hardwork. Sitting there doing nothing, thinking positive and having good fengshui will not see success until you put in hardwork. Hence everything comes in a package. Btw another thing i realise.... do you have storage under your bedframe ? It is believed that bedframe with airspace below is more ideal for a good career path. I have seen friends with beds (storage underneath or they put boxes to save space) losing their jobs . How true I am not certain but no harm considering . Also North side of the house is where the career sits, represented by blue colour or black. Adding blue (water) or white/silver/grey(metal) will enhance water. However in 2010 , San Sha ( 3 killings is also in North ). Enhancing north represented by career also meant u are increasing San Sha I think. So it may be about balance. If u really into fengshui, u better get a qualified FSM to audit your home.

I am just a fengshui reader so you can go ahead to discount what i am going to type below. There are a few different schools of fengshui. Hence maybe that explain the conflicting judgement by different fengshui master ? There is another way to look at this. Use a compass, locate the direction of your kitchen. If your kitchen sits in the SouthEast of your house, that means your wealth is in the kitchen.Hence maybe thats why some people works well with open concept's kitchen, some dont. It may depend on which direction your kitchen is. Southeast is represented by the Wood Element. Hence to enhance the wealth, you will need colours of green, or brown or elements of wood. Blue goes with green because you feed water to produce the wood, thus you are growing your wealth. However stove means fire. Fire will exhaust Wood ( slow down or reduces ). And what really destruct wood is metal. And Water destruct Fire. Confused now ? Why people dont put stove opposite or next to sink is because of this . Water will destroy the fire. However it depends on what you want to achieve and which corner of the house does your kitchen sit. For some this may be ideal, for some it is not. Eg if your kitchen sits in South ( where it represents fame ), South = fire. Having a blue kitchen will destroy fame. Having a Green / Wood colour kitchen will means you feed wood to grow fire, hence you will have fame. The cure for a sink next to a stove, is just to put a wooden chopping board between the two. Hence water will produces wood which wood is feed into fire. Eg. if you kitchen sits in Southwest ( where it represents relationship ) , SW = Earth. Having earth colour will be good. Also having a red kitchen means fire will produces and enhances the earth. Hence you will have a good relationship. However if your SW kitchen happen to be woody in colour , it totally destroy good relationship ( with friends / family /spouse ) There are more for diff directions, but suggest if you are keen, please pick up one of Lilian Too's old fengshui book. It is pretty interesting.

The invoice only written Electrolux Hob and the model no..... and the display unit dont have model no. also.... actually i dont even know if they quote wrongly the price ?... maybe tml i ask what is the price of the tamper glass first... glass cost more than stainless steel ? anyone know ? I am certain i was quoted for the glass one. She even say since it is the 3rd time we are buying... she will give me a special discount... /... sob...

actually it is only today, i go internet search that i realise the model written was really the stainless steel one. when we buy things,.... how will we ever know if it is the wrong model ? I am going to ask if she remember me and remember my purchase, before i ask her why she deliver the stainless steel one. thinking of this make me feel like crying again...

Husband unlike me will keep even very old clothes... For him.. new clothes come in old clothes go (hence less cluttering )... for me.. is maybe can wear next time.. most things will keep n keep.... or the feeling that maybe fashion will come back.... very auntie I know.

Wrong Kitchen Hob Delivered Only Realise now !!! Something happened today or rather only realised today.... . I am very very upset. I bought this tempered glass model of Kitchen Hob ( even took photos on handphone, except it was two burners instead of 3 ) but they delivered this . To my horror, rechecking the model on invoice, it was wrongly written as the stainless steel model ! The solid surface was already cut, only havent install... but the contractors already throw away the box !!! I cried.... What will you do if you are me ? Will you live with the mistake ? Will you attempt a change ? Will you insist a refund despite invoice saying no refund allowed after delivery ! I cant check then as the box was below the glass chimney hood !

after going thru ur thread... for once i felt normal haha... i kept asking husband if i am 鸡蛋里挑骨头"searching for bones in eggs". I will also do detail checks like you in all stages. But come on its our house, its better they fix early ! More importantly once they know u really look into depth... the latter work they will be more careful ! all these effort will be worth it! Hence ID, or contractor, it is still our house... better work hard in the monitoring to avoid later disappointment or rectification at handover date .

box up is really illegal. for our existing 4 room, our contractor apply for the permit to box up but was rejected. still we went ahead to box up... then a few yrs .... neighbour unit waterproofing old liao ( flat 20+ yrs old ), end up we got to hack the box up ( cos it was wet !) , before we can ask HDB to come ck. then after complaint.. we ended up having to pay 1/3 of the cost upstairs.... We complaint.... but ended up they get a new toilet flooring n new toilet bowl n basin... with us paying a share... / me sob... after u hack off the box.. u ended up with holes on ur wall tiles... very ugly ! so do box up at your risk... maybe need to consider how old ur flat is.

It's would be an ideal setup in a small house , but for us we are fortunate to have slightly more space than current flat so umple of place to play around.

Hmm.. did i miss out anything I wonder.

For now more pigeon hole for books and toys storage. Winter Clothings will be store here, will have some spare section here. Maybe Gymbag is more ideal here... hmm see how. Hi Joswwl. Welcome to renotalk . Nice place. Pardon my ignorance, your flat came fully renovated when you purchase it ? So in the Oct ballot exercise, did you get to see the physical flat first before you made the choice. I must say it is a good choice because it is already so well done up. Dont need to do too much reno.
